Hello, I am looking for standard Nintex process map templates ie create a process, edit a process, approve and publish, review and improve, archive.I am sure I have seen these before but cannot find them in the Nintex Gallery or elsewhere. Are they hiding somewhere? ThanksAnde
I keep getting a notification that I have 10 risks to deal with on the risk module add-in on Process Manager. However, my dashboard is empty, with the exception of a cactus and a message to say that ‘something went wrong, please try again’.I am a Promaster, so I am used to seeing things on my dashboard that are not necessarily within my control, but at least I can see them and they add up to the number in the red dot. But this is winding me up as I can’t see any of the 10 risks that I have outstanding.Anybody have any ideas?
Good morning, Is there a template available to use for reviewing a process prior to sending it for approval and publishing?ThanksAnde
I am trying to create a process with 2 separate pathways based off a decision. It’s a process to show people which documents to use when managing a project. I want to have it reach a Decision Point where if it is over $75K, it will diverge and take a path. And if it is below $75K it will diverge and take a different path. I just cannot see anything like that in all of my settings. I feel like this is a very simple thing and should be possible in theory? Also my Promapp looks very different to a lot of the tutorial videos and instructions I have found. Here are some screenshots for reference.
I have 100% completed a course, but I cannot move onto the next module:Any ideas on what I might need to do?
I have seen that Nintex provides its own graphical notation for the automation of business processes. There is also a Nintex process mapping tool that can edit BPMN processes. Is there any relation between the two, i. e., is it possible to translate BPMN into Nintex notation or vice versa?
Hello, I am attempting to import some BMPM (BPMN2) files from SAP ALM into Nintex and I cannot find a way (program or online tool) to convert to XPDL.This KB listed is old and the link to a converter comes up as a dead link, googling hasn’t helped. Can anyone assist? Thanks
Hello, I would like to propose that Tasks would not automatically default to start with @TODO.Frequently, BAs will leave steps open when developing a process, and they appear as @TODOs in the list, when in actuality, they are not. I address this in training, but dashboards are still littered with noise from empty steps. Am I the only one? Thank you, Victoria
Hi, I’m doing a restructure of our process groups and finding that we have a lot of documents that do not have associated processes but are associated with a group. Does this mean they are not linked to a process and therefore can be deleted? I’ve seen previous questions regarding associated processes for reporting and it was an error happening so just want to make sure it’s not an error first. Thanks
Does anyone have any advice relating to identifying links that are associated with unpublished processes? The Documents List and Linked Items and Web Link reports are useful but can be misleading as they don’t indicate if a link is associated with an unpublished process (or unpublished changes). For example, if you see an item with 0 attachments, no associated processes listed you’d think it isn't used in any processes but this is only true for published change. If the item is linked in an unpublished process (or unpublished changes) the report doesn't include this. Has anyone noticed this too? are there any recommended work-arounds? or is it impossible to tell without going through each unpublished process to see if a link may/may not be included?
This may be an enhancement request. Please let me know your thoughts on this.We are trying to force the content of a “Note” in Process Manager to avoid wrapping text for long sentences. The hard return (“shift” + “enter”) forces the text onto the next row just fine, however, when also adding “spaces” after the hard return, the system ignores the spaces and wraps the text.Said another way: While in “edit” mode inside a “Note” what you see is Not what you get (when in view mode). In other words, the text wraps in view mode even though it “appears” differently in edit mode (spacing looks how we want). See images. One (with a vertical line on Left) shows “edit” mode appearance, and the other image shows in “view” mode while opening “Note” in “Map”.Reason for doing this is to create a workaround that will make lists appear in a more readable format for the users of the process. Yes, we could create the list in an attachment, but prefer to keep the info in a “Note” that is nicely formatted
Hello,Why can’t I have swim-lanes in subprocesses within the Process Model?I’ve created a high-level process model, consisting of a few collapsed subprocesses, I can click into the collapsed subprocess, yet I cannot add swim-lanes, and this is where I want to actually put them to determine the roles of who is doing what.I’m using process model as its still at a high level and its concept/designing a business process, so I don’t want to start doing business processes until we have the basic concept “signed off” as such.Is there a reason for not being able to use swim-lanes in collapsed subprocesses? Is there any plans to add this in the future?ThanksWayne
Hello, our organization will be onboarding our internal audit team soon and we are trying find the best way they can audit using Nintex. Our internal audit team audits all groups that are currently in Nintex and we have added them to view each group process. Now not all steps/activities/task will be audited (most yes, but not all) and we wanted to be able to identify those steps/activities/task that don't require audit. Since there is less that they would not audit then audit we figured a tag would work best, however we don't want the other users to see that tag. (for example we want the auditor to know maybe a certain step isn't required by CMS guidelines, however we don't want the examiner to know that because it may cause them to be more careless) We only want to auditors to see it. Is that possible? Or maybe someone knows of a better way?
We are working on setting up Process Approvals/Acknowledgements, but are running into issues when attempting to have 3 different levels of changes. Level 1 - Regular Approval Process Level 2 - Process Acknowledgements (Critical Changes) Level 3 - No Approval (Formatting/Typos)Does anyone have any best practices for how to manage Level 2 and 3?For Level 2, I am worried that Process Owners won’t turn on/off the acknowledgements at the right times. What is the best way to manage this? Are there any reports available that indicate if a Process Owner has turned on/off the feature? For Level 3, how can a process editor skip the approval process? I appreciate the guidance!
Hi allI am not sure if I am missing something, but as Promaster I can view all overdue risk treatment signoffs under my risk dashboard but cannot see the overdue risk reviews. I would like to know if there is a way for these to also pull through to my risk dashboard and whether i can have the ability to sign off risk reviews on other’s behalf. I meet with the senior leadership team quarterly to review risks and it would be much easier if i could sign these off after this meeting on their behalf.
Hello everyone,We have noticed that when creating an action plan, the actions that need to be resolved in a sequential matter i.e. Action 2 can’t be complete until action 1 is addressed, unless we create them in the same order that we want them to be completed, there is no way to rearrange them (at least not that we know of).For instance, if we create an action plan with say 3 actions and later on, we realised that we missed one that should be completed ‘before’ the 3rd action in the original plan, the newly created action will show at the top or at the bottom of the action plan.Is there a way to ‘drag’ the action or reorganise it so it is shown in the desired order in accordance with their sequence of completion? The same applies if the actions were not created in a sequential order (of completion) and later on it is decided to reorganise them accordingly. It doesn’t seem to be possible at the moment.Appreciate your insights on this. Thanks,Carlos
Hi,As per subject line I have received an enquiry wanting to know if Promapp has an API interface? In addition to be able to map out their processes they would also like to have integration to the system to pull out the next steps and templates via API. They are enquiring about the reporting API functionality. Is the above possible? thank you in advance for your response.
Hi,I am a Promaster and I get this error when attempting to reattach a document to a process. Document was initially deleted from process as an updated version of same document was needed. Newer version replaced old via the edit document option under ‘Replace with new version’ in the Document tab menu. Neither the Attach Existing Document option finds the existing document in document library, nor the Upload New Document option allows you to do so because it is already an existing document in the system.Couldn’t find this issue being posted before. Thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.Regards,Ulises
Hi,I’m a Promaster with admin rights but I’m having difficulties identifying where auto-reply sent emails reside as the configure tab only seem to show on/off functions but not the actual emails that are sent to our organisation Promapp account when for instance an account is locked or when user is trying to log in without having an actual account. I want to potentially adjust the wording or email and also exclude individuals who get notified by email that are no longer part of the team. Many thanks for your guidance,Regards,Ulises
In a process can I link back to a previous step. Say step 3 in a process to step 2 and step 9 loop back to step 7?
Hi! Question around Process Models - we are trying to move models from one group to another, however cannot find anywhere to do this - models don’t show up in the admin>manage groups screen and there is nowhere in the summary of the model that allows you to edit the group. Surely it is possible to do this and I’m just not seeing it? I’m very concerned the only way to get this done is to export, delete then reimport the model…. Any help would be appreciated!
We are excited to announce that localization is coming soon to Nintex Process Manager! This means we will start supporting multiple languages, beginning with German, French, and Spanish. What is Localization? With the release of “localization” for Process Manager, we will officially start supporting languages other than English for the Process Manager user experience. These localization efforts will not only help existing customers find it easier to get work done in Process Manager but will also enable us to introduce additional language support rapidly in the future based on customer demand. The initial localization work will cover the UI elements created and managed by Nintex. This does not include user-generated process content itself, but process content level translation is something we are looking to support in the future; this can be facilitated through process variations today. How to Enable Localization Regardless of the site’s default language, users will be able to change th
Hi everyone,Users in my organisation sign in to Promapp using SSO after they have been previously set up using their name and their work email address as their log on.In relation to subject line, I would like to know If the authentication done behind the scenes is done via an integration from another system or manually, as in when requested by the user? This query is from in internal business analyst wanting to determine the potential impact of a user email domain change would have on their SSO log on. My guess is that to maintain user access the simplest way would be to update the log on field with their new email address and the SSO should continue to work? Thanks in advance,U
Hi there, I’m wanting to get some advice - particularly from organisations with regulatory functions eg. Councils. We have had a change in the system we use for our document management and while looking to change wording in processes to the new system (which is a manual process of 400+ processes), System tag change is easy - it’s wording within the process that causes manual work. What do other people do in a process when referring to saving a document in a particular system? Do you use the actual system name (which could change any time and mean more rework) or do you use a generic name - like Record Management System, EDRMS etc.Keen to hear others ideas.
In the most recent Proces Manager Update 4.11.19, the team have removed the ability to edit documents directly within search results. This has massively reduced the ease of use of the platform, as Document editors and document owners now need to go to All Documents > Search for the document > Edit, when previously they could just do it from the search screen. There does not seem to be any reason behind this change outside of aesthetics, but it has made it much more difficult and inconvenient for document owners and editors to administer their documents.
