Nintex Automation K2

HiBecause of the upcoming deprecation of Exchange Online EWS I’m testing moving our environments over to using MSGraph.I upgraded to 5.9 successfully.  Ran the Exchange Online Migrate wizard successfully and email works.  However, it appears when I look at the Connection String editor for mail configuration that its still using EWS as it didn’t add the MSGraph settings.  I checked and the Azure Enterprise app was added successfully with the correct permissions.  The resource shows correctly in Management.  I tried following the article about manually configuring some of the connection string settings but email then failed.   Is the Migrate wizard supposed to take care of all of the settings or am I missing something?  I’ve restored the VM and retried 4 times so far without any luck.

Hi,I'd like to have a discussion about the section titled "Update the Service Account password after expiry" at the end of the documentation https://help.nintex.com/en-us/nintexautomation/icg/5.8/Content/Plan/Accounts.htm.I know that the password for the K2 service account can be changed using the K2 Setup Manager, but the wizard sometimes takes a long time to complete all its steps, and on top of that, re-applying the latest Fix Pack is another thing that needs to be done - even though changing the service account password seems so simple.I’d like to focus on the second method, which uses command-line parameters.Does anyone know of any other possible parameters for SourceCode.SetupManager.exe, or perhaps all of them?For example, I’m wondering if this method can also be used to change the password for

Hi guys, I do really need help regarding this problem. I couldn’t find K2 Setup Manager in Start Menu. Thus, I can’t enable SmartAction. Mine is version 5.9. Does anyone have same issue as mine??

Hello together,I have a problem with my K2 Smartobject. I have a SQL Database on another Server. When I configure the instance I use “static” authentification method. I connects to the server and no error message. Then when I try to use the method to get all the database entries. I get an error message. I think it uses a different conntext user. How can I use the right context SQL user? I’m also missing the methos for creating and updating a databaseI hope you can help me. Best regardsMatthias

Hello together,I have an a string which look like this “test01@test.com;test02@test.com;test03@test.com”. No I want to loop through the string and send a spearate email to each email address. I tried this several times, but it won’t work in K2 Workflows Engine with the loop. Can you suggest me how I can build that kind of loop and send emails out?My workflow looks like that.Best regardsMatthias

Hi everyone. This is for my project. The scenario is the e-form will send out to the user and user will response through email outlook. That response (eg. Approve/decline) will determine the next progress in the workflow. Is there any possibility that the workflow or K2 five able to do such scenario? If can how can I setup in the workflow to receive the answer from outlook so that it will proceed to the next step?I just heard about smartAction that able to solve my problem. But how can I configure that smartAction since I dont have it in the K2 management. This is a new feature for me, so a bit confuses.

Hi,I have a K2 list view which uses a list display for one of the column controls. The control is bound to a field called “AnswerID”, and uses a smartobject called “Answers”, which contains the answer ID and description. This all works and displays the answer description when the ID is present in the underlying list view smartobject dataset.We also want to provide a way to update this answer, so in the Add/Edit row I have a drop-down list which is populated by another smartobject: “QuestionAnswers”. This contains the list of possible Answer IDs given the current Question ID. The display value is looked up from the associated “Answers” smartobject and the ID field is the AnswerID. When a row enters edit mode, this drop-down is populated for the relevant question. This also works.Where I am running into an issue is when applying the changes to the edited row. Got a Choice Control with 5 items with multiple option selection enabled.The last option in the list is Other, when the user ticks that box, I want it to make a textarea become visible underneath, A advanced rule works if you only pick the Other box and it shows/hides the textarea accordingly.However, if the user picks another item and the Other option, then it doesn;t work. With Multiple data type, i did a message and it shows the value as Option1;Option2 etc etc. So i assumed I could you advanced rule to say if Choice CONTAINS the Other value, but it won’t work. Why doesn’t the advanced condition work? The Choice control has two items picked, so you would think I could that in an advanced condition to say if it contains Other then do something. Any ideas?  

What was the thinking behind keeping the value entered in the Specify your own property - In the Choice List Control? By default the text entry is read only and greyed out (which is expected), but when you tick the Specify your own value, then enter something and Untick it afterwards, why does it retain the Value?  The natural action should be to empty the value when unticked, but as you can see, if keeps the value. There doesn’t even appear to be a way to clear the property via rules when unticked either.Come on Nintex, why all these basic bugs? This just hinders development.  I just seem to be spending days/weeks/months fighting K2 bugs than doing any development these days, I can see this leading to waving Goodbye to K2 in the near future despite all the time and effort invested.

In the initial Setup Manager. Hi,Is there a quick way to check file attachments added by a user to form for duplicate names? Users occasionally add the same attachment which causes problems down the line, so I would like to deal with the issue before the K2 forum is sent.The users use a K2 form button to add attachments and they appear in a List view on the form.What is the best way to prevent them adding duplicates or sending the form if there is a duplicate document attached Thanks  

Hi, Could you please advise whether a workflow can be automatically actioned using a basic task form when data is inserted into the SQL database, with minimal manual interaction?The intent is to manage and action tasks directly through the Workspace, without developing a custom form.We would appreciate confirmation on whether this approach is supported within the existing workflow capabilities.Thank you for your support.

Hi,I have a ticket open for this and haven’t received a response for a while, in the meantime, has anyone else come across this issue when adding MSGraph as a Feature? I added description, have the correct email address, added the domain, then click Update and then this error pops up. Any ideas?Tried running the web browser as the K2 service account and also as Administrator, still get the error.Any suggestions appreciated.Thanks 

I have downloaded and installed the Material Design 3 custom controls from the Nintex gallery into our K2 5.9 test instance, and am seeing some issues with the rendering of controls.Firstly in View design, it does not seem to render icons at all - it just shows the name of the icon. This I can live with, although not ideal for authoring. Also row heights do not increase with the control heights, so it is not always possible to view the full control - especially with Cards. When you try to select the controls to edit the properties, you must click right at the top of the table cell, and only a slither seems to be selected, rather than the whole control itself - I assume this is what is preventing the row height from increasing.Probably most annoying is that not all icons are displaying correctly or anything like how they show in Google fonts - for instance the ‘person_book’ icon simply displays as a person icon next to a book icon. I assume I am missing a <link> s

Hello,While testing our upgrade to 5.9 (FP4), we have noticed that dropdown lists no longer jump to an option when the first letter is typed. For example, if we had a list of US States, in previous versions typing ‘H’ would jump straight to Hawaii. In 5.9 it seems to only select the first ‘blank’ option. Is this by design or is it a bug?

  There is no way to re-size it, and yes the browser is full screen…. 

Can you create an OOF that excludes certain workflow processes? I have sensitive financial information on a certain workflows where OOF should not be applicable.I note there is an exception feature, but that requires to nominate another person to delegate the task to - and won’t allow the original FQN.Any suggestions? And oh, the OOF needs to be created automatically (via a workflow) using smartobjects (or any other means).
