The function is used to populate a reporting list from a customized SmartObject. However, when the button is clicked, K2 throws the error “An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host”, and the reporting list cannot be displayed.

This issue occurs only at the K2 application level. When I execute the SQL script directly against the database, it completes successfully and returns 86 rows.

Are you executing this SmartObject from a SmartForm or from a custom application?

Does the SmartObject execute successfully when tested from the K2 Management Site or the K2 SmartObject Service Tester tool?

If the SmartObject fails from both the K2 Management Site and the SmartObject Service Tester, the issue may indicate a problem with the SQL Server service instance configuration or a network/connectivity issue between the K2 application server and the SQL Server being accessed.  Perhaps you need to increase connection time out or verify TLS/SSL configuration between K2 and SQL server.
