Document Generation Token Error

Just wanting to check if anyone else is having instances get paused on Document Generation steps? Starting this morning, we have multiple workflows that are stopping at doc gen actions, complaining that the access token expired yesterday.  I’m not aware of any access token needed for document generation, so I don’t believe this is on our end.  I do see in the “What’s New”, that document generation was changed yesterday, which probably isn’t a coincidence.  I have made a support ticket, but I’m waiting for a response.  Thank you!

Is there a way to tell what login credentials are stored for Nintex Connections and Data sources?

We have configured several Nintex cloud connections and datasources using different M365 “service accounts”. Is there a quick way to tell what credentials are configured on any particular connection or data source?

Cursor in text box goes back to the start while typing, in Forms in Workflow Cloud

I have a form with several dropdowns that populate depending on other values typed in & selected. When users have already selected what they want, and start typing in the comments in a text box, in the middle of typing, the cursor goes back to the beginning of the paragraph. It is really annoying. I have an mp4 video I wanted to share, but it is over 5 MB and won’t upload. I will try compressing it later.  Can anyone help or should I report this as a bug?

Exporting a data table from one Nintex environment to another (a how-to)

I am making good use of Nintex Data Tables now. It is especially good for getting a quick response in your workflow form. Sometimes calls to our on-prem SQL database take several seconds. But I ran into a problem whenever I moved my data from Test into Production.  While there is a nice “Import” feature to Tables, there is no Export.  So I built one, and I’ll display that here below. The “Import” process takes a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, so I will generate that using a workflow in my Test environment. First, create a workflow and set the Start Event as a Nintex Component workflow.Insert the following actions that we will configure:Query a table Create a text string Loop for each (inside your loop) Create a text string Send an email (or substitute some other method of obtaining your output Configuring these actions:For “Query a table” you simply select your Table and select all the columns you want. Nintex lookup SQL Server on prem 5000 record limitation bypass?

Our company’s customer master has more than 10000 records and we cant do a straight lookup to sql on premise due to the 5000 records limitation. Is there any way to get around this limitation so we can lookup fields? Has anyone encountered a similar situation?

Clear SPO Hyperlink field via Workflow action in Nintex Automation Cloud

Is there a way to clear a hyperlink field in Sharepoint Online using the SPO Update Items action in Nintex Automation Cloud? Leaving the field empty in SPO Update Items doesn’t seem to do anything to the field in Sharepoint.

Trigger notification if connection is expiring

We have connections upon connections as I’m sure most do. How do we trigger a notification if a connection is expiring? This is causing all kinds of issues that stretch beyond a workflow not running. Has anyone found a way to monitor tokens and alert the owner, or anyone BEFORE it expires?

Editable Repeating Section for Task - Data do not follow in task form

I have many forms in my workflow with the same repeating section “PRODUCTS”Start form DC Control Sheet STEDI Approval DC Closing StageI am able to copy data of my repeating section form the Start Form to my task form DC control Sheet. In that form, I have new fields in my repeating section. I want the content of these fields to also be copied to the other 2 task forms.I am using the getCollectionItem in a rule. But it is not working, my fields stay blanks.getCollectionItem([Workflow].[Assign a task to DC Control Sheet].[Assign a task to multiple users].[First response].[Form variables].[Products].[Condition After Inspection],[Products].[Current row].[Row number]-1)I have attached my workflow. I someone can help me finding why my fields in my repeating section are blanks in the STEDI Approval and DC Closing Stage, it will be great.

Set Variable to Lowercase

In our Nintex Automate workflow, use the Get Manager Details action to populate a variable with the manager’s email but the email has capitalization. How do we lowercase the value? The set variable value action doesn’t let you apply the function toLower. This is a problem because the generate document show one email all lowercase (context current user) and one with capitalization (get manager details).

RegEx to add a space after a comma

There is a similar question about this topic (here), but I added a question at the end of it that's never been answered - possibly because the original question has already been marked as solved.I use @burked's solution for getting rid of the brackets and quotation marks from items in a collection, and that works fine. But it seems that NWC no longer puts a space after the comma that separates the items. So I get output like this:Choice 1,Choice 2,Choice 3,Choice 4 Of course, what I want is this:Choice 1, Choice 2, Choice 3, Choice 4 I know next to zilch about RegEx, so I can't figure this out. Is there an expression to add a space after each comma so that the output isn't so ugly?

Repeating section in start form. Same repeating section in a task form with data from start form.

I have a repeating section in start form. In a Task Form, I want to display the row of data from the start form repeating section. And add an editable field for each row to get a status for each row.How can I do that?I understand that I can do a loop for each and get item from collection, but how can I have the data in my task form?

Rename the uploaded file from the starting form to one of the variables and save it to SharePoint

Hi all, can you please help me sort out my issue, I have been looking everywhere and I can't find a solution.At the start event form, I set the file upload, this file will always have a different name (depending on the user) I wonder if there is a way to rename it to one of the variables and save it on the SharePoint folder.

Document Generation - show multi-choice checkboxes on PDF

I have a responsive form from which I am generating a PDF from a template. That’s working fine but because the PDF that is generated is both internal and customer facing, I’d like to be able to display a multi-choice checkbox lookup field as those checkboxes (along with the options selected) instead of returning the submitted information in a string. Is this possible? Or if I’m overthinking and there’s a better way to do this, I’m all ears. I did find the same question here but the images aren’t available & I’m struggling to wrap my head around it.As a part 2 to this question, I’m finding that anytime I make a change to the template, I’m having to retag every single field and not just the one that changed. Is this expected behavior?

Modified column in SharePoint

Hi, I’m using Nintex Automation Workflow cloud and noticed that my admin account is applied to the “modified by” column. I am assuming every time the workflow runs through an action like “update item” it applies my admin acct name. Am I understanding this correctly?I was asked why I was modifying the item in sharepoint and I’m not, my thought to this was that every time the workflow ran through an action that, that happened. Can someone explain?

Repeating section data - assigning to specific files from an attachment field in NWC

All,Looking for some basic help here.I have a separate repeating section which will gather 5 separate pieces of DATA for each specific attachment added to an attachment field within a group on the Nintex workflow form.Can I then grab and assign that data to each attachment and write it all to a Library in SharePoint?In effect if I have 3 attachments, ROW 1 data will be for file1, Row2 for file 2 and Row 3 for file 3.  But I haven’t a clue how to do this in a Lop for each in the workflow.

Copy Repeating section data between tasks

I’ve seen with a recent update the I can Copy the data from a Repeating Section down from the start form and into a task, and the data is editable. This is great for our workflows, but I’ve run into an issue in getting the data to copy between two tasks.We have two tasks(A and B) after the Start Form in a Branch by Stage action. The Initial/Default Branch flows to task A, that has two options Complete or Send to the Other Brach that has Task B when they click submit. Task B on the Other Branch, has the exact same options so information can flow between A and B until A is satisfied and they choose to Exit and end the workflow.The issue with the Repeating Section that I'm having is that the data in that only seems to flow one way. Task A can receive the data from the Start form and Task B can receive it from A, but if B sends back to A, A still uses the Start Form’s data.I got around this with all the other variables by writing them into a workflow variables after the Start Form and maki

NWC Forms - "is not" or "not equal" conditions not available in rules

I have a start d/t and an end d/t fields on my NWC form. I would like to show a message to the user if their end date is = or < the start time. “is not” , “not equal”, or “equal” conditions are not available when comparing d/t fields in this version for forms. That seems odd to me Nintex wouldn’t make those options available.  The only way I can think of is to convert the d/t fields to strings in a variable. There are many more conditions available when comparing text strings. My VAR’s are setup the same  Just so I can see if the VAR’s are correctly populated, I’m displaying the values in the fields immediately below the d/t fields, for demo. But it’s not converting the strings in the same format. If they are not in the same format, I can’t compare them in rules.   Both of the fields are configured the exact same way in the Form and in Sharepoint

Content of an Excel file in a choice single drop down list

I would like to use an Excel file containing a list of products in a data lookup control to select the part.I know how to do it from an Microsoft List.To avoid having to manually convert my Excel file into a Microsoft list, can I do it directly from an Excel file that is in my SharePoint online?orCan I automate the upload of the content of the Excel file into a microsoft list or into a table?

LakeTree Dynamic Grid plugin isn't working

Hello!I've been working with Laketree Dynamic Grid for a few months, and it has been working well both functionally and visually. Why does the Send Email action reformat my tables?

I’m migrating workflows to the Automation Cloud, and no matter if I build the table in HTML or the WYSIWIG editor, Nintex constantly messes with the formatting.  It will move whole rows to the top of the table.  The screen shot below is how the table in the email should look.But if I have to go back into the workflow to make an edit for any reason - not even to the Send Email action this happens:The divider rows get converted to header rows - even if I toggle that setting off or call it out as <td> instead of <th> - and then get moved to the top.This defeats their purpose, which is to break up and organize the data.It makes quick edits painstaking.  I don’t need a “smart” editor that actually gets it wrong every time it tries to override my actions.If someone from Nintex could PLEASE tell me how to get around this or give us the option to shut it off, I’d be most appreciative. I build for 10+ teams and own waaay too many workflows for troubleshooting to be this time-consumi

PLEASE go vote for added security around the "Request publish" feature in NAC

We’d like to ask everyone in the community to please go vote for the following idea:Workflow Production Publishing & Default Assigned Use | Nintex Ideas Our company is struggling with security and restricting users from publishing their own personal workflows in NAC. We continue to have issues even though we built a separate process around the OOB “Publish Request” component that comes with NAC.Currently, the only way we are able to allow users to publish workflows in NAC if they are not an admin (while still limiting this to not all developers/designers) is putting them in a group: By doing this however, our headache is how the system is designed. When a user not in this group who does not have rights to publish on their own pushes the “Request publish” button when a workflow is set to production the system will auto assign the group specified in these settings as the “workflow owner” as well over the workflow. Because of this, all the users we gave permissions to publish, now hav

How to merge multiple attachments with DocGen

My NWC solution starts with a form that has 3 file upload controls.I need to get each file uploaded and using DocGen combine them for use with AdobeSign. I would love to go straight to DocGen, but I realize I may have to save them to the SP Item first. However, my current hickup is that I can't wrap my head around getting them back from the SP Item, into a collection, and then getting each one from the collection into a DocGen action for use.

Task Form - Escalation Section - Autocomplete function

Does anyone know what the autocomplete option in the escalation section of a task form does? Does it autocomplete the task to move the workflow forward, if the assigned person doesnt complete it?
