Nintex Workflow

Hi, I have a question on getting two workflows to work together to get a notification email out to a customer.  The first workflow is where I’ve built a form inside the workflow.  It works as expected and upon submission creates a new record in the list.  Because the form is built inside the workflow and I don’t get the ID until the workflow ends preventing being able to reference that specific record ID in a notification email that was created in that first workflow.  What I decided to do is have created a second workflow that runs when it sees a new record on that list and in this second workflow, I get the ID as expected as the new record ID is seen then on the list   I need the ID so I can send in a notification email in this second workflow a link to that record customers can just click onto to get to that newly submitted record read only.  The Second workflow starts as expected and in instance ‘steps’ I can see the ID as expected but this second workflow appears to hang

Hi all   I am new to nintex workflow cloud. I would like to use values from a specific google sheet to populate a dropdown.  I use the data lookup control but when using google sheet connector I can only look up the list of sheets in the google drive rather than the content inside the sheets.   Is there any way I can achieve this?   Thanks.

Got a call from a user that there were a bunch of issues with some workflows. Turns out that the access token used in one of the connections in the workflow had expired and needed to re-authenticate. OK --- Easy fix to re-authenticate and get the workflows to start working again. BUTHaving workflows fail for this reason is NOT acceptable. I’m looking for a solution to be proactively notified BEFORE a workflow failure happens that a connection has an expired token. This way I can assume 100% uptime in my workflow by renewing the access token BEFORE there is a workflow failure.The connections screen in NWC only shows the date the connection was created. No where is the expiration date documented. So how is a Nintex admin to know when these things expire?Currently the only solution is to wait for a failure (and some angry customers) and then reactively address it by re-authenticating.This seems like a huge design flaw in this product tha

Anyone else having issues with SharePoint Online actions this morning? We’ve had workflows in place for years that are suddenly failing this morning with SharePoint Online actions. No changes to authentication, and the lists/files that the actions are supposed to pull are still there.  The the “Query A List” action, I can create a new action, successfully retrieve a set of lists in our SharePoint Online, but I’m unable to define any fields in that list to sort or filter by.  So it’s at least partially working, which would tell me it’s probably not an authentication issue.  I’ve made a case with support, but I’m just trying to get a feel for if anyone else is having problems.  Thanks!

I am trying to go through and making an inventory list via sharepoint. The main key part that I am missing is that the user will put the name of the product in a form and range of numbers and I need to the product to separate into each individual lines into a sharepoint list. So for example product name: Purse, Quantity: 50. Start number: 1 End number 50 Sharepoint list will look like this: Purse #1, Purse #2, Purse #3 through Purse #50.  

Hi Nintex Community,I’m working on a workflow in Nintex Automation Cloud that starts with an item creation in a SharePoint list and involves an approval process. Our goal is for the assigned approver to engage in discussions with the team (in CC) before making a decision. Ideally, the approver would use the initial email to access the Task Form, participate in discussions, and then return to the first email to approve or reject the task.Currently, I’m avoiding sending the usual task approval email by leaving the Assigned Task email blank in the Assign a Task to Multiple Users action. Instead, I'm attempting to include the Task Form URL in a Send an Email action for initial communication. However, I haven’t been able to successfully pass the Task Form URL to the email.Has anyone successfully implemented this, or is there an alternative approach to achieve this functionality? I have a Start Form and the first few fields are “First Name”, “Last Name”, “Email” and “Phone Number”. Once these are entered, I basically want a timer to start and if the user hasn’t submitted the form within 2 hours, I want to send an email reminder to them to complete it. After that, I’d also want to trigger another one after 30 days. Is there a way to accomplish this without the user ever actually submitting the start form?

Hi all, We’ve used AI to translate forms into other languages since Nov 2023.  It has been a game changer for organisations that have a wide community of users.  However, what happens if the person submits their answers in another language?  Well, that’s very easy using our new AI language actions. First we want to detect what language they were using and we have two options for that.  We could see which language they translated their form into by accessing either of the form variables Language name or Language code. That makes the assumption they switched their form to a different language and also answered in that language which might not always be the case.  Maybe they switched their form to French but still answered in English. So the more robust way of checking is to interrogate one of th

In a NWC Workflow, I am using the "Get members of a SharePoint group" action.My selected Connection is a "SharePoint Online: List and libraries connection" and I am a site collection administrator and member of the owner group of the chosen site. The connection has been established with the same user.If I click on "Retrieve groups", I get an 403  What could cause such an permission issue?

Hi,I have many questions:I have a workflow whose start event is currently set to "SharePoint – New or updated list item." I want to change this workflow so that the start event becomes a "Scheduled start." I feel like I cannot change the start event of an existing workflow and that I need to create a new workflow. Is that correct? If so, is there a way to copy the other actions from my old workflow into the new one?My current workflow updates a Microsoft list based on an Excel file saved in a SharePoint folder. Users have requested that the list not be updated automatically because I erase and reload the list, which impacts other workflows with forms that use this list as a data lookup. If I switch my workflow to use a "Scheduled start," is there a way to have it run only if a user has uploaded a new file that day, like for exaple: having a condition that the Modified date of the file was updated since the last run? Hello!Is it possible to conditionally enable or disable the "Assignee authentication" toggle in the Assign a task action based on a condition? For example, if the email belongs to a Teammate (internal user) it stays on, but if it’s an External Manager, it turns off? Or, how can I handle the error that occurs when the task is assigned to someone who is not in the tenant’s user list? The action fails when the user is not found.I know the solution to avoid assignment errors with external users is to disable authentication, since they are not part of the tenant. However, I need all users submitting forms to be able to use the save button, and when authentication is disabled, the form doesn't save any data. 

I created a workflow in Nintex  cloud with a form start event. The form contains one attachment section but if any files are attached the form will not submit with the message “File Upload filed.” The sample file I am using as an attachment is a 9 Bytes text file.Is there some setting I need to enable to allow files to be attached?

Use Case: We have multiple office locations worldwide, and these locations are available as a drop-down selection in the Choice Single form control across various forms. To add an office location, we must edit all forms that contain the office location form control. Can I utilize the table function within NAC to save time by making a single change to a table instead of multiple forms associated with the Choice Single form control?Can you provide an example? 

My NWC solution starts with a form that has 3 file upload controls.I need to get each file uploaded and using DocGen combine them for use with AdobeSign. I would love to go straight to DocGen, but I realize I may have to save them to the SP Item first. However, my current hickup is that I can't wrap my head around getting them back from the SP Item, into a collection, and then getting each one from the collection into a DocGen action for use. 

Hello, Is it possible to grant access to distribution groups here  not the groups created here but directly to a distribution list or group from Microsoft 365?

I have a repeating table in my form and a HTML table. Currently after the user updates the repeating table, the user needs to submit first so I can process it to extract the values to rebuild the HTML table. I resend the same task back to the user with the HTML table updated with the new values. Is there another way to update the HTML table without needing to submit the form? 

Hi everyoneI have a SharePoint column which is created as currency with two decimal places.When I use this column in a Nintex Workflow Cloud workflow, the value returned only has one decimal place instead of two. How do I add another decimal to the number.Example: “Cost” created as currency in SharePoint OnlineThe output of “Cost” should look something like R200.00, but in e-mails from Nintex the output from “Cost” is R200.0. How do I add the extra zero so that is displays with two decimal places?Thanks

Hello, I have a O365 responsive form I am using alongside NAC and in my workflow I have 5 approval tasks which send 5 tasks out. In my workflow I have the ‘wait for event in list item’ action waiting for fields to update in my form as each task is approved. So when all tasks are approved and fields updated it stays on  the ‘wait for event in list item’ action and doesn’t proceed...I’ve been fighting this for 2 weeks now and can’t get this to work.Your help is greatly appreciated! 

Hi there, I have a workflow that we have migrated from On Prem to 365, where we had an action to create a document in a document library from a SharePoint List Workflow. With the create an Item action not supporting creating a black document in a a Document library and only a List, what is the best method of doing so now?
