For MS Exchange Online Start > Received email: is there no way to get attachments?

For the flow trigger event: MS Exchange Online > Received email, there appears to be no collection variable or way to get attachments from the email.

This seems like a massive gap, so much so that I’m wondering if I’ve missed something? I would have thought this would be 90% of the use case for this start event.

If anyone can highlight to me what I’ve missed, or how to do this I would appreciate it.

@Bards we are actually in the process of making an enhancement on this topic and should have an update within the next two weeks.  Stay tuned!

@Bards This is included in the latest release that went out today. You’ll see two new actions: one that retrieves attachment metadata, which gives you the attachment ID and other details, and another that retrieves the attachment itself.

Hello guys! we tried those new features, they work, but without simple actions with email like:

  • mark as read
  • delete
  • move to
  • read emails from the folder, etc.

it is still not reliable tool and we must use other technologies for our automations((

Do you have some plans and timeline when you add such simple Actions to Exchange Online section in Nintex?

it would be great to have all of this

@romanb Thanks for your feedback. I would suggest raising an idea on the portal(https://ideas.nintex.com/) for this to help track interest in this enhancement request.

Dear @leighburke , don’t you have this in your plans?
I’m sure that I’m not the first one who requested this.

i think Nintex Online should have at least the same functionality which was in Nintex Workflows On-premise. And these are basic functions to work with Outlook/Exchange Online, which are presented in Power Automate, UiPath and other technologies but not in Nintex Cloud and we are waiting for them for more than 1.5 years.

@romanb Unfortunately these actions aren’t currently scheduled for Nintex Workflow, and I couldn’t find any existing enhancement requests for them.

The screenshot looks like it’s from Nintex RPA LE, not SharePoint On‑Prem. I want to make sure I understand the request. Are you looking for Nintex Workflow to support similar email actions to what RPA provides?

If you’d like, I can create the idea or help with next steps.
