Using the Asana 'Create a Task' action, I cannot create a task without first selecting an existing project out of the Projects list. The Projects list is not required, but will fail if not selected. My goal is to create a project and add a task to it. Any thoughts on how this can be done in Nintex?

Here is the error. It's the same whether or not I use variables.

Here’s the configuration:

@LukeR Please see help doc on “Create a Project” action in Asana first prior to assigning a task to the project.

@Sasan I’ve went through the process of creating a project first, but once I go to ‘Create a Task’, there is no option to use a variable to specify the project. Should there be? Are you saying that you can assign a task to a newly created project? All I get is a drop down where I have to select a project that exists before design time.

Found an Asana post that “could” be related to the issue that you are running into.

https://forum.asana.com/t/change-get-projects-get-users-and-get-tags-will-require-a-workspace-or-team/1031581

We tested and created a service user, where it is just in a single workspace and it worked to pull all projects.

I’m not sure that post is related since it’s only refers to the workspace/team being included. We already include it (and can see the error stating it is required if it’s not included). Our issue is with the project. The nintex ‘Create a task’ does not provide a way to dynamically specify the project. All that is provided is a dropdown of existing projects.
