Hi

I have a data lookup in a repeating section which pulls data from salesforce. Each option selected from the lookup  creates a new row. So if there are 5 options in the dropdown list, there should be 5 rows. I am unable to make the rows to auto populate the info as this is a repeating section in a repeating section. The outer repeating section auto populates information dynamically.

To avoid human errors, with the user either selecting the same option twice and consequently not selecting all the options, are there any recommendations to either highlight duplicates, highlight unselected options, have an option disappear from the dropdown list once selected (I appreciate this option may not be possible as the list is data pulled from an external source).  Thank you

Regards

Sunita

hi @Sunita

Is it possible to share the workflow please so we can reproduce and identify a solution?

Thanks for sharing the workflow key. I had a quick look and I am not able to identify anything from high level. Wondering if you are available for a quick call and I can bring an expert with me? Perhaps you can send me your email address through the private message function along with your free times and I can book in a meeting to disucss further?

thanks @Sunita ,

I am summarising the two options as following based on the discusion yesterday-

  • To avoid the error of selecting the options multiple times, you can replace the dropdown single select field to multiple choice field. This will ensure that the option doesn’t get selected more than once. However this will require rearranging of the form fields which which currently are populated based on the single choice field selection.
  • To auto-pouplate the nested repeating section, please set data variables so the data can be auto populated to the repeating section. You can find more information about it in our help page.
