Hello, I'm facing an issue when trying to execute a web service smartobject call from tester utility.when i execute the smartobject, sometimes it gives me the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" and a minute later i execute it and it retunr it execuetes normally without errors. I cheked the host server logs and i found this: "150540358","20*personal details removed*:00:44","Error","SmartObjects","10702","Error","SourceCode.SmartObjects.ServiceBroker [ExecuteSmartObject]","10702 An error occurred in the BusinessWebService Service Instance. I am getting the error (below) sporadically when using the exchange mailbox service broker.  It generally tends to resolve itself in anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes...the longest has been like an hour.  K2 service account has full permissions to the affected mailbox...and ultimately this has always fixed itself without any intervention...just cuts into production. Anyway, I've googled the error, and didn't get an understandable explanation.  Anyone have any idea what causes it, and even better, how to QUICKLY resolve it without having to just wait it out?   Thanks, Rob

  Turns out refreshing the service instance in the tester show: SmartObject Server Exception: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation of the server is not responding. Source: SourceCode.SmartOjbects.Management  

When upgrading from 4.6.11 to 4.7 on a Windows 2012 R2 server, we are stuck with the following error: "Insuffient license type. Server does not have Smartforms Designer license". We haven't needed any other license than the regular Blackpearl one until now. Anyone has any ideas?

i drag k2 worklist webpart on sharepoint 2010 site page, the page shows the all the worklist items, but suddenly after few days when i click on page on which worklist webpart was dragged is not opened and it continuously loading webpage. I check K2 black pearl service it was already in running state, i access the workspace i was accessible and i can view the instances from there.when i restart the k2 black service , page suddenly opened for 15 to 30 seconds, after 30 seconds the page again continuosly going in loading state although k2 black pearl service is started. your kind responses will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have exposed all smartobject on my k2 server as APIs. But when I call one of the exposed URLs through a browser, I get an error (Service:  Endpoint not found) 

Hello All I'm a UX designer and am fairly new to K2. I've not seen a forum for UX issues so hope it's OK to post here. I'm getting user feedback about the functionality of the People Picker control. I wondered if anyone else has has similar feedback and what you've done about it. The problem is that users expect it to behave like a combo box (they expect to start typing a person's name and for a dropdown list to appear.) They don't instictively know what the 'Resolve' icon does, so when the dropdown list that they're expecting doesn't appear, they click on 'Resolve', then they get an error message that they don't understand. Maybe we should be using a different control (autocomplete) but not sure it would work with an Active Directory of 2000? I would like to hear of others' user feedback - or let me know if there is a separate UX board! Thanks in advance Claire

Hi, We have a K2 server which has page file configured to C: as system managed. We want to move the page file path from C: to another drive. I have gone through required permission page of K2 Five user guide, but I dint see any dependency mention about page file. Need your advice, will it be any impact/issue in the service if we change the page file location?  Do we have to add any folder permission to our K2 app pool or service accounts? What is the recommended way of doing the same? Thanks!    

Hello, I'm very new to K2 - I've searched the forums (and the help files) maybe I'm just missing this?  I have a SharePoint document library which I've added as a smart object - I simply want to be able to upload a file to it from within a K2 form - when I try it, it tells me that SmartObject property Document is a required property (but I don't see anyplace in outputs or inputs for this particular property) - thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, I have an autocomplete which is connected to an AD Group to populate it with User Names, the chosen User is then emailed (via a AD User getuserdetails method on the chosen autocomplete user) When a person starts typing, the matching users appear and the user is able to select one (in the autocomplete)However, once selected, the user can easily delete a few characters from the selection, which would mean a non-genuine user is selected and messes up my workflow, i.e. no genuine destination to send the email to. Any way round this? I know the autocomplete has to be editable (i.e. the user may want to select someone else, but how can i ensure it is a genuine selection only from the autocomplete?   

Hello, We are using K2 blackpearl for Sharepoint app for creating an application. I created a content type in shrepoint and used app to create smartobjects and forms. Apllication created a lot of smartobejects with methods, views and forms. I am creating new views according to our need and use these views on forms.Since I am not using all of the smartobject and views created by K2 blackpearl for Sharepoint app. Can I delete those smartobjects and views? Will it have any impact on form? My concern is all the unneeded views and smartobject with method will increase form loading time. Thanks!!Mohini

I am facing an issue in K2 that after some time k2 dont work and its dashboard   looks like hanged after restarting the service in k2 it starts working but after some time it stops works its a contnoius issue i am facing  i am attaching snapshoot for your reference please let me know what would be the resolution 

After package a Form wiht Workflow in 4.6.11... then trying to deploy in a server with 4.7 it crashed the k2 Black Pearl Server and did not complete the deployment failed on the workflow. I wonder if the issue is the permissions on the Workflow Server desitnation 4.7 that probably needs the service account from 4.6.11 Anybody have some suggestions ?

Hi, Where (using the context browser) do i get the Decision made in a Client Activity? I have a client activity with 3 outcomes (Yes, No, Maybe) Where is that Outcome stored, so that i can use that to do a SAVE Smartobject Method with? Using K2 Studio workflow. Also, is it possible to get this result from a Smartform as well? Say after it has performed the Worklist Action? Thanks

Hi, If i have 4 different autocomplete controls using the same Smartobject, do i have to populate the data 4 times when the form is initializing? The form is super slow loading due to 4x population, is there a way to make that faster, but have the autocompletes ready with loaded data on startup? Thanks

Hello, This is probably going to be a pretty simple answer for the seasoned members of the board, I did search but after reading through a few posts didn't find what I was looking for.There's no averageif function for OpenOffice, but is there something similar? .For some reason using the normal average function doesn't work for me. I input the data into colums k2 to k31. If I put them all as ones, the average for some reason comes out as 1.9.Any reason for this? .Any tips and Case study example would be greatly appreciated.Please help me out. Any help will be appreciated.Thank you.

Hi, Trying to lock down a form so that only Domain Users can access it. I have a Smartobject method on the AD User SMO, but the result is empty if i enter a userid in name. I tried it from the Tester Tool, but if i set the Filter to Name = UserID, the result is blank.If i take the filter out, it eventually displays all the users in the results, including the one i am wanting to filter on. Obviously the Domain Users is huge, but that shouldn't prevent this from working, especially if i'm using a filter to speed up the process.... This works ok with other groups where this user is a member, just not the Domain users group Any ideas?

I have a calender control that I want to use for filtering a list, however all attempts result in no results being shown. I have double checked and made sure the list control and calender are using the same date formats.   Is there some sort of known work around for getting lists to filter by date?

Greetings.  We have a solution that is built using multiple data sources.  We use a SharePoint 2016 (on-prem) library for storing document attachments.  The majority of the solution is SQL and Oracle.  We registered the site collection via the K2 for SharePoint app from the web app's app catalog.  Doing that basically creates and configurs an instance of the 'SharePoint 2013' service broker.  We did not 'appify' any lists or libraries by going through the ribbon to generate objects.  We have a standard SmartObject in a different category that was configured to integrate with one of the service methods that was automatically generated in the SharePoint service instance.  This is basically like adding a new method to an existing SmartObject that calls a SQL service method, AD, or anything else for that matter.   The problem is this:  We cannot package this SmartObject because it throws a 'ListSetting' not found error in P&D.  I understand that SharePoint-based artifacts should be pac
