Nintex RPA Developer Learning Path

Hello there, I am just getting started several certification path, Nintex RPA Developer being the first of them. During the first videos I got the feeling that that servers are cloud based, however, after installing Nintex RPA Studio 23.11.1.7 I get the same error each time I try to open it, “Cannot access Nintex Servers”. What am I missing? Do I need to install my own server service? The information regarding these setups is very sparse. My username is Kraftwerk87 (vrc@nextret.net) Could I get access to the community and maybe an advice or two about how to tackle these issues and the mentioned Learning Path? Thanks in advance.

Migrating from Nintex RPA LE to Nintex RPA - Fiserv user

I am a long time user of Nintex RPA LE (Foxtrot) who is looking for other users who are migrating to Nintex RPA that are also users of Fiserv Premier (Navigator). I have recently had some success figuring out how to handle some of Fiserv’s nuances with the help of Professional Services, but I would love to have a Fiserv peer or peers to discuss some best practices.One thing I’m struggling with is if you are working a list from Excel, and you run into an error after you have already completed several items using the loop, how do you restart where you left off? One way I’m planning to incorporate is to have all the data in a SQL table, pull in the first item available in a “Ready” status, immediately mark it as “In Process”, and then mark it as “Complete” once the process is complete. The next time through will get the next item available in “Ready” status as the prior one is now marked as “Complete”. Get a file from Sharepoint and upload using a Call web service

Hi, I am trying to upload a file using REST API. I have used the “Get a file” action to fetch the file from Sharepoint Online. My next action is Integration - Call a web service to upload the file. Usually for web request, I would have inserted the file inside the request content/body. However, Nintex is not allowing to add the file which I saved as a variable in the request content.Any idea how I can include the file in the web request please. Get a file save the output in a variable names varObjOutputFile2 with type File. I am trying to insert the File on the request content but it’s not allowing me to do that.

Odd Global Variable Behavior

Hello,I’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding how Global Variables work, or if this is a bug. Yesterday I setup a wizard to use the Set Global Variable command to create a global variable (Odd that there’s not an interface to work with global variables outside of a wizard). Then, I changed that action to a Get Global Variable action, and was able to successfully retrieve that variables value and use it in a Wizard. Today, If I use the Get Global Variable action, the global variable I created yesterday is no longer an option to choose from. I assumed that Global Variables were essentially permanent, but It seems like it was deleted at some point. Does anyone know if this is how Global Variables are supposed to work?Thank you!

What is the best way to iterate through a data file (CSV)?

We’re still in the process of migrating from Nintex RPA LE to Nintex RPA, and one of the features we’re severely missing is how easy RPA LE handled the import of data. With RPA LE, you could have it import a data file (like a CSV), and it would automatically populate a “Data” section with all of the available headers in the file. You could then loop through that data, and easily reference a property from the current iteration. With Nintex RPA, this process seems MUCH more cumbersome. It seems like you need to import the file as text into a variable, then iterate through that variable with a specified row delimiter. To pull out a specific property of the current row, you need to get that index of the needed column using a column delimiter, and hope the layout of the file doesn’t change. I know that I could set it up at the beginning of the loop to pull out each index of the row into a named property - it’s just a lot of work that we didn’t have to do with the legacy product. Set Details of a target to a variable

Is there a way to set the Details, specifically the Element ID of a target to a variable.For example, we have a webform where the Element IDs often change because of text in the Header that comes before the first form field. If we could capture the first ID, we could target using a variable that increments from there to target the rest of the form dynamically. Get info only provides the URL.

Help creating a cron expression

Hi!I am playing about with custom time triggers, and I have read the "A Guide to Cron Expressions” webpage linked in both the console and nintex help pages. I have created a cron expression, but I keep getting nothing in the schedule... any tips on where I have gone wrong? I want the bot to run every 15 minutes between 2am to 4am every day.. pics of expression and then empty schedule below...When I use a cron expression editor to double check it says I am using special characters that may not be recognised by everything, but I thought I had followed the linked guide - it’s not working though..Any help would be appreciated!

Kryon version 19.1 is not available for download.

My client intends to upgrade to the latest version of RPA from Kryon version 19.1. To minimize potential issues in the production environment, I aim to set up a test environment using version 19.1 and proceed with the upgrade there first. Extract a word from comma separated combination.

I have a user's forename and surname in the combination ‘Surname, Forename’ and I’d like to:Reverse this combination to ‘Forename Surname’ while removing the comma. Extract just the Forename.I’ve tried some regular expressions found in searching online but these either return an empty value or ‘false’. I have no previous experience in regular expressions. Any ideas?Thank you.

Extract UI table text returning no values

When using ‘Extract UI table text’ object, it is not returning any values even though I have a ‘Does UI object exist’ object before it which returns a value of true.HTML and Java mode both do not work with the web application I am using so unable to use another method of pulling data from the table. Has anyone come across this before and could offer any advice?
