Hello, I ran into this error while creating sql service instance: "validation a connection was established with server, but could not connect to the database supplied or database could not be found".The server and database information passed to it is correct but still cannot connect to any database on the specified server. How do i resolve this. Thanks

Hi, I'm getting the following error on packaging a K2 Studio workflow:  The workflow is started with a SmartForms Integration Wizard. So, only when the workflow gets linked to the smartform, it does not package.  Has anyone had this issue before? 

Hi, I have created a workflow in K2 studio. Workflow has 6 levels of approval. In my smart form, I need to capture the logged in user name and approval date for each approval level (see the loggedInUserNameDate attachment ). In loggedInUserNameDate attachment, Employee Manager and IT (Director/CTO/ or...) should pick the logged in user name and Approval date. For this I created views in designer. In views I used data label control for user name and approval Date. In Edit form for each workflow activity I am putting rule to show display name and current date if control does not contain any value (see the editFormRuleExample attachment) else put the values from smartobject. But Form is not able to capture logged in user name and Approval Date.Any suggestions how can this be done? Thanks,Mohini

Hi all, I have a form with a List view which displays the members of an AD group - this works fine. I want to save the membership list into a K2 smartobject, anyone know the quickest way to do this? Is there a way of saving all items in the list to a Smartobject? Should i create a manual Smartobject with the fields i need and do a SAVE on the list or is there a quicker way? Thanks

Hi, We have installed Management Site and noticed that Management Console is not available on the Workspace despite being setup as admin via Management Site. Is this a default behaviour? Thanks

We purchased K2 three years back and our vendor was responsible for this, now we need to setup all enviroment here in our own office, I'd like to know from where we can get setup for insalltion, and do we need to provide machine name as well.

I found out that for any User activity, events that occurs before the “Default Client Event” itself, the event is executed multiple times.For example in a User activity “MyActivity”, we have a MailEvent that occurred before the “Default Client Event”  My Activity.MailEvent is executed multiple times.This issue doesn't occur in a Server activity.Do you know why ? And, is there a way so that these events only get executed once ?Thank you.

Can someone compare for me  bullet point diffrence  between  the two  K2 4.7 and K2 4.6.11

Hopefully this is an easy one... I have an expression that is generating text to put in a datalabel.  It includes a number that I want to display in the format: 999,999,999.99 I assume I use the Format Number function, but have no idea what to put in the second parameter. Hope you can help. Thanks  Matt

Hello Folks,  I' have a process that goes like this: Build server takes the  latest version of workflow from repository, creates deploument packages and deploy it to a terget server. I've performed the followings for an upgrade to 4.7:I have upgraded the workflow after upgrading k2 version from 4.6.11 to 4.7. Checked in the workflows in the repositoy.Updated the target test environment k2 version to 4.7. When the build server tries to create deployment packages for the terget test server, it get an  : Error - Invalid archive type What might cause this? The  build server has a older version of k2 (4.6 / 4.12060.1560.0) and .net version 4.6.   But its working fine if the terget test server has other version of k2 like 4.6.9 or 4.6.11So it doesn't seems like its a problem caused by the missmatch in k2 version. One thing is that now we need .net framework version 4.6.1 to run

Hello all,I seem to be struggling to write a Multi-value property into an Email event. When attempts to execute the activity it errors with:"The specified string is not in the form required for an e-mail address." Is there a method of writing the contents of a Multivalue smartobject field into an email event? 

Hi all,    I'm currently developing K2 processes using K2 (4.7) for Visual Studio with VS2015 on Windows 8.1.But I can't seem to be able to add a web service reference...I click the "Process References" button, click "Add", and the I go to the "Web" tab, insert the web service URL , and click discover.I promptly get a "Web service discovered successfully. Press 'select' to add as a reference" response. But when I click "Select" nothing happens...          I already uninstalled/installed again K2 4.7 client tools and VS2015 without a change of behavior...     Any ideas to what it might be or what can I do to debug this behavior?     PS:

I am unable to edit a view. The view fuctions and data gets retrieved into as per the rules specified on the form, but I am unable to edit it. It hangs on a spinner in the View Desinger > Introduction Layout. Any thoughts on how to get past this without starting over?  

I have to prepare several workflows (SmartForms, Views and SmartObjects as well) based on the same "template". These are for a customer which has several subsidiaries, with some local specifics. In the future more specifics are expected.There is the only K2 server and the only SharePoint server. The workflows and related K2 objects are managed/executed by the same K2 server, each workflow will operate on the different data (separated SmartObjects connected to the separate service instances connected to the ShP lists in separate web-collections). The structure of the ShP lists is the same, at least at the moment. I have supposed to create, test and deploy "pilot" K2 solution (i.e., a set of K2 objects like Workflow_01, ServiceInstance_01, SmartObject_01, View_01 and SmartForm_01) and then to SaveAs all of the pilot objects. Hello, I have some business requirements to be able to hover over individual items in a drop down list and be able to see more useful information in the tooltip.Currently, when you hover over items it will repeat what the item text is e.g a "Business" item would have Business in the tooltip. Hi, I still have a ticket with K2 regarding SMTP, and v4.7 not working... but I wanted you guys why when a User is logged in and authenticated, that an email action in a form rule cannot be sent? In the From field i'm using a Text box with the actual logged in Users own email placed it in from a Getuserdetails AD smartobject. Can the emails only be sent by K2 service account via this Rule or by users (WHEN they are logged in themselves). Other than having to add each user, is there a setting to allow the users own email be used to send the email? - WITHOUT USING a WORKFLOW Thanks

I'm looking to add a clickable image control (to show the Question16.png icon image) to each row of a list view. On click, I want to use a rule to open a sub form and have that rule pull some data from the row its on and feed it into the parameters of the sub-form. I've tried to use the picture control. But that does not show up on list view rows. I've tried a data label control, but that does not have a click event, only a changed event. Further more, the "click" event is for the entire row.. Which I'm using for some check box functionality. So I need to somehow override the full row click on this column so this control will react to its own click and not activate the row level click. If I were to use a data label with literal information, what do I do to manually open a sub-form in a modal dialog? I don't need to pass any information back to the main form.. (at least this time). 

Hi All. I am new to K2 so still in learning mode, so bear with me. I am building an application that stores an Image File to a SQL Server table. It works fine in terms of viewing in K2 and storing in the table. I am trying to write a process on the database side that creates an image file to the O/S. I have used both BCP method as well as sp_OACreate 'ADODB.Stream' to generate the file, which it does but the image is not readable. When I look at the data, I notice what appears to be xml tags at the beginning of the record so I am figuring that is part of my problem. I tried removing the tags but to no avail. Has anyone dealt with this before and can provide me with some guidance? Thanks,Steve  

Hi, I have an AD account name called user1 and domain is test.com. Email address that i configured in AD is email1@test.com. However when task is assigned via workflow, task is successfully assigned to user1 and listed in work list. however email notification couldn't be received. After checking, k2 sent the email to user1@test.com. I have another account user2 and email is user2@test.com. The account received the notification after task assignment.  May I know how K2 retrieve the email address from the AD user account. If account name and email address are different, k2 send the email to accountname@test.com. But it doesn't send to email address that is configured in AD.  When I ran "Get User Detail" method under UMUser smartobject using SmartObjectTester tool for user1, email address is user1@test.com. When i ran "Get Users", email address is email1@test.com. Seem like workflow get the email address from "Get User Detail" method but it is
