Nintex Mobile 4.3 was released to platform stores a couple of days ago, and of about 5 minutes ago was live in the Android Play store and Windows store, so Apple store shouldn't to far behind. So what does the 4.3 release have for us ?Added support to keep a history of your sent forms and task through the new Sent area. You can easily customize the how long your sent items are retained via settings. Added support to quickly and easily re-send a form. Simply open the form from the new Sent area, tap the copy button, make any required changes then submit the form. Added support to display colored tags to your forms and tasks to easily identify the account they belong to. General improvements and bug fixes. In this post I'm going to focus on the first 2 dot points. The "Sent" box concept is nothing new, most email clients have been doing it for years, so by popular demand we have brought it to Nintex Mobile but with a little spice.. Firstly lets submit a form and navigate to the "Sent" fol

If you are about to switch to daylight saving time (DST), we recommend that you perform these four simple actions to ensure that the Nintex Console initiates time-based triggers appropriately. If you have time-based triggers, follow these steps:Before switching to DST, disable time-based triggers. After switching to DST, restart the environment on which the robot is set to run. When the restart process is complete, check that the time is set correctly. Save and activate the trigger. Thank you,Your Nintex Product Team

The final conversion of legacy variations is approaching. On December 1st, 2022, we will start converting all remaining legacy variations to shared activity variations. Prior to this date, you will still be able to convert your variations manually. See our previous post about shared activity variations here. There are several great improvements with the new shared activity functionality, however there are a few changes that you need to be aware of. What happens when a variation is converted? The Standard process will become a 'normal' variation - this means that normal users will be able to view it like any other published process. The version will increase by 0.1. For example, a process with version 5.0 will be 5.1 after conversion. Any process in an 'Awaiting/Pending approval' state will return to the 'In Progress' state. Where possible, shared activities will be created if this condition is met: Activity title and tasks must be the same. If this condition is not met, they will be ind
Hi, Everyone,As you know, we recently released our latest versions of RPA Central and Bot. The biggest update includes using OAuth when creating email connections to Gmail and Microsoft Exchange. As you may be aware, both Google and Microsoft have either turned off all Basic auth or are going to by the end of the year.Email connections that use Basic auth today will stop functioning soon. Google allows you to use an App password and I believe Microsoft does in some cases as well, but they both want everyone to use OAuth as it is more secure. This also means that older versions of Bot, basically any version before 17.10.x, will not be updated to allow OAuth for these email connections. If you need this level of functionality, you’ll have to upgrade to the latest version of Bot that requires RPA Central as well. Please reach out to your Nintex Salesperson for details on how to do this. Thanks,Mike
Unfortunately, currently, there is no Nintex out of the box way to make the Form download locally on MS Edge besides using the following hack, that one of our users brought to us. Create a label on your form and add the following link as a hyperlink:: https://company.sharepoint.com/siteName/_layouts/download.aspx?SourceUrl= Replace “company” with your own company name and “siteName” with the site path. For example https://gamero365.sharepoint.com/myGames/_layouts/download.aspx?SourceUrl= The source URL should be the direct link to the attachment. The full URL will look this: https://company.sharepoint.com/siteName/_layouts/download.aspx?SourceUrl=https://gamero365.sharepoint.com/myGames/AttachedDoc.docx In any browser, the file will be downloaded, even in Edge. Please note that the use of the provided workaround does not guarantee that Nintex will support it if anything breaks while using it.
Do you find that address information provided by your participants are sub-optimal and causes downstream workflow issues? Do you find yourself adding multiple fields to capture a single address? The latest Address control on Nintex Workflow Cloud Forms would be able to solve these problems. Address control would make it easier to get accurate addresses. The form filler would only have to fill in one address field thus making the form filling experience quicker. Let’s look at the new Address Control in action! On a form with an Address Control, the Form filler can start typing in the address which then provides them with suggestions matching their data entry. The can then select the address that matches their search. The Address control setting can be found in the Control toolbox on the Form Designer. It requires a Google Maps API key to be entered on the Settings Tab. The information from the Address Control is sent back to workflow as an Object which has the following properties, mo

Nintex is committed to bring latest and greatest features in all our offerings. This post describes a latest feature of adding CSS to the forms that is recently shipped out for forms in Automation Cloud which was much awaited by many of you, and we call it – Advanced Styles. I personally am a huge fan of responsive forms, one can very well create neat, simple yet elegant forms using Nintex responsive forms. But at times to match the branding guidelines of an organization or to make it more user friendly there is a need to add colorful attributes and that is what we intend to achieve with our latest feature.CSS will help our customers in Automation Cloud in the following ways:Branding: Corporate customers want to align forms to their brand. Before we begin please ensure you have followed and understood the basics of enabling CSS for your Nintex automation cloud forms here After you have enabled CSS in the global forms settings, If you want to open a workflow with a form you want to use and navigate to the styles tab, I will be using an example form I use for CSS testing. You will now see that there is a new section at the bottom of styles named 'Advanced styles' please enable this here also. There are 2 ways we can add the css for RTL support, either by an external link and embed CSS. If you wish to maintain your own CSS code please feel free to branch off or copy mine, you can then choose to host it or use the embed CSS. For this demonstration I will be using my GitHub page for CSS. https://jsdenintex.github.io/src/css/nwcRTL.css Entering the above link into the external CSS will enable right to left visuals on the Nintex forms. See below a before and after comparison. Before: After: Please noteThis is not official s
The content team is hard at work publishing new how-to guides for all Nintex products. There's a new video released with a walk through of using the Style Profile Designer to edit your colors used in SmartForms (https://community.nintex.com/t5/Nintex-K2-Five/Work-with-the-Style-Profile-Designer-Colors-Editor-Part-1/ta-p/227356). The team is also working on adding new videos and walk throughs for the features that have been recently released, in K2 Five (5.6) or coming soon to K2 Cloud in the late 2022 release. One way to stay in the loop when new content is published is to go to the home page of the How-To Center for your product (K2 Five or K2 Cloud), and under the options menu, select Subscribe (or Subscribe to RSS Feed). This will notify you when new content is published. The team is also tagging content as beginner, intermediate, or advanced so you can explore content relevant to your K2 experience.Don't see what you're looking for? Microsoft has previously announced a change to the ‘basic authentication’ option that some of our Nintex Kryon RPA customers may have utilized to connect to Exchange Online within automations initiated by Email Triggers and/or send emails via Email Advanced Commands. Specific information on this change is available via the Exchange Online blog here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/deprecation-of-basic-authentication-exchange-online Starting with the 21.4 release of Nintex Kryon RPA, we introduced capabilities to utilize the new ‘modern authentication’ options favored by Exchange Online to ensure customer solutions would work long after basic authentication was disabled by Microsoft starting October 1, 2022. In most scenarios, if you upgraded to Nintex Kryon RPA release 21.4 (or later) to utilize modern authentication with Exchange Online you likely will not be impacted by this change. How will this change affect me?If you are a Nintex Kr

Hello, RPA Community,I am happy to announce that the latest versions of RPA Central and Nintex Bot are available. The main enhancement and reason for this release is the support of secure, OAuth-based connections in Bot for working with email in Google Gmail and Microsoft Exchange Online. As you may be aware, these services have either turned off Basic authentication or are about to soon. So please create new email connections and switch your email actions over to those new connections. We have also worked on better targeting for browser actions and UIA, so you should see increased speed, accuracy, and reliability there, especially with custom applications or web pages that have a lot of nested tables. In RPA Central you will receive better messages if and when Bots go offline, and of course, we have made further improvements to the communication channel between Central and Bot to make sure Bots come online and stay online. Please reach out here if you have any questions about this releas

Sequential approvals - more flexibility with approval flows and notifications With sequential approvals you will be able to control the workflow of approval notifications. This brings the functionality to only send notifications to a stakeholder once preceding stakeholders have already approved. Why are we making these changes?Clients with larger and more extensive center of excellence teams may not want to include certain stakeholders in process approvals until other stakeholders have already approved e.g. an approval flow may go through a quality check with BA roles before going on to the process owner. The current approval functionality lacks this flexibility, and all approval notifications are sent to all stakeholders simultaneously. If this approval flow is required today, it requires communications and organization outside of the Promapp environment. What will improve with this release? Each top level process group will have the ability to choose a process approval type - simultan
