As you know, we recently released our latest versions of RPA Central and Bot. The biggest update includes using OAuth when creating email connections to Gmail and Microsoft Exchange. As you may be aware, both Google and Microsoft have either turned off all Basic auth or are going to by the end of the year.
Email connections that use Basic auth today will stop functioning soon. Google allows you to use an App password and I believe Microsoft does in some cases as well, but they both want everyone to use OAuth as it is more secure.
This also means that older versions of Bot, basically any version before 17.10.x, will not be updated to allow OAuth for these email connections. If you need this level of functionality, you’ll have to upgrade to the latest version of Bot that requires RPA Central as well.
