Microsoft Exchange Online - Password Change

We changed the password of the service account we’re using to capture emails for workflows with a Microsoft Exchange Online receive email start event.I was surprised to find out that not only did we need to update the Exchange Online connector with the new password, but we also had to republish the unchanged workflows.Is there something I’m missing? I have never had to do anything like this with SharePoint connectors. I didn’t even have to update the SharePoint connector when the user’s password changed.Is there something I can do so I don’t have to go through those steps every 3 months when we change the service account user’s password?Thank you.

Calling a Component Workflow as an API returns 202 Response Status Code

Hello,I’m trying to call a Nintex Automation Cloud Component workflow as an api from another Component workflow. *It is returning a response status code of 202, meaning the request was accepted, but the processing hasn’t been completed. How to handle this status within the calling workflow? The response content contains the instance id. It would be cool if I could reference this instance ID to get the data. But I can’t figure out how.Thanks!*The reason I’m trying to call a component as an api is because users cannot call a component workflow unless they are an owner. I want to protect my components from people accidentally changing them since they are shared by multiple users. So I thought I’d try to add a level of abstraction and grant people ownership rights on this api calling component (and protecting the component that’s actually doing the work.)

version compatibility issue nintex

hi,i am facing version compatibility issue in nintex one of my team member created a process in nintex k2 5.6 and i am using nintex k2 5.5 so when i tried to deploy package file of 5.6 in 5.5 it show version compatibility issues.can someone please help me out in this it is urgent.

Unpause error

I paused a workflow in NWC and now it won't 'Unpause' anymore.Pausing is a nice feature as I don't want this workflow to trigger for a moment while testing.But then it should UNPAUSE easily I would expect.But...:It doesn't help logging out/in or editing and re-publishing the workflow. It just won't unpause. What is meant with "Try again later"? Is the system too busy to unpause?Please, can anybody help?

NWC Workflow with Start Event SharePoint - New list item: How to get the managed metadata field?

Hey nintex community, I'm currently trying to build a workflow onto a SharePoint Online document library. Therefore I need all the item metadata to process and play with in my workflow. My Start Event is the "New list item" creation. Through this I get the coresponding Start Event start variables, so the values of each column of the item - with the ecxeption of the managed metadata fields. They do not appear in the list. I've done some research, but didn't find any info on that. Can anyone point me in the right direction in how to get the managed metadata info? Thanks and kind regards!Tim

Uploading Files Across Multiple Rows in Repeating Section of NAC Task Form

Hi Everyone,  I am currently facing a scenario and would greatly appreciate your insights and suggestions. I have a workflow that begins with a NAC form submission. The form includes a repeating section with data lookup fields, a SPOC email ID field, and other fields. The initiator can add multiple items to the repeating section and enter a SPOC email ID for each item, which may belong to the same person or different people. The workflow needs to send an email and assign tasks to these unique SPOCs, asking them to upload documents for each line item corresponding to the respective SPOC mentioned in the repeating section. Unfortunately, NAC has limitations that prevent us from displaying the repeating section details directly in our task form. As a workaround, we can convert it into an HTML table and display it in the form. However, we cannot add file upload controls inside the repeating section. But, it is essential to provide the functionality in the task form for the SPOCs to upload

How to send an email to an outside domain

I am attempting to build a workflow based off of a SharePoint Online list. The list should be set up to take email addresses outside our domain and the workflow should send to those emails. I am guessing that the best way to do this would be with a repeating section, but I really have no clue. The workflow as it currently is works to send to domain email addresses just fine, I just want to be able to copy outside people. Can someone point me in the right direction?

"Edit" URL - SharePoint Online Library

"Edit" URL - SharePoint Online LibraryHow in the world do we pass the edit URL through a workflow for users to open files and edit as if they were opening it from a library? The only URL available in NAC is the item URL which just allows user to download the file. Not open the source file.

File is locked for shared use by user

While trying to update an SharePoint online document from Nintex Workflow Cloud I'm getting the below error. Is it possible to catch the error and notify the admin (maybe by email) on this error or alternatively if the workflow could be updated to support co-authoring on the SharePoint online document that would be good too. Please help, any advice or alternatives would be appreciated. Thanks

Attach a SharePoint Online List Item Attachment(s) to NWC Workflow Assign a Task or Send an Email

I have a workflow with Start event: SharePoint - New List Item. The SharePoint online list item will have files attached to it. In the workflow, I am trying to "Assign a task" to a particular person which sends an email that includes the file attached to the item (if there is one). In my testing, I have found that the task email is not received but the I can see the task is created from NWC dashboard. I proceeded to try another scenario of attaching the file using "Send an email." In this case, I received the following error message: Unable to process the email attachment. File attachment variable must be a File or a Collection of files. [Error Code: IO.GenericActionExecute.ErrorResponse] In both cases, I am using the Item Attachments variable from the Start event.  Any ideas? I've submitted a ticket to support but waiting on them to get back to me.

Unable to Publish or Save over WiFi on Workflow Cloud

Hi there,I’m running into issues when attempting to save or publish a workflow over WiFi on the Workflow Cloud platform. The loading graphics stay on the screen for a while and then errors as below: This occurs on my home WiFi, phone hotspot and work WiFi *(which means firewall/port issues relating to the business network are excluded). It seems that saving and publishing only works when connected via LAN.Is this intended behaviour (baffling if so)? If not, how could I begin to troubleshoot?

Verify Azure AD group membership

In Automation CLoud, when I query Azure AD security groups, I need to know how many members are returned.  I don't see how to do that. I tried checking to see if the results were empty ('contains is empty"), but that doesn't work.  How do I verify an Azure AD security group has members?

Cannot save value in Task form People Control to SP Online People/Group List field

Hi all:We have a NWC/NAC Task Form with a people control on it. When we try to update the SP Online List’s People/Group field with the value from the task’s people control, it gives us the following:“Received an error response from the connector: BadRequest: SharePoint returns exception: An error occured during update items on list 'abc'. The actual exception is 'The user does not exist or is not unique.'. (Correlation Id: b627c3c5-b8fe-457e-960e-xxxxxxxx). [Error Code: IO.XtensionExecute.ErrorResponse]”The people DO exist in SP Online and both are using our Azure AD.On the Task form, if I put a simple text control and ask someone to manually type the person’s email address, I can query the user profile with that email address, get the results, and save those to the SP Online list. However, that is NOT ideal. We want people to be able to select from the People control.What are we missing? Does there need to be some intermediate step between getting the value from the task form and doin

Microsoft Excel connector - how to configure WF actions?

I've set up the Microsoft Excel connector today using personal credentials. From another post in this forum I've read the connector can only interact with files in a personal OneDrive, but this isn't stated in the Help Documentation. Assuming the other community member is correct - they seem to have got it working - where do I need to locate the Excel files in OneDrive for the Excel connector to find them? I've tried putting the file in the root - with no luck. A folder with a specific name? Anyone with experience here or from Nintex I would love to hear from you.

Saving files to a file share from a workflow

Has anyone found a reliable way to take files from a NAC / NWC workflow and save them to a file share on-premise?I’ve thought of some very round about methods of saving to SharePoint online, then using a Nintex on-prem workflow to download and save but that’s pretty ugly. The only other solution I’ve come up with is using Power Automate and the file system connector. However I’d really like not to use Power Automate and that connector is a premium connector requiring Power Automate standard alone licenses. (Just in case a product manager is reading this and would like to see a feature where Power Automate is better than Nintex) Keen to hear anyone else’s solutions to having files from NAC / NWC cross the firewall. I’ve also raised an idea for adding this to Nintex Gateway.Add support for file shares to Nintex Gateway | Nintex Ideas

Does anyone know where to find My Nintex training for user experience (participants)?

We have been struggling with finding user experience training for our internal customers.There is several, if not tons of resources available for a Designer and above role in Nintex Automation Cloud but nothing that supports with the experience the users (participants) who will be using these automated solutions. I really need help finding a product demo or some form of training that goes over the My Nintex Dashboard experience. We have created several short videos of our own for some training based on our business needs to support our customers but something like this I’d really like content or material that is directly from Nintex.Something that goes covers the dashboard, tasks, submit a form, form submissions and workflow tracking sections on the My Nintex page.

Suggestion: Workflow Instance Failure when emails are blocked by SendGrid

Have experienced email addresses being blocked by SendGrid several times. Looking at the Nintex Workflow there are no instance errors and the email appears to be successfully delivered.Is it possible to introduce a callback action from SendGrid to allow the workflow instance to provide a failure alert for the Send Email action advising the email was not delivered?

NWC - import CSV and split lines using RegEx

Assign multiple groups to send an email action

We want assign multiple SharePoint Security groups to the “Recipient email addresses” field in the “Send an email”-Action.As of the related help-page, the variable types can be Text or Collection:Send an email (nintex.com)Recipient email addresses Email addresses for recipients of the email message that the action sends. Use commas or semicolons to separate multiple email addresses. Do not select a null variable. Text, Collection  Does that mean, that we have to retrieve all users from all groups and put the email-addresses in a collection, which can then be assigned?That would be a hack of work. In one business case, we have 7 groups and in one of the branches another 5 groups. This is a library with guidelines and if specific users are approving a guideline, an info mail will be send around the globe to the related groups (depending on language and scope). Am I missing something, or is this a unwanted limitation?With kind regards, Ronny

Convert a completed form into a pdf file

I have a standard NWC form with a workflow. When the user completes the form, I want to save the completed form in pdf format in OneDrive. I am aware of Document Generation however I don't want to use a template. I want to save the file as is. How do you achieve this?
