Workflow to update Nintex group to match AD group

I have a complex workflow that updates a Nintex group to match the membership of a corresponding AD group. It works most of the time, but it runs many steps and for 1 specific group, the workflow terminates, probably because it reaches some limit. I was wondering if you can take a look and see if you can help me optimize this workflow so it won’t run into these problems. Here is my workflow:The inputs are the Name of AD Group & the Name of Nintex Group (which are often the same). Action 1 - Get all the members of the AD group.Action 2 - Get all the Nintex Groups in the tenant (because I don’t yet know a method to get a Nintex Group by name without looping through all the groups).Action 3 - Get all the Nintex users in the tenant (because I don’t yet know a method to get a Nintex user by name without looping through all the users).Action 4 - Loop through each Nintex Group.Action 5 - If one Nintex Group name matches the group name we want, then run this next step:Action 6 - Loop throu

Um where is the hyperlink button option on tasks????

Is this an oversight when releasing this feature? Button (nintex.com) I do not see anywhere in the help documentation where in states the button control is ONLY for start event forms. Our assumption was it’s for form designer for tasks or start events. Can someone look into this???? Form Designer for Start event forms: Form designer for Task forms:

Workflow deleting

Is there a feature on the roadmap (e.g., under Workflow settings > Workflow publishing) that would allow specific roles or groups to have permission to delete a workflow?Background: In our current support structure, workflow stewardship falls on citizen developers and workflow owners within the business. They proactively manage day-to-day troubleshooting, receive failure alerts, and escalate issues to IT if necessary. Currently, users with workflow owner permissions can delete workflows. However, until Nintex introduces a proper backup and restore feature, we cannot fully hand over management of our 400+ workflows to the business side. The risk of accidental deletion or, in the worst-case scenario, a compromised account resulting in malicious deletion, makes it critical to restrict the ability to delete workflows to certain user groups. This feature would be extremely beneficial.Any idea from best practise point-of-view is welcome :)

Changing an instance name

I am attempting to change the instance name to reflect variables in the start form using the 'Set instance name.'  I understand that this action should change the instance name in the My Nintex dashboard to the selected variables in the action.  This will make the instance easily identifiable by the user. Is the action configured correctly?  There is no change in the name reflected in the My Nintex dashboard. See attached screenshots.

How can I use functions in NAC workflow to update a variable?

Hello,I want to use the padLeft functionality to change a variable in my NAC workflow.Is it possible to use any functions in the workflow, or are they exclusivly for Nintex Forms?Using Nintex for SharePoint 2019 it was possible to use the functions inside of a workflow likefn-padLeft(txtDocumentID, 5, "0")Is there maybe a workaround to achive this without buildung a custom action for NAC?Thank you and best regardsNiklas

Error Handling - Additional Error Code Support

Idea has been created for this, please vote for it! (https://ideas.nintex.com/ideas/CNV-I-314) We’re finding that the new Error Handling features are great - when they work.  Unfortunately, the vast majority of the errors we’ve gotten since its introduction still cause the workflows to fail. In almost all these cases, retrying the failing command would have succeeded, which is the point of the error handling. My assumption is that the errors we’re receiving aren’t setup to apply to Nintex’s error handling. Ideally (to me at least), this caveat wouldn’t even exist, and the error handling could apply to ALL instances where a step failed, regardless of how it failed. My question is this - If we have an error that we think error handling should be capable of catching, but isn’t, what is the preferred way for us to tell Nintex that we’d like to have it supported?  I presume either a support case or an Idea submission, but I’m making a forum post so that it’s public as to what way Nintex pre

Why can't I get current item in a loop thru

Hi,   I have a workflow that is not giving the option to select ‘Current Item’.  I need that to loop.  below is a output from a ‘Query a List’ .  ID’s for records to interrogate I have available coming from SharePoint Online menu item  / a notification email shows each ID I need to hit.  but in the loop I”m only getting a single record even though appears I am hitting my list through all records.But only get the first tested record to send a run if true email based on conditions.      The Output →  result is of type file.

Create User in tenant with API

Hi all, We want to use the API for the automatic creation of users.We have used the documentation as a template, but unfortunately we always get the error 403 with the reference to rfc9110#section-15.5.4.Reading the tenant via ‘get users in Tenant’ and deleting users works.Does anyone have any ideas?Thank you Christian Create user in tenant | Nintex Automation Cloud

How to loop through a 'Scheduled Tasks' 'Query a list' as next step - only finding just first record

H, So I have a workflow that is scheduled to run monthly as a first step, next step is to interrogate a target list with a ‘Query List’ action.  Problem is I'm getting a first record that hits criteria but its not running through the whole list, It’s hitting the first record/ responding as expected / hits criteria fine and I get a notification email. Problem is that’s the only notification I’m getting, and I know there are more in that list that hit that criteria but are not sending me notifications for them.  I believe my list is not being looped through but I'm not sure what’s up.  Here is my workflow. The first email disabled is just me making sure I have what I need into the ‘IF TRUE THEN’ and then I only get one email.   I then get into the next step, ‘run if true’ but I’m only getting one response from what I believe is a correct hit to send a notification.  How do I have the workflow go through all the rest of the records and test / present if any of the other list’s records as

Assign flexi task in component workflow

Hi I have a scenario where i have multiple forms and each form different level of approvers and i have to create seperate workflow for each form  , so to make it dynamic i can create a component workflow with looping task assignees based on form and call the this component workflow for task assign on form submission , but the challenge is how do i pass the task form for approvals Please suggest any ideas on this. Thank you

Will there be a quiz option for forms in the future?

Will there be a quiz option for forms in the future similar to what Microsoft provides with their forms?  I ask because we are using a MS “Quiz” form that allows for a timer. We’d like to move this into Nintex but can’t think about any OOB ideas to make this happen.

Is it possible to connect start form people picker field to SharePoint group?

Hello,I am building a simple Nintex Cloud start form that only has 4 fields and one of the fields is a People picker field which works perfect with grabbing actual users but a actual SharePoint group is expected to be picked in this field.  Is it possible at all to connect the People Picker field to allow SharePoint groups as a option or would a text field need to be used somehow?The current 2013 Nintex On Prem Form allows the people picker to connect to either People or SharePoint group.Thnx

Start Event Variable Item showing as integer

I am using NWC.  I have a start event variable that is showing as an integer (it is a People Picker field).  The Nintex designer and Sharepoint List has this field has a ‘People Picker’ AND has both ‘Users’ and ‘Allow selection of: People and Groups’.  Show field is set: Name (with presence).  I did try changing this to ‘Work email’.  My question is (I hope above is enough information), I want to be able to pull the email address for a single user or a group so the workflow can send an email.  What would be a way (or ways) to get this accomplished? P.S.  I don’t seem to have this trouble if I only use the ‘Allow selection of: People Only’Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks, Lois

Database error when generating document. (NAC + Sharepoint Online)

Would anyone know what this error is when generating a document? I am so confused and cannot figure out how to solve this. “Error generating document. Dates are changing

Hi Everyone, We have a Travel Workflow where user add dates.Our Tenant is in UK based but when employee who raises request outside of UK, dates are changing.Below case one of the employee raised from Amsterdam but dates changed to 20 to 21 for us but he raised for 21 to 22. I have tried changing workflow setting of timezone from No to YesThen change it to UK. Didn’t workThen again to None but none of it worked out.How do we fix dates which user selected in form. It should show dates which user has selected, when it comes to UK region for approval, Request will come from all over the world.Can anyone help with this please?

How To Store Task ID In Nintex Automation Environment?

Hello,I am working on migrating a workflow that assigns a task but also Stores that task ID into a variable easily.  In Nintex Automation Cloud that “store task ID” is not easily available so how would I go about being able to retrieve this approval task ID so that it can be used further in the workflow to filter items?Thanks N Advance

How to get today's date in Nintex Automation Cloud NAC

I am trying to match dates.  One date is ‘Created’ to which I add 30 days.  Second date is what I want to compare, Today’s date.  If they match then I send a notification email to customer.  I can’t locate / see how I can get ‘todays’ date out on Nintex workflow.  I want to use a ‘If then run’ to see if both dates match but don’t know how to get today’s date.  I imagine it would be something to do with ‘date’ function, something akin to / like ‘date now’ but can’t locate that. Any help appreciated.

Is it possible to customise the NAC My Tasks view?

We have recently gone live with Nintex Automation Cloud, and have a number of workflows running for a series of different business processes. Since we went live, we have been inundated with calls from our business teams, complaining that the My Tasks view in NAC, does not show any information that relates to the form data being processed, like a person’s name or the form ID, for example.Is there any means of customising the columns this view shows?

How do I handle large SharePoint lists?

I have developed a workflow which is used to extract items from a list on a monthly basis for business finance. Below is a description of the approach I have taken.Step 1: The workflow has to query the list to capture the required items. This is done with a Query List action, filtered by the date range (first to last days in a calendar month). This can result in anything from 800 to 3000 items in the target range.Step 2: We then need to loop through the Items collection and break it into individual collections, one per column needed. There are 14 columns that are of interest.Step 3a: Next, another loop is needed to extract each collection item into a usable variable, which can then be used in the output stage. Within this loop is a Run-If action that batches in chunks of 200, using a row count variableBatching in 200sStep 3b: Now the collections are run though a parallel action and apply some date/time formatting as well as Regex to remove problematic special characters and line feeds.
