Hi,For a new workflow I would need to create an Azure AD guest user.There is a “Create User” action in “Azure Active Directory Administration” connector but it seems that this is only to create internal members and not guest account…Is there any way to create a guest account ?Thanks !
I’m working on a Workflow that would send Tasks, not only to people within my organisation, but also to external people. In my tests to my private email address I have noticed that email@example.com gets marked as SPAM and also if I use a different address like “firstname.lastname@example.org”. I thought if I would add an SPF-record to my domain’s DNS-records that it would decrease the chance that the email would get marked as SPAM, if I use “email@example.com”. But what would be the exact SPF-record to add? And are there any more settings like DKIM I could add?
Hi all, I have been trying to follow some previous articles (namely @jesse_mchargue’s Queries, and Collections, and Loops, Oh My!) because it seems to be explaining somewhat what I want to achieve, but with the broken images, it is making it a bit difficult for a newbie like myself!I currently have a form which asks a user to submit payments against a reservation. I have used a repeating section to allow the user to submit more than one payment.I was able to loop and add that data to a Sharepoint list where each ‘transaction’ is a new row (thanks to the advise of @brandiwoodson).The second part of my solution (and the bit that I fear wont be possible) to the issue I am trying to resolve, is for a different user at the end of the day to go into another form, query all the transactions that were submitted on that day in the particular station, then add an authorisation code. Hello,I have a Nintex cloud workflow using a start event form in SharePoint. High-level, there are three paths with a task form on each based on which “reviewer” is selected on the SharePoint form. Each path is set to “wait” and query a list to set the workflow in motion if another person is added to review (in case the first person hasn’t completed their task yet). The three reviewers are: Liaison Reviewer M&M Reviewer Additional Liaison ReviewerThe user may select all three on the first time filling out the form or select one, then go back in an edit and select another one, or any variation of that. The workflow works fine when selecting only one of these reviewers individually, or all three at once, but getting an error when I only select one and then go back in to edit the form and add any others as a secondary reviewer. Test Example 1:On submit, someone is put into the Liaison Reviewer field - task email is sent On edit, someone is added to the M&M Reviewer field - no task
Nintex has recently upgraded the Single Choice Control with the Insert Option. This means that form designers are now able to include External Data Sources as Options. I recommend using Single Choice Control instead of Data Lookup as several other enhancements are planned for the Choice Controls. Effectively, Single Choice Control can now do everything a Data Lookup control can and more.Below is an example of Nested Choice Controls - Based on the selection made in the first choice control, the participant is provided with choice options in the second field. Here are steps with some snapshots.Create 2 Data Source Variables for the Sharepoint Columns you need to appear as choices Drag on Single Choice Controls and select the display type In the Option for each Single Choice Control, click Insert and select DSV 1 and DSV 2 and select the relevant column (collection) Apply nesting condition on the second DSV (similar logic to what the customer used in Data Lookup) Test the condit
I am currently working on a Nintex cloud form where I am pulling in the individual’s name and other demographic information from an SQL view we have created. The staff filling out the form will select this individual from a sql list of 7800 names. Then the name selected will be used to derive the other demographic fields related to that individual.The issue is that we are running into a data source limit of 5000 items so not all the names are populating. Only 5000 of the 7800 or so. Has anyone figured a way to get all the items into a data lookup on a cloud form? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
I am currently working on a Nintex cloud form where the user is required to add an attachment in a few spots earlier in the form. These values and files are stored in the collection variable. At the end of the form, I’m making a Review Section where the user can see a summary of all the data they have entered earlier on the form and any files they have attached. I was able to make a label and pull in the other variables for the controls previously entered into this Review Section but not the attachment controls. Those attachment controls are greyed out in the form control dialog window. Is there anyway to extract the attachment filename or path into a string variable? That way I can have it appear in this review section? Thank you in advance.
I am currently working on Nintex Automation Cloud form that is very lengthy and will take a lot of time to complete. There are 10+ steps and each step takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. Is there any way to save a form after each step or to save mid form? I feel like there will be scenarios where staff could get halfway through the form and then have internet issues or get a phone call and then lose all the data they have previously entered. Has anyone encountered a form/scenario like this?
Ok. I’m horrible with timezones. I’m a little confused though. I want to use the date/time in UTC for a deadline. Users are submiting a form globally. Based on their timezone, the cutoff is 1pm on September 18th. Since we can’t turn a form off on a schedule based on local time zone how do I make an email go out if they submit after cutoff day/time?I did set a date variable in workflow as current date and time. I did a condition on that variable against what time I knew it was in UTC that had lapsed. However, my condition was set for the timestamp is after 08/04/23 and 12:15 am UTC, if so send an email. If not, continue with workflow. It’s not recognizing the UTC time in the workflow. I was under the impression when it goes INTO NAC the system converts it to UTC. I also have everything in tenant set to UTC and the workflow set to UTC. I ran the workflow around 12:40 am UTC, which would be AFTER my condition for date/time. I do NOT understand why it’s saying it’s not after that time yet
When I pass a Nintex WF for O365 collection using action "Start Workflow in Nintex Automation Cloud" the cloud instance fails to start with "The specified value is unknown. [Error Code: TypeCasting.UnknownCasting]". I’ve tried a few options, but the fact that Nintex for O365 determines the start collection type as text seems to prevent anything from working. In Nintex for O365 it works. You can also cast between serialised json, to collections, and back again.How do I pass this existing collection into NCA? Background - this is a cloud component ‘GetFiles’ WF that is replacing the same functionality in a Nintex for O365 WF, so it needs to be able to be called by both existing Nintex for O365 WFs and new Cloud WFs while we transition to cloud.
Hi all!I’m sure this question has been asked before, but I am trying to use a repeating section to update a Sharepoint List and I just don’t understand how to do it. I have a Repeating Section with 1 text field, 1 single choice field, and 1 currency field. I would like there to be a new list item for each line of the repeating section but keeping the rest of the form the same.When I try to use a way I think will work, I get the error The specified value is unknown. [Error Code: TypeCasting.UnknownCasting] in the Workflow Testing, which to me, doesn’t mean much.Hope this makes sense! Thank you!
Can Nintex please either provide a solution with step-by-step instructions in a video on how to extract task details into excel for one workflow for the last 7 days using the Odata report available in Analytics? The video is great in help documentation but show us how to do the workflow configuration and beacons to get task details! Or add a predefined report in Analytics that supports this for audit purposes and to better support our internal customers!!!!!!! We have been asking for almost a year now for a predefined report and nothing! We can’t pull task details out of NAC which makes it difficult on all levels!I want to know if the level of detail even exists for our needs using Odata in Analytics before I spin my wheels longer trying to get this information out if I could ever figure out how to use the beacons? Will it generate all tasks and include the following level of details: Assignee Completed by Completed Date Creaetd Date Escalated To ID Outcome Status Updated dateWe had a
Anyone know what is causing this message under instance activities? Retrieving data. Check back in a few minutes.It happened earlier last week and now it’s stuck like this for all our workflows. I’m waiting on Nintex support team to respond but since it’s the weekend, I doubt it will be looked at before Monday. We can’t run tests though or do anything at the moment in this tenant with this as an issue - it has impacted workflow testing tool also in designer.It’s not effecting our other tenants, so any suggestions on what causes this to avoid this in the future would be appreciated.
I’m trying to use the new Nintex form plugin, Dynamically set repeating section rows (neo-rs). But despite its title, it doesn’t seem very “dynamic” to me. I’m a total amateur with plugins and this is my first attempt at using one in an NAC form, so I could be doing something wrong.I’ve followed the instructions on the gallery page precisely. But the plugin seems to work only if the variable in the Number of sections by default field already has a value when the form launches. If you change the value of that variable - or give it a value - while completing the form, the default number of rows in the repeating section doesn’t change. This doesn’t seem very “dynamic” to me at all. In fact, it seems to defeat the purpose of the plugin entirely. You can already enter a default number of rows in the Repeating section action. If this plugin can’t change that default number while the form is being completed (i.e., act dynamically), I don’t see what good it does.I’m trying to use it on a form
I have a NWC workflow that we use for job applications. We allow users to attach resumes with their applications. Somehow, some applicants are uploading resumes with characters that are not valid in OneDrive, causing the process to crash when saving the resume. It is usually a PDF with a colon “:” in the file name.Is there a way to either rename the file before saving, or some form of validation to prevent uploading files with a : in the file name?
How can I use a person's email to query a list and find the same list item associated with that email?
My workflow begins on a start form where a manager can enter several employees into a people field. The workflow then sends them an invite to complete an assessment, which is then stored on a list.Each person can have only one entry on the list.We then want to loop through the invited employees, querying the assessment list to see if their entry exists and send them a reminder if they haven’t completed the assessment.But I run into a few problems: 1. The Query List function only allows you to check the Azure ID # of people fields.The Start form stores the people field information as Full Name, First Name, Last Name, Email, ID, and Source. However, because the people field allows for multiple entries, the ID seems to be the item’s ID in the collection and NOT it’s ID in Azure. Lastly, I can’t insert any of the individual variables associated with that person in the Condition Builder. So even if I could compare the email of the current loop item to an email field in the list, this
I have created a form which will then generate a document later in the process.Within the document (a customer report) I would like to include graphs which represent the data the customer input into the form at the beginning. I have tried the standard insert graph in word (in my case a pie chart) and used the document tagger to input the field information from the form into the excel data for the graph in word but it doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas please?
Hello, We are setting up several workflows in NWC that are initiated by start forms. The start forms will be accesible to authenticated users. Is it possible to restrict access to the forms for specific users or a group of users? For example, can we set it so that under the "Submit a Form" section in User A's "My Nintex", User A only has the option to fill out Form A, and under User B's section, User B only has the option to fill out Form B?Thank you in advance for any assistance.
Hello, I need help with the Run Parallel Paths action. It is not working for me. I have one reject workflow, but the rest are still able to approve/reject even though I put in the completion condition to true. Can someone help me or show me how, please? I am really stuck on this. Thanks in advance.
Hi there, I have an issue with getting updated workflow variable values to apply to different branches within a run parallel paths action. My workflow variable is set to Go, and in branch #1 later changes to Stop (labelled “a” in snips, step 51 in workflow testing) if certain conditions are met, but this updated status does not apply to temporally subsequent actions in the second branch. The workflow variable in branch #2 only has the initial Go status at the log an instance and conditional branch (labelled “b” in snips, step 63 in workflow testing). We can see that WF_Reminder_Status = Stop at 8:49 AM (step 52) and = Go at 8:50 AM (step 62) without being further updated.. As a result, Reminder emails are incorrectly being sent. I have increased the “Pause by” durations, it makes no difference. Is there any way to get the workflow variables to be updated across the workflow/get the two branches to “talk” to each other? Otherwise they should just call them branch variables, if they are
Hi all,i can’t find any solution to this simple problem and not sure what’s wrong.I have a simple start form in NAC with Text Input, Data lookup (SharePoint Online) and File upload.In Browser “Select files” opens file explorer and i can upload multiple files as wanted.In Nintex Mobile App “Select files” only opens camera: How to fix this?
