Hello,I am reaching out to see if someone can help me understand (if possible) how to open a NAC Form within a SharePoint Online list. With Forms for O365 you could click on the “+New” button in the sharepoint list and a Nintex form would open up but not you can’t do that with the NAC forms or can you?Too, you were also able to apply your columns in your sharepoint list to the fields in the form but I don’t see that you can do that within the NAC forms either... I’ve been trying to find videos and or documentation that shows you in a beginners way to approach this... help please? Thanks!
Just starting our journey from Nintex for O365 to NAC. We have a lot of task forms with fields connected to SPO lists that users can modify when completing the task. My initial testing and reading posts in this community suggest that it no longer works in NAC and the only way to do it is to create separate fields on the form and use an action to update the SPO list. Can you please confirm this and if this is the case any suggestions/recommendations for the scenarios below? To show a current value from SP and to be able to update it I will have to use 2 separate fields on the form - correct? To use choice fields I will have to maintain a separate choice fields on SharePoint and on task forms? Is it possible to create “global” choice fields in NAC and reuse them in multiple task forms? Is there an option to use a People Picker from AAD/EntraID in NAC? I also assume there is no way to be able to update Managed Metadata fields ?Any other suggestions or best practices? I was hoping I could
Hello there.my workflow is a form in SharePoint list and the form is basically registering for visitors and if you have more than one visitor you need to click a button and add more visitors (repeating selection)the form works just fine but the issue here is that once you add more visitors it read the data in the SharePoint as xml not text. my question is how to convert it into a text, so it shows the names added in the list in text ??here is the list now : Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone! I am creating a form where someone will be auditing processes. As part of the form, I want to be able to give the auditor the ability to attach photographs of certain issues. Following various forum posts, I have been able to add the attachment to the list item, however in the form I have a few diffrent sections, and would like to make the photos stay in that section on the SP List rather than a group of images attached to the item (hopefully that makes sense).I have been able to add the attachement to the item by doing Loop for each, and using the Add attachment to item function, but as the name suggests, that just adds the attachement to the item, and not the section. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I may be able to achieve what I am wanting? Thanks in advance!
Is it possible to edit the task footer text that currently reads “You may complete this form: or you may reply to this e-mail with: "Rejected" or "Approved" followed by a comma and any comments.” All I see in the action is a checkbox to toggle its visibility. How do I edit the message?
Hello All, I have a Yes/No field called “Price Change” on a Nintex form. Based on that selection, a Repeating section will populate with below fields. From (Text Box)To (Text Box)PO Attached (Yes/No)Effective Date (Date)Comments (Text)The repeating section is connected to a “Multi-Line plain text field” on the SharePoint list. And fields inside the repeating sections are not connected. Requirement – Now I want to send an email notification to creator based on the “PO Attached” field. If the PO Attached is “Yes” on ROW 1 of the repeating section then the workflow has to loop to the ROW 2 and check for the “PO Attached” field and send an reminder email notification for every 3 months until the PO is attached for that effective date and so on. Tried a lot of things (Query XML, Loops) but unable to get the repeating section data to workflow to trigger the notification
I am working on creating a Nintex workflow cloud form start form that has multiple attachment controls. Some of these attachments are optional on the form. In the Nintex Cloud workflow, is there a way to see if a attachment collection variable isn’t null? I take these attachment variables and put them on a notification message and I’m getting errors if the value is null.Thank you in advance,Patrick
Good day. Recently, in our Nintex Cloud dashboard the name in the upper right side of the screen, the name turned into ?? for some users, but not all of us. For example, the correct name and incorrect like this: On the other hand, in user management settings, it shows like below: Is there anything wrong in the dashboard for another language? or it just some crushed in our AAD?Thank you!
We would prefer to use the Microsoft Exchange Online - Send an Email action in our NAC workflows vs the NAC - Send an Email action, because the NAC emails are getting flagged with a “Caution: this email originated from outside of the organization.” warning, and we can’t turn that off.The Message Body window in the NAC email action has a rich text menu though, whereas the MS email action does not. How are hyperlinks and formatting to be added to the MS email message body - does the whole body have to be written out as HTML first?
I am trying to extract the number before a decimal point but keep it as an integer. I have found posts about how to extract numbers, but they all convert them to text. I can’t seem to come up with the needed Regex formula, but I guess there might be another solution?I would like to convert something like 2023.0 to just 2023.
Hello Everyone, Here's my explanation.I have a submission form using Nintex Workflow Cloud and a file upload control. After submit, we can get the file from "Start Event" default property from Nintex Workflow Cloud. My question is..Is it possible to rename the file before upload to SharePoint Online Document Library ?I can't seem to find a way within NWC to rename the file. Thanks in advance
Just curious how come deleted items don’t make it to the recycle bin on a SharePoint site? I'm using Delete Item action. I can’t resubmit the instance if it fails if I can’t restore the file that the workflow deleted? For some reason my update items did NOT work on a workflow, and now we cannot resubmit the instance to do what it needs. Odd.
Hi When i am adding a table in the send an email action, the table is always not in line with the email body, either too much space between the bottom of the table and the next paragraph, or the words are next to the table. Is there any way to fix it? Thank you!For example, if i have the below in the setting, the actual email will have 7-8 empty lines until the next paragraph.
Hello,I am trying to calculate 12 months (From date /To date) exactly. So from 1/1/2023 to 12/31/2023 I continue to get 11 months in my form. I am doing this within NAC Forms. I used the function below and continue to get 11 months. Am I using the wrong function?“dateDiff([Datetime].[TotalMonths],[Form].[Repeating Section].[Current row].[FROM Date],[Form].[Repeating Section].[Current row].[TO Date])”The formula I am trying to mimic is out of an excel form. That formula is listed below and outputs 12 months when I enter in the same dates.=IF(F32="","",YEARFRAC(D32,F32)*12)Your help is appreciated! Thanks
I am trying to use a File Upload Control. Ultimately I need to store it to Azure Blob Storage, but for now I just want to store it to OneDrive. I cannot find an example of how it is done. According to documentation I have to set up a Default File Storage, but I don't have that option. I have File Upload Storage. I guess that is file, since it is saving the attachment as a Collection Variable. What I don't see is how I am going to get that variable to store it to One Drive, or eventually to Azure Blob Storage.Regards.
I am trying to convert an O365 workflow to NAC. The O365 workflow has multiple tasks, and for each completed task the name of the approver and approval date are written back to the SP list which initiates the workflow. This is done is by giving each task a unique name - e.g. “Director Approval Task - ID*List Item ID*”, and when a task is completed, the task approver is captured by querying the task list for the Modified By field of the task with the unique name (all tasks are first responder, so there’s only ever one completed task with a unique name), and the date is just the date the update list action is executed (because it happens right after task completion). How do I replicate this in NAC - i.e. on task completion, locate that specific completed task, so that I can grab the approver name and approval date?
I am working on upgrade my workflows from O365 to NAC. I have one workflow that I am currently working on. It generates a document from information in a SharePoint list and stores that document in a SharePoint library. I want to update several fields in the library, but I can’t get the columns to populate. The document makes it in, I believe that I have all field types correct. If I log to instance details, the start variables show the correct information. I am wondering if the Update List Item action can even be used to update a library item? Or is there something else that I am missing?
