NAC Task Form Language Default Setting

I am not able to choose german as a default language for a Task-Form in a “Assign a task to multiple users”-Action.As you see here:  The regional setting from this related Form is set to german.Our global language settings having english as the default and I cannot change this because we live in a multi language environment:  Is that a bug or am I miss something?

How to extract XML from repeating section with name and email address

I’ve seen an example to do this from a form, but this is in a SharePoint list. I have a repeating section. I can extract each field (name and email address), but can’t figure out how to send an email to each and addressing each one by name. For instance, I want to send an email to each sfisher@gmail.com and to bbobber@gmail.com and address each one with their name respectively. (send to sfisher@gmail.com and say “Hi Sam”) I queried each xml field and can get that data. Here are my queries in the workflow:

Trying to Sum a calculated field in a repeating section

Hello, I am running into an issue that I feel should be easy to resolve, but I can’t seem to nail it down. I have a repeating sectionInside this repeating section I have a data driven drop down for users to choose a product.Then I have a field for them to enter a quantity of that product, and next a field that displays the price of that product based on the same external data that drive the product list.I have a field that calculates the total cost of that line item.IE.All of this works great, however I would like to Sum the total of all records, because if the form reaches a certain value I would like to add an extra approval. I can’t seem to Sum the Total Cost field outside of the Repeating Section. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide,Greg

Document Generation for Nested data from an external source

I am trying to do a Document Generation Workflow, that is triggered by a user that selects certain filters for a report.I query a sharepoint list “Risks” (query has conditions based on the form filters) that will act as a parent list, it will contain header information in the report. Then I have a Loop for Each action on the Risks Collection. Within the Loop for each, I query another Sharepoint List, called Controls, to bring back all Controls where Risk list ID = Controls List [Risk ID].The Controls list acts as the child.Can I configure the Document Generation action to have repeating data within another set of repeating data?ie I want a report that has a section for each Risk, that has Risk Name, Description etc, then a table that shows all the controls for that risk. I have been trying to make it work, but If I have loop for each Risk, then query sharepoint Controls list, then the workflow only remembers the last set of controls.Nintex also won’t let me add a “Loop for each” as rep

Why are deleted items not going to recycle bin in SharePoint Online?

Just curious how come deleted items don’t make it to the recycle bin on a SharePoint site? I'm using Delete Item action. I can’t resubmit the instance if it fails if I can’t restore the file that the workflow deleted? For some reason my update items did NOT work on a workflow, and now we cannot resubmit the instance to do what it needs. Odd.

SPO Person ID vs email property

Need some help with a process. So we want to use the OOB configure approvals feature released by Microsoft to the GA back in June. Approvals in Lists - Microsoft Support The issue we are experiencing is, we cannot leverage NAC workflows with the information stored in the fields created by Microsoft when enabling this feature. The ONLY information brought into NAC for lists that have this configured is the person ID property, no email or username property. That being said, if we wanted to notify someone or add additional automation to this OOB feature, we cannot. Does anyone know why the ID property is the only thing being returned for the fields in the red box shown below?  Challenges with OOB Feature: Emails do not go out to the approvers - only activity alert in TEAMS and goes to the “approvals” section of TEAMS. History is lost if multiple submittals for approval on one list item - therefore if we need an audit trail of it one version was approved on 1/1/24 but a different version w

Using Task Form URL in Send an Email Task for Team Communication in Approval Workflow

Hi Nintex Community,I’m working on a workflow in Nintex Automation Cloud that starts with an item creation in a SharePoint list and involves an approval process. Our goal is for the assigned approver to engage in discussions with the team (in CC) before making a decision. Ideally, the approver would use the initial email to access the Task Form, participate in discussions, and then return to the first email to approve or reject the task.Currently, I’m avoiding sending the usual task approval email by leaving the Assigned Task email blank in the Assign a Task to Multiple Users action. Instead, I'm attempting to include the Task Form URL in a Send an Email action for initial communication. However, I haven’t been able to successfully pass the Task Form URL to the email.Has anyone successfully implemented this, or is there an alternative approach to achieve this functionality? I’d appreciate any guidance or insights on making the Task Form URL available in the email so the approver can bo

List attachments collected on a start event form onto a Approval Task form

Is there a way to list the attachments collected on a start event form onto an approval task form? I know I can attach the files in the task notification email (and any notification) that goes out.  However, that feels disjointed to me.  I have several sections in the starting form that require attached documentation.  To have that all come to the approver in one clump of attachments feel clunky. If anyone has done something like this, please let me know.  Thank you.

Exchange Online trigger - retrieve attachments?

I am creating a workflow which is triggered by an email arriving in an Exchange Online mailbox.  I can retrieve all the email properties (from, to, subject, date, etc) no problem.The email has a property “has Attachments” which is true or false.However, it does not seem to expose the attachment files themselves.  Is it possible to retrieve these?I want to create a SharePoint document set for each email, and store the attachments inside the document set as files.Thanks in advance!

NAC Form - iframe background colour

Hi, does anyone know how to change the background colour of an embedded NAC form iframe? We have some rules on the form which makes the form longer or shorter, depending on the answers to previous questions, so need to set the height of the iframe to accommodate this. This results in an unsightly grey box beneath the form. Any idea how to set this to white? From rule issue with field populated from a data variable.

Hey Team,I am having some challenges with form rules / validation working correctly against a field that I am populating using a data variable. Build Details:I have a form variable “StaffID” that I am populating from a value parsed in the form URL I then have a form data variable configured that is querying a SQL view that is filtered using the StaffID value On the form itself I have a field “StaffName” which is configured as “Required” and “Read Only” and to populate the StaffName Field I have a rule rule triggered if it is “Not Filled” to set the value based on what is returned in the data variable.Now this all work great if the StaffID that I use in the URL is valid and returns a result, but if I use an invalid ID in the URL, the StaffName field will obviously be blank and you would expect that the form would throw an error saying that the SatffName field is required when the submit button is hit, but it does not… the form is submitted with a blank value for StaffName.I have also tr

How To Create New Item With Content Type Fields

Hello,I have a new issue where I am trying to migrate a 2013 On Prem workflow that uses list content type to create a new item but in automation cloud I am not finding the list lookup option how it functions in on prem environment.  There are several fields that need to be added to this new item action via list lookup, just unsure how exactly I connect to this content type to filter each field.

Using Rich Text fields in Nintex Data

We’re continuing to expand the capabilities that Nintex Data supports.  We’ve recently added support for large text fields that support rich text.  This makes document generation even more powerful.  We've always respected document formatting when generating documents.  If you place your tag into a bulleted list, the items in that tag will come out as a bulleted list.  By respecting the original formatting of the document, you can create very accurate documents. In this blog, I'll continue on from my previous blog where we use Nintex data as the source for document generation but note you're not restricted to just using Nintex data - you can populate your document from any data source.  I’ve assumed you’ve read the previous blog which provides some context and some fundamentals on using Nintex data and document generation. In that blog we simulated a council and making public spaces available for hire.  There's a plain text field that provides a description of the public space and that

Extract Data from Email Body using Retrieved email start event for Exchange

Is there a way to extract data from an exchange receive an email trigger email since it outputs as HTML? I need to someone extract the name, email, course name and date from this email.  Business is content on using the receive date as the date the course was taken. But the rest is in the body of the message and subject line. I proposed a string in the email body and then after running tests to apply regular expression, realized that it’s coming through as HTML. Is there an easy way?The end goal is to store the extracted data into a SPO list.

Calculating price totals in a form

I have a form where the requestor can select multiple software application for a new employee (a Choice - Multiple) Action.Each piece of software has a license cost assigned.We want to show the requester the software the total cost of all the selections and the individual costs. We would be looking up the costs from a table.For example:The requestor chooses:Microsoft VisioMicrosoft ProjectI want to display (sample costs)    Microsoft Visio $100    Microsoft Project $200   Total $300They should see this before they hit submit on the form. I’m sure others have done this but I don’t see anything obvious.

Hyperlinks in a workflow form - Two hyperlinks on two lines

In my workflow, I create hyperlinks for my documents uploaded to my start form to display them in a second form. My uploaded documents are saved in SharePoint Online.  I find it difficult to see that there are 2 documents. I was wondering if I can have a carriage returns between my two links? to have the 2 hyperlinks on 2 linesI tried <br>, but the system doesn’t want to save it. When I return to my action, the <br> is no longer there. Or maybe adding more spaces between the two links? Or other characters?This is how I create my hyperlinks:<a href=”(file URL)”>(file name)</a>Result into a txt variableIn my second form, I have a label with this txt variable in the text box

Sharepoint Online - Get a File action problem

We have created Sharepoint online connection with the necessary permissions.Quering a list etc. works fine but when I try to use the get a file action. I encounter the following error.Received an error response from the connector: {"message":"[SP.ATH.Forbidden] Error Downloading file contents for filename 'blanko.xlsx' for the site 'redacted'. Force auto completion based on conditions on the task form?

I know there is an auto-complete feature in workflow designer but how do I force the form to auto complete based on a condition?  We are attempting to create a three-attempt quiz. I want the task form to be “completed” the second they make a 3rd attempt to avoid users from refreshing the form. I don’t want to overly complicated more than I already have had to do with just trying to make a concept of a “quiz” in NAC similar to a quiz using MS Forms. Any thoughts on an OOB solution to make this happen?

Create a read only list from a DataLookup SharePoint multi person list (not data picker)

Hi, I have looked all through the community and cannot find how to do this, I am sure there must be a way.I am looking up data from a SharePoint list using the ID, easy, the user enters the ID and then the from pulls the data. Issue is one of my Felds in this instance is a multi person column. The data field only shows the first entry.I want to know if there is a way that a list can be created from this and shown on the form. Ideally I would like it to create a table where I could check off who has attended the meeting but lets start off small in the beginning.If any one can help will be really happy. CheersJamo
