Nintex Workflow

Hi, I’m using Nintex Automation Workflow cloud and noticed that my admin account is applied to the “modified by” column. I am assuming every time the workflow runs through an action like “update item” it applies my admin acct name. Am I understanding this correctly?I was asked why I was modifying the item in sharepoint and I’m not, my thought to this was that every time the workflow ran through an action that, that happened. Can someone explain?

All,Looking for some basic help here.I have a separate repeating section which will gather 5 separate pieces of DATA for each specific attachment added to an attachment field within a group on the Nintex workflow form.Can I then grab and assign that data to each attachment and write it all to a Library in SharePoint?In effect if I have 3 attachments, ROW 1 data will be for file1, Row2 for file 2 and Row 3 for file 3.  But I haven’t a clue how to do this in a Lop for each in the workflow.

I’ve seen with a recent update the I can Copy the data from a Repeating Section down from the start form and into a task, and the data is editable. This is great for our workflows, but I’ve run into an issue in getting the data to copy between two tasks.We have two tasks(A and B) after the Start Form in a Branch by Stage action. The Initial/Default Branch flows to task A, that has two options Complete or Send to the Other Brach that has Task B when they click submit. Task B on the Other Branch, has the exact same options so information can flow between A and B until A is satisfied and they choose to Exit and end the workflow.The issue with the Repeating Section that I'm having is that the data in that only seems to flow one way. Task A can receive the data from the Start form and Task B can receive it from A, but if B sends back to A, A still uses the Start Form’s data.I got around this with all the other variables by writing them into a workflow variables after

I have a start d/t and an end d/t fields on my NWC form. I would like to show a message to the user if their end date is = or < the start time. “is not” , “not equal”, or “equal” conditions are not available when comparing d/t fields in this version for forms. That seems odd to me Nintex wouldn’t make those options available.  The only way I can think of is to convert the d/t fields to strings in a variable. There are many more conditions available when comparing text strings. My VAR’s are setup the same  Just so I can see if the VAR’s are correctly populated, I’m displaying the values in the fields immediately below the d/

I would like to use an Excel file containing a list of products in a data lookup control to select the part.I know how to do it from an Microsoft List.To avoid having to manually convert my Excel file into a Microsoft list, can I do it directly from an Excel file that is in my SharePoint online?orCan I automate the upload of the content of the Excel file into a microsoft list or into a table?

I’m migrating workflows to the Automation Cloud, and no matter if I build the table in HTML or the WYSIWIG editor, Nintex constantly messes with the formatting.  It will move whole rows to the top of the table.  The screen shot below is how the table in the email should look.But if I have to go back into the workflow to make an edit for any reason - not even to the Send Email action this happens:The divider rows get converted to header rows - even if I toggle that setting off or call it out as <td> instead of <th> - and then get moved to the top.This defeats their purpose, which is to break up and organize the data.It makes quick edits painstaking.  I d

Does anyone know what the autocomplete option in the escalation section of a task form does? Does it autocomplete the task to move the workflow forward, if the assigned person doesnt complete it? 

Hello!I am trying to pull all attachments from a sharepoint list using the “Get item attachment by name” control. Now, my question is… will nintex be able to connect to a url as such to connect to the list? https://companyname-my.sharepoint.com/personal/joe_smith_company_com/Lists/Equipment%20tracker/AllItems.aspx I notice this list is located under a users personal location… now, they gave my admin acct access but I am not able to connect to that list. 

I find it rather annoying that there is no easy way of simply renaming a file without knowing the extension. Any thoughts on how to easily rename a file using the “rename a file” action? Maybe a regular expression that easily identifies the file extension at the end of the file name?

I have a workflow that starts with a Nintex Form.  The form allows for the uploading/attaching of supporting documents.  I am successfully writing the form data into a list library in SharePoint Online, but cannot seem to copy the attachments to a document library.  I get this error: Received an error response from the connector: BadRequest: [SP.GNR.ListItemsNotFound] Unable to find matching list items for the list 'ProclamationRequestAttachments'. (Correlation Id: 1b7d84c4-4519-4253-b9df-c8ae9389380f)The document library does exist, permissions are correct also.  I don’t think it is a SPO issue, but maybe I’m not capturing the attachments correctly.  Below is the workflow:

We are trying to replicate the N365 process of writing task info to a “task list”.  It’s nice that NAC stores tasks, but we have audited processes and need our task data stored locally on our site (like the previous versions of Nintex did it). in a SharePoint list, or task list.  We are using the “Get task” action, but are facing some issues trying to grab the relevant task form URL because it is way more than 255 characters.

Is there a way to either generate a csv file in Nintex Workflow or convert an excel file or anything that can be done. I would like ot use Nintex to generate and email a csv file on a schedule. 

I thought this would be a simple thing, but apparently it’s not. I have a Scheduled start workflow that is supposed to run daily to read a SharePoint list and find any items that contain a date six weeks (42 days) in the future. The workflow ran today and reported no results even though I know there is one item in the list that should have been found.The workflow uses an Add time to date function to calculate the future date: using the built-in Current date from the instance, it adds 42 days and provides a variable as a result (date format, not ISO 8601 text string). Then the workflow queries the list, using the conditions that the specific date column has value and matches the date variable.When I run this, it finds no results even though, as I said, there is one item in the list that meets the conditions. I am using a Label form control, which has recently updated. The old version had a field for both the link text and the link URL. However, the current version only has the URL, and when I use a variable for the URL, it doesn’t display correctly- it shows the URL and not the text I had highlighted to add the URL. I even tried using the source code version to put things in, but that gave me the same result. Any ideas?

Hi, There are a couple of threads of this subject, but they more relate to SharePoint.  In my case I have an NWC Start form, where I have a repeating Section control.  When I create a Task form, I need to display the rows of data from Repeating Section, and also make it editable. I was wondering whether there are any solutions or workarounds for this situation.

My workflow requires a start form to transfer the data to a SharePoint list when it is completed.  I have configured my SharePoint connection, and I can retrieve the list and add the fields to be configured.  I have inserted the corresponding start form variables in the update items configuration; however, I cannot configure the conditions action. How do I configure the conditions?  Do I need a separate condition for each field to be updated?

I need to filter the options of a child dropdown based on the selected value of a parent dropdown. In the backend, I have data tables that establish a relationship between the parent and child tables.Could you let me know if it is feasible to implement cascading dropdowns in a Nintex Workflow Cloud task form? If so, could you guide me on how to achieve this?

I have 5 page form with multuple questions and 3 file upload sections. If i run the form without uploading a file it’s fine. If i upload a file into any of the 3 areas it uploads the file but the form will nto submit. 

Hello, How can I make a workflow that is started as a Nintex Component Workflow appear in Workflow Tracking?I want to see the responses from an "Assign Task" in the form that is initiated as a Nintex Component Workflow. I already collect the responses in the database, but sometimes they ask me to download the form.  

We have recently gone live with Nintex Automation Cloud, and have a number of workflows running for a series of different business processes. Since we went live, we have been inundated with calls from our business teams, complaining that the My Tasks view in NAC, does not show any information that relates to the form data being processed, like a person’s name or the form ID, for example.Is there any means of customising the columns this view shows? 

Hi Team, I am developing workflows in NWC and we have many actions related creating list item, update item and query list etc. Each time Site URL is hardcoded under SharePoint Site URL. Is there a way we can save the URL in a variable and refer that variable wherever is needed. Or is there a way to get site URL from context. Please suggest the best practice. Thanks!
