Kryon IaaS - How to use itKnowledge shared by Oren This item will get you familiar with our IaaS Jenkins jobs, so you will be able to manage your own machines in our cloud, for example to test Ldaphelper, etc. In General:Here is the main link to all Jenkins IaaS Jobs:http://jenkins.kryonsystems.com:8080/job/IAAS/(you need to connect to VPN first). Our IaaS allows you to create and manage your own VMs in AWS (and also in Azure, but it is less used).(The below instructions refers to AWS machines only.) General notes:Each machine that you will create will be automatically shutdown on 20:00 Israel time, and will be terminated 48 hours after it was last shutdown.You can start it every day, and by that keep it alive.There are also two (new) jobs to “Don’t shutdown the machine at the next 20:00”, and “Don’t terminate the machine for the following X days”.Create of a new machine takes 20 minutes or so.When each job completes, you will receive an email with the IP of the machine and a user name

A customer asked how can we save the email messages locally?

Except using visual recognition which is opening the outlook then visually selecting the specific email, copying and pasting it to the respective folder, the following basic Vb-script can be used with the "Run Script" advanced command to save the messages as well as carry out more actions in a faster and smooth way. How did I investigate Admin and Seq are not working?Knowledge shared by Oren Wanted to share with you an issue I had with 19.5.1 installation, how I investigated, and what was the solution. So we installed today Wyndham server.Hosted on our AWS (separate network), outside domain, user password authentication, local DB.DNS name is defined as a global DNS record: WyndhamAWS1.KryonSystems.com . All Services are up and running.First symptom: Admin shows error on launch (same error like the Aerobase service is down).Second symptom: SEQ it not accessible through http:///Seq but it is accessible through http://localhost:5341 (internal port).So it feels like something is wrong with nginx, which is the front line for both SEQ and Aerobase. If nginx is down, Admin will behave like Aerobase is down.Checking: Nginx service is up and running.I tried to stop the nginx service, and run the nginx.exe manually, hopefully to get some exception information. Nothing. All is working.I get out from the serv

Error: The Admin Tool could not start. Check logs for more information.Knowledge shared by Oren In case you get the following error in Admin after reboot: The Admin Tool could not start. Check logs for more information. The reason is that the Kryon Services, mostly the Aerobase Services, are not started yet. All services are configured to "Delayed Automatic start" so you need to wait 2-3 minutes after reboot before you can use any Client, including Admin.

Generated MSI kits for Robot/Studio

 Knowledge shared by Oren The MSI files that are generated from the 19.5 RPA server installation process are not signed with Kryon Certificate .(why? Signing them during the installation will require embedding our certificate private key together with the installation kit…). That means that customers that has IT policy that prevents running non signed MSI files – will not be able to use these MSI as they are.Such customers will have several options:Sign these MSI files with customer certificate (this is not a SSL/TLS certificate type, it is a Code Sign certificate). Use the original EXE setup kits as usual, with the relevant CLI. Send Kryon the generated MSI files and we will sign them and return them back.

How to analyze "Authentication Gateway" service issues

 Knowledge shared by Oren If you happen to experience the “Authentication Gateway service” failed to start, first you need to understand this is the nginx service.  To analyze the issue, simple run the nginx from Command window:C:KryonIDPAerobaseDataNginx ginx.exe  In the above example it seems that the port 80 is not available. The command line:Netstat -aonWill show you the immediate suspect.If it is process ID 4, that means the system process, which is more difficult to understand which “Windows feature” is to blame, usually it is the IIS.

How to analyze "Authentication Service cannot start" issue

 Knowledge shared by Oren If you encounter with an issue that the Authentication Service cannot start, one way to find the root cause is running it in “Console mode” so you will see the error of the root cause and get a hint what is wrong. I will use some screenshots from Clinton’s issue report (part of testing 19.5.1), but it is the same for any future issue with Authentication Service. (Comment: “Authentication Service” is not the Aerobase service. It was developed by Kryon). In the example below it helped us understand that a wrong version of .net core is installed. Run the command:Dotnet Kryon.Infra.Authentication.Server.dll >> error.log

How to get Aerobase logs

 Knowledge shared by Oren You can to a case installation completed, but Aerobase service failed to start.to analyze – you need to get the Aerobase logs.Aerobase does NOT write to SEQ.It has its own textual files. They are located here:C:KryonIDPAerobaseLogsaerobase-serverlogs How to read them?I really don’t know ?It is an open source solution.What I am doing when I need to find a root cause in these logs is just using my common sense, opening the logs files, trying to look for some errors that will give me a hint.90% of the cases till today – some kind of “failed to connect to the DB”.In 19.5.1 we put a lot of effort to try and minimize the cases that the Aerobase’s DB connection “explodes” after the installation, and in v19.5.1 we “stop” it on the Installers UI phase.

The wizard could not be downloaded from the server due to a network problem. Please click either 'do It' or 'Guide Me' to try again?

Here are some things you didn't know about Dudi: He is from Rehovot, Israel, joined Kryon in July 2017, and the first version he ever installed was…5.4.1! How to reduce SEQ Memory Consumption

Hello Everyone, Lyubomir from the Kryon Support Team here, we would like to point out that recently we have received multiple queries in regards with Seq and how there are memory usage spikes. Here is how we were able to remedy this issue: 1. C:Installation FolderSeqDataSeq.json you should find: { "cache": {   "systemRamTarget": 0.9 }, 2. Changing the 0.9 to lets say, 0.2 or 0.3 will cause Seq to start dropping cache as soon as overall utilization on the machine passes 20 or 30%. 3. You can install more PD robots than your license allows you - for example if your license is for 10 PD robots, you can install it in all the departments users' machines and use the Discovery Robots tab in the Orchestrator to dynamically enable and disable the PD robots and decide which 10 PD robots you want to record at any given time

Finding Which User / Robot previously ran a process via either [Add Automation Task to Queue] or just normal runs.
