Hello,I have a workflow in place (nintex wf for O365) to break inheritance after an item is submitted. The workflow works perfect when I submit a form everything I need stripped is removed and groups and users that need to be reapplied are applied but when the next person submits a new form, users names and other groups get applied to my submission. I cannot for the life of me figure this out… help?!Below is my setup. “Run IF” control:Variable created to capture users names and groups: Update item permissions control:*note: this is just the setup of the first control you see in the WF above..
I have 2 choice options rendered as buttons on a responsive form that I would like to have the first choice option remove the value in the second option button if a specific value is chosen. I normally do this via the rules, but for some reason, the “Then” drop down on the rule only has the options of Disable, Hide and Invalidate. Is there another way of doing this on a responsive form?
I have a form with one global panel and 5 section panels. I use javascript hide / show method or css() to hide and display the panles. But there always be huge blank space. There is no control overlapping. Contols are set to auto resize. But the problem is persistent. I am wondering if I can use javascript to move the displayed panel up to the top.
We have a problem with flexi tasks in Nintex (5.2.4.10 latest version). It seems related to the december SP2019 CU. When a user wants to handle a task (which was already started before the CU, so with a running workflow). An error occurs. This is the ULS:Failed to retrieve form from workflow. Error: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: s. Stack trace: at System.IO.StringReader..ctor(String s) at Nintex.Workflow.WorkflowConfig2010.LoadWorkflowConfig(String configXml) at Nintex.Workflow.Forms.ControlTemplates.TaskForm.GetWorkflowConfig() at Nintex.Workflow.Forms.ControlTemplates.TaskForm.GetForm(String formKey, FormData formData, Boolean hasEnterpriseLicense) b8b68da0-cd82-0049-f307-c0152e223f98 Anybody an idea what the cause can be and how to resolve this? Thanks.
Good Day All, I have a Nintex form on our SharePoint that we use to take in training requests. When a user submits a form, a row is added to a list in our SharePoint. The form requires that the user adds an attachment (listing the names and email addresses for the trainees) to the form. However, some of the submissions do not show the attachment in the list. I have confirmed that the users are submitting the form with the attachment. However, the attachment does not appear on the list, and we have to go back to the user and requests that they send the attachment via email. What can I do to resolve this issue? Thanks, Nick
Hey everyone. I know that in the site settings you can set holidays for the Nintex settings. Nintex can use these dates to skip past them for task reminders. But what I am looking for is accessing these holiday dates directly in Workflow, or instance through a condition. Say I have a Date and Time variable var_Date, I would like to be able to have a condition that checks if var_Date occurs on a holiday or not. It seems very simple, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. Anyone have a clue how to do this in a simple way for Nintex on Sharepoint 2019?
What are design considerations to think about when using the “Pause For” action?Context: I have a single workflow that can have 10-15 instances running at a given time. This workflow has a pause of 60 minutes within a loop to check a list every hour. There is concern that this may be too frequent of a check against the list and that a longer delay should be used. I am a Site Collection Admin - not a Farm admin - so I have no idea what server resources are used at any given moment to support the workflows running at the same time. Do Nintex workflows get preserved on the server in RAM or on Disk? How would I know as an SCA the impact I have on server operations with a workflow that I create? What do I need to know about the “Pause For” action so I use it efficiently and with the least amount of resource use?
Hello!I have a sharepoint list where I need to break permission inheritance per item (every time a item or form) is submitted). When a user submits an item the workflow runs like below…Nintex O365 workflow is usedNintex O365 Forms (responsive) is usedThe current setup that I’ve applied is that the workflow will:have variable of the people that created, approved or requested the item. update item permissions: inherit or remove permissions = NO, next a security group will be applied with contribute rights update item permissions: inherit or remove permissions = NO, another security group will be applied with contribute rights update item permissions: inherit or remove permissions = NO, Created By, Approved By and Requested By will be reapplied to the item w/ contribute rights. update item permissions: inherit or remove permissions = NO, Group Name: Everyone except external users is completely removed. the rest are just logs to capture if this is actually applying or not. My issue is that
SharePoint Employee list that for each employee item contains a Supervisor Column that is a People Data type. Supervisors change. Looking to mass update workflow (SharePoint On-Prem) the Employee List when a New Supervisor is added to Supervisor List:input the old "[Former] Supervisor" and new "[New] Supervisor" into the New Supervisor List, then upon submit, which triggers a workflow to search in Employee List "Supervisor" = "old value" then update it with the "new value".So, in this Case… old “[Former] Supervisor” = Shultz, Marie and want to replace all instances of Shultz, Marie in Supervisor column with Williams, Christine (aka “[New] Supervisor”). I have tried to keep it simple with no luck: Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Hello!I’m creating a nintex form in sharepoint.im trying to combine multiple if statements to return a value if true. For example if value 1 equals true, value 2 equals true, and value 3 equals true, return “complete”. I’m having a hard time getting the formula to work.Either it returns nothing or sometime it only requires two of the values to be true to return complete.can someone explain proper way to combine multiple of statements?
Trying to create a mass update of a 35,000 item SharePoint list when a supervisor changes. However, I have learned that collecting the items in the list where the Supervisor = user name (people data type) does not work… it is actually filtering on the hidden SharePoint User Information List ID found in the site collection. So, I am looking for a Nintex workflow that to lookup the User Information List ID in this hidden list based on the user login name. so here is the link to the list: <site>/_catalogs/users/simple.aspx Any suggestions are welcomed!
Adding Forms to Sharepoint online. it seems the only for forms to work is to give the users edit rights to the entire site? Users have full edit rights to the list in question and can use the default sharepoint list form to submit new items. Installed forms in sharepoitn online - I can edit and publish the forms linked to the sharepoint list just fine. I can submit data just fine. However, users can not access the form, it just shows the loading nintex spinner and never loads. Users have read only rights to the site and permissions are broken up by list or access needs. If i give my test user full edit rights to the Site (already has full access tot eh list in question) the form then loads. I dont want to give users full edit rights to the site, but they should be able to enter form data to kick off a work flow
This job runs on both of our app servers but just sits at 0%This, of course, means that since its stuck running, the SharePoint Timer Service fails to recycle at its scheduled time...which causes other issues. What does this timer job do, and how can I get it to run properly?
Nintex WF History is ridiculously limited in terms of displaying large data elements such as all the items in a Collection on a single line (a stupid small 255 character limit). Is there any way (a file, a DB query, etc) that I can edit and where I can see the FULL logs?
REGEX Building - I need help/to learn how to build these patterns. For this project, I have a pdf in a doclib. Filename: 0000_2025-2025TypeofDoc.pdf. I need the Pattern to extract the 4 numbers at the beginning of the filename. [^/]{4} is what I have, which is either wrong or incomplete.
Hello Community,I am currently working with Nintex SharePoint 2019 and have encountered a challenge while integrating attachments into my workflow.I have successfully created a Nintex form for a SharePoint list, which includes a control for uploading attachments. Additionally, I have set up a Nintex flow utilizing the "Flexi Task" action to allow for task assignments and edits. My issue arises when attempting to display the attachments uploaded through the Nintex form within the "Edit Task With Nintex Form" step of the Flexi Task. I would like the assigned users to be able to view and, if necessary, download these attachments while editing the task.I have explored various options within Nintex but have not been able to find a straightforward way to incorporate this feature. Can anyone provide guidance or share any best practices on how to achieve this?Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!

Hello all, I am very new to Nintex workflow. I have a workflow here that is supposed to be triggered when the user has added some equipment. Upon adding equipment to the form, and submitting it, it will change the value of an InfoPath form field called 'EQStatus' from 'Status: To be Submitted by User' -> 'Status: Pending Approval'. I would like the workflow to only execute when the user has added a piece of equipment. I know that this can be done through conditional start. This is what I have created so far: The workflow does not seem to be executing when the user modifies the form after saving it. I would get a notification if it would come through.Any tips? Kind Regards,Devin

Hello,I always had a link to folder containing attachments to the element on form. The code is: Attachments (<a class="ms-rtestate-write" onclick="selectThis(this);" contenteditable="true" href="javascript:void(0);" link="true" reftext="folder" reflink="{ItemProperty:attachmentsFolder}" style="text-decoration: underline; color: blue;">folder</a>The link on the forms has a proper destination::file://server/sites/XX/YY/Lists/List/Attachments/22687Recently the link stopped to work. I use Google Chrome. The link cannot be opened directly from the form - no reaction.Using "open link in new tab" generates the empty page about:blank#blocked. If I copy and paste the same link into Windows Explorer (e.g. Windows + R) the folder is opened correctly. How to get the functionality to open Windows Explorer window, containing attachments back?Best Regards, Marek
I have a workflow that’s scheduled to run every day at 12PM. If I’m in the workflow designer and click ‘View History’ I can see that it runs every day at 12PM, but the task isn’t doing what it’s supposed to. If it’s started manually it does. Any idea what might be occurring here? How can I debug this?
