Failed to retrieve form from workflow with flexi task in running workflow

We have a problem with flexi tasks in Nintex (5.2.4.10 latest version). It seems related to the december SP2019 CU. When a user wants to handle a task (which was already started before the CU, so with a running workflow). An error occurs. This is the ULS:

Failed to retrieve form from workflow. Error: Value cannot be null.  Parameter name: s. Stack trace:    at System.IO.StringReader..ctor(String s)     at Nintex.Workflow.WorkflowConfig2010.LoadWorkflowConfig(String configXml)     at Nintex.Workflow.Forms.ControlTemplates.TaskForm.GetWorkflowConfig()     at Nintex.Workflow.Forms.ControlTemplates.TaskForm.GetForm(String formKey, FormData formData, Boolean hasEnterpriseLicense)    b8b68da0-cd82-0049-f307-c0152e223f98
 

Anybody an idea what the cause can be and how to resolve this? Thanks.

We have the same error message in the logs; was your issue resolved and what was the solution?

We no longer have this issue. I think it was in the end on our side related to the use of Chrome vs Edge:
https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sharepoint/sharepoint-2016-server-mquery-js-event-deprecation/m-p/3947764. We had problems by using SP 2019 with Nintex forms/workflows on Chrome for these flexitask and these problems did not occur with Edge.

Also the problems seems to be related to high cpu/memory use of our sharepoint search service, that was lowered down on our side.
