I created a nintex form with Sharepoint 2013. The form hides and showes two sheets based on selecting - Sheet One / Sheet Two. Within each sheet, there are two required fields that must be enter to submit the form. I tried to apply rule on the field:  isNullOrEmpty({Self}) && Selection == "Sheet One", but it does not work. even I just apply isNullOrEmpty({Self}) rule on the field, it does not stop the submission when I do not enter anything in the field. Anyone know why? how to do it?  I also tried to set fields as " required" in Sharepoint list column, but they stop submission when selected Sheet One and filled all required fields within Sheet One since Sheet Two has required fields, but they are not needed to fill in when select Sheet One.Â
This post is a continuation of this one. I am using an Assign to-do task action. I don't have the luxury of using and editing a delegation form/page/URL (but if I do, please let me know). Instead, I accomplish delegation by changing the Assigned To field (with a form that either I or original assignee Albert can edit). The delegation goes perfectly—Albert has his task removed, delegate Bianca inherits it, and Bianca also gets a notification. Bianca's notification is the same as Albert's (when he initially received the task), and there is text appended to the bottom. Below is a screenshot of this text, from the perspective of Bianca. My question is how do I view and edit this text?
This post is a continuation of this one. My problem is setting the default value of a People control on a form. For example, I type in my email in the Default value setting of the People control in question. When I preview the form, sure enough my user identity populates that control as the default. However, outside of a preview context—when I open the form in response to its task—there is no default value prepopulating the control. This problem holds true for: Nintex Forms 2013 on a list When using an email, display name, or a login ID in the Default value setting, Firefox Quantum 60.8.0esr, Internet Explorer 11.3143.14393.0, and Google Chrome 70.0.3538.102
Hi Everyone I need some help. Background I created a list where employees can submit requests for generation of a specific letter addressed to an organisation for any purpose. In my form, I have a dropdown list that encompass the most frequently used Addressee (organisations and companies these letters would be addressed to). As I cannot encomass all the known organisations and companies names in a dropdown list, i also enables fill-in choices.  However, I cannot generate generic letters "to whom it may concern". However because the field in my nintex form has a fill-in choice, employees are able to key in to whom it may concern.  I tried using runtime formulas like inarray and contain to invalidate the field but it does not seem to work.  Can anyone please advise me on how to validate a dropdown list with fill-in choice enabled. (It would also have to be not sensitive to capitalization and also be able to validate if it partially contains or is similar to 'to whom it may concer

Hi together, Â I have a problem in Nintex Workflows 2013 when I use "Set condition" action with more than one condition. Â Config Action -> Set condition Condition 1: If the current item field "department" equals the value "IT" OR Condition 2:Â If the current item field "department" equals the value "Projectmanagement" Â The error in the Workflow Designer (Something went wrong ...) This is in SharePoint/Nintex 2013 and Nintex and SharePoint are both up to date. Â We have a user working on an existing workflow and when she tries to add a Run If action with multiple condition, the first condition "where" parameter is vanishing and it's not letting her save the workflow and is throwing an error. I have asked her to try and use Set a Condition and the results are the same. Has anyone ever seen this issue?
Hi,  I have build a template docx document where I included a repeating section on a table row.Using the Update document control in Nintex workflows I have no idea how I can setup this control to trigger a new section. I've tried using collections and pushing values to the title of the repeating section control but none works.Collections are writing the array values as rich txt in the related column ; seperated so no new rows are triggered from that.  Can anyone guide me towards a solution of how I can setup the workflow update document control in order to pass the related values (3 columns) to each row? Please note that the number of rows are dynamic. So currently a collection is containing the number of values for each row depending on how many fields are entered on the form.
Hi all, Â i have an issue with dropdown list i use in my form. When i click the dropdown, the list will come down directly under the field. (Original Pict) but if i scroll down/ scroll up/ scroll left/ scroll right/ zoom in / zoom out, etc, the dropdown will be remain still in that position, hence it looks like 'flying'. (After Scroll Down Pict). Can someone help me with this? thank you. Â Â originalafter scroll down There is suggestion to use the AppendTo feature but i have no idea where to put. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â var uniqueArrayList = uniqueArray(list);Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â var textbox = NWF$("#" + tbUsrResponIns);Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â textbox.autocomplete({}).bind('focus', function() {Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â textbox.autocomplete("search");Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â }); Where to put the AppendTo property if the condition is as above? uniqueArrayList is the dropdown data coming from SAP. thank you.
Hi AllWe have an application in development at the moment. We are using powershell scripts to create the lists as this application may be deployed in multiple places. A change was needed to a list so we deleted and recreated the list with the script, but I forgot (doh!) that I had developed two quite meaty workflows on the list before it was deleted.Does anyone know if there is a way to get them back? where do they go? are they gone forever? Do I need to start all over again? Thanks in advance, a very hopeful Cassy
Greetings, This is for SharePoint Server 2016. There have been posts that allege to address this, but they are way more complicated than I need. I created a button (input class="bigRedButton" onclick="startMyWorkflow()" type="Button"). I have a simple site workflow that does stuff. I need a javascript function that, when a user presses the big, red button, will start the workflow. That's all. Please do not include functions that are designed to work in SharePoint Online, because they won't work on prem.
Hi,I don't see any option in the user task wizard to set due date for the task. Task gets created but it shows up with the blank due date which is unacceptable - if the user see task assigned to him, he has to know when it is due. Am I missing something? Thank you.Â
My users are requesting that I be able to set a due date on each task assignment based on the date being collected prior to workflow initiation. To this point it seems to me that the only date-like setting I can find is the "Expected Duration". It seems to me though that this is a setting that has to be provided at design time and not at run time. Is anyone aware of a way to represent this type of behavior on K2 tasks? Thanks in advance for any help.Jason
I have a Nintex Form with a few validation rules associated to controls (i.e., if this field is not blank then that field is required, etc.) When I publish it one of two things happens - either the rules will run as expected and the fields will highlight in a red box but then suddenly the form will close or the rules don't run at all and the form closes. I have searched the Nintex site for clues but have come up empty.Any ideas or help is much appreciated.
So I have (tried) to create a workflow that will create an ics. file and send that as an email attachement... I get an error that says 'Failed to query list data. The '=' character, hexadecimal value 0x3D, cannot be included in a name. Line 1, position 153.'Â But I cant find the referenced line 1 position 153.... Does anyone have a simpler way to send a notification that can input a calendar event from a sharepoint calendar into an outlook calendar? Â Note: I do not have an action called 'create appointment' and I am running sharepoint 2010. Â TIAÂ
I have a workflow that has progressed to a stage where it is supposed to break out of a loop by way of changing a boolean workflow variable (which not connected to any field) to True. Â For some reason doesn't want to proceed to change the boolean variable value even though the conditions have been fulfilled. Â Is there any way I can change this variable using, say, a site workflow so the workflow can resume? Â
Hi, Â I've a repeating section and in that I've added a people group control. In the PG setting, I did selected NO for multiple selections. But it seems it will only work if it's connected to a column. Â I would like to avoid JavaScript if possible but any suggestions are welcome. Â Thanks.
Hi community! I'm a new user to Nintex Workflows in SharePoint 2013. I'm creating a workflow for renaming documents based on some of its properties. But I can't seem to go further than step 1, the first two characters of the document name will be based on its document type, for example: If the user when uplaoding the docuemnt to the library selects "Approval Checklist" as the Document Type then the two first letters of the file name will be "AC". Currently I'm just testing, and I use a Build String and a Update Item in the workflow designer, inside the Build String I put something like: =if({ItemProperty:DocumentType}="Approval Checklist","AC","null") And then the Update Item is supposed to change the current's item Name field to a Workflow variable where the value from the Build String block is saved. Is it possibel to use this kind of syntax inside Build String? Or what should I do?
Is there a configuration setting to change the Lazy Approval Token in the email subject from alpha characters to numbers only? I encountered a situation in which the alpha character token generated contained an offensive word.
Hi there I would like a list workflow to launch a list form (form of a different content type), is this possible? Ideally, I'd like to be able to pass a workflow variable to the form, or have the form pick up a list item that is generated by the 1st workflow and updated in the list item. Â Any ideas? Thanks!!
Simple implementation of the Muhimbi PDF converter, this take in a FILE that is a word docx and returns a PDF of the document with the same name. filename.docx = filename.pdf
The Problem:I have some Test Workflows running which should be ended (manually) by now. The element created by the workflow was deleted so I get the following error report:"soap:ServerServer was unable to process request. ---> The element is not available." Is there a way to delete the running Workflow without the list element it refers to?thanks tristan

OK so I think my issue is one I have not seen on here yet. Basically I have Nintex pulling a list of software from jquery form. I scrub all of the noise, line break and add brackets so basically you get a neat vertical list of software with checkboxes to be printed out. I next take that software place it into another list (the column is plain text) and have another workflow send an email to the user. In the body of that email the software list is again nice and vertical (minus the brackets I scrub those out) and in the body of that email I have a hyperlink that opens to another email with To field, Subject and, Body prepopulated. The first two are fine the body has my nice list of software and is jumbled with <BR /> breaks throughout. The variable I'm using is what looks very nice and linear in my first email. Why are the breaks happening in the second and is there a way to scrub that noise? Below is the text I use in my "new email" hyperlink:mailto:{WorkflowVariable:VAR_Email}?s
Hello,  I created Custom Inline Functions as per the SDK documentation and provided templates.  The functions appear in the workflow editor, however I get an error at running time : "Erreur lors de la construction de la chaîne. Erreur lors de l’exécution de la fonction inline (fn-FormatDateWithCulture)."  Also, in the "Run Now" window, I get the following error : "Error executing inline (fn-FormatDateWithCulture) function. Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation."  Is there any way to get more detail about this error ?  For information, my function has been unit tested in Visual Studio and works properly.  Thanks in advance. Best regards
