Delegated Access to Customer Central for Partners

TopicPartner accessing their customer's Nintex Customer Central.InstructionsPartners are not able to access a customer's Nintex Customer Central directly unless provided a specific email with the company domain. The prefered method is as follows: For your Partner to be granted access to Customer Central, please have the Customer Central Admin take the following steps:1. Sign into https://customer.nintex.com2. Select Contacts from the left-hand navigation menu.3. Select the Add Contact button on the right-hand side of the page.4. Select Delegated User from the Role menu. Delegated Contact icon: Note: If your Partner is not listed in the step below (5), please reach out to your Account Manager to get them associated as an active partner.5. We know that form designers are always looking for ways to improve the experience of form participants. Form designers want to increase the likelihood that their forms get filled out, both quickly and accurately, and that their workflows get adopted by the business. To help in this regard, we have taken your feedback and added functionality to be able to bind third-party data to a new control in NWC forms, the Data Lookup Control. This control will help form designers by: Reducing required manual data entry into a form​ Improving data accuracy and reduce the risk of bad data​ Reducing time to complete forms​ Improving participant experience and increase the number of forms filled out Now creating a data-bound drop down is as simple as configuring a data source in the dashboard and selecting that data source it in the options available of the Data Lookup Control.  We currently have support to be able to create data sources from SharePoint, Azure Active Directory, and any custom connecto

Slow Down To Speed Up w/ Logs

So… You have a complicated process to automate. You are going to start building it. Oh… You already built the whole thing? Did you test it? It got an error? Why is it broken? You don’t know why? Did you use a log action? You don’t know what a log action is? YOU came to the right place… Before we get too far lets talk about best practice. If possible with any sized project you want to test as you build. This way you know when something works and upon adding something it breaks… you know what caused it. The below information will still apply to this scenario but its always good to test more often then not at all. Where testing often doesn’t work is when the project is already built and now you are trying to reverse engineer where its stuck or why its stuck. Pop in a Log action…  The “Log to instance details” action will allow you to see during and after a test run what values ‘variable-wise’ are going into your workflow. Prevent Duplicate Entries in a SharePoint list using Nintex Forms

 Hello everyone,  Thanks to Palesa Sikwane‌'s endless nagging but most importantly his ability to always help me, I finally decided to get to it, this is my first time writing a blog post.  Thanks Palesa Sikwane‌  Did you ever have a request where by a user can't submit duplicate entries to a SharePoint list? Well I did, given that the out of the box survey solution on SharePoint wasn’t going to help me much.Users have to complete a survey and attach a document if necessary. Enforce submission only once

This question has been raised many times in the forum and I was eager to find a solution with NF.How can you allow the users to submit only once. I had this working in the InfoPath but did not get any success on Nintex Form (probably messing up a very basic lookup).Here are the steps to create a form which can be submitted only once by the users.1. Create a list and add an additional column:     a. UserName - single line text.2. Edit the form with Nintex.3. Add 2 panels on the form. In the first panel add the form fields that you want the user to enter. In the second Panel add the text - "You have already submitted the form once" - bold.4. Change the configuration of UserName field as below:     This way you are saving the value of the current user in the uppercase. You can hide this field in the form is you want.5. Add a calculated value control (I called it GetName). Enter the formula as shown below:     lookup("<ListName>","UserName",toUpper(Current User),"UserName")

Create Parent/Child items using this Nintex forms/workflow with this trick

Have you ever had a problem that you knew was possible, you've seen it before, or you just know that the fundamentals of the problem should be solvable.  We I will admit that I had one that stumped me for over two weeks. I was talking to a friend of mine about using Parent/Child List items and how to automatically tie them together and create them within one form.  Without hesitation, I was like, "Sure that should be simple, just input information into one form, then use a workflow to sift through (loop) and create child items from the one list."  Note to self: Do not commit to a solution before writing it out! Honestly that sounded really simple in theory and should have been, but when I started down the reality path of developing the solution, it became a real brainteaser.  I thought about using InfoPath, SharePoint, and Nintex Forms, but each time I got stumped at how to exactly get the child items into the list in the first place.   After spending several hours looking through this

Time To Replicate

Everyone has a different data model in Salesforce. But there are common elements to every use case no matter how complicated. You have Objects, Fields & Reports. This means when you want to create dynamic documents out of Salesforce data you need to dynamically replicate it on the page. Sometimes there are 3 records sometimes there are 40 Related. Displaying Repeating Section Data in List Views, The Easy Way!

Introduction Repeating sections are very powerful if you want to create 1 to many relationships within your Nintex Forms. However, they come with some caveats when you need to parse, use and display the data stored within them. This blog post introduces you to the Repeating Section Control, explains the parsing issue in depth and explains some existing solutions that was created earlier by the Nintex community. Build a Better Nintex Workflow "Assign To-Do Task" Form

The “User Interaction” category of workflow actions in Nintex Workflow provides extremely useful functionality for human interaction with workflows.  These actions handle assigning tasks, prompting for information, and sending alerts to users. The “Assign To-Do task” workflow action assigns a workflow task and sends a notification to one or more users to complete.  The task assignee must perform the task and mark it as complete via a workflow task form before the workflow can continue.  The action configuration allows workflow designers to use an existing or create a new content type that inherits from the “Workflow Task” parent content type. The workflow task form that is generated for the “Assign To-Do Task” action uses the default SharePoint workflow task form, even if you create a new content type via the Nintex user interface. In order to complete the task, a user must change the Status field to “Completed” (see the images below).  My experience so far is this process is not very

Collect task attachments in list item and show all attachments in next task

The first time I worked with attachments in a workflow, I ask where are the attachments stored and how can I show all attachments in the following workflow tasks to give an approver the possibility to read the attachments. I have attached an NINTEX 2013 example site workflow using NINTEX Forms 2013. A prerequisite is the installation of the Get List Item Attachment in Base64 Custom Action from Vadim Tabakman‌ (see http://www.vadimtabakman.com/nintex-workflow-get-list-item-attachment-in-base64-custom-action-happy-thanksgiving.aspx). In the first Flexi Task you can add multiple attachments. The task IDs are stored in the workflow variable task_ids This attachments are stored in the task items of the Flexi Task.If the Flexi Task is approved an item is created in a data list. To copy the attachments from the task item(s) to the list item the following steps have to be executed in a loop for each task ID:Call web service Lists.asmx with method GetAttachmentCollection to get the URLs of all
