Hi everyone. Today we are going to discuss integration between Skuid & K2!We are combining Skuid’s powerful front-end customization with K2’s robust process automation & data management capabilities together. To digest this information easier I wanted to create a 3 part video series on how you can achieve this integration. The first video I am releasing today describes how the integration works and provides a demonstration of the two platforms working together.Further videos will be released in the coming weeks, so make sure to check back here and subscribe to stay updated!I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Andy Hayes, Chris Stern, Sam Alexander, and Jason Roberts for their help on this project. If you have any questions please feel free to reply to this topic or email me at connor.wells@nintex.comPart one:Part Two: Configuring SmartObject API: Skuid and K2 IntegrationFor part two we're diving into the configuration and integration of K2's SmartObjects with Skuid. I have this happen occasionally.I have an action that calls another workflow. At the moment it is saying it is “Unconfigured”Everything looks good. If I Test with Workflow Testing, both workflows work perfectly. It will not let me publish because it is “Unconfigured.” In the past the only way I have solved it is to recreate the “Call a Workflow” action and it works even thought the same variables are used.It doesn't say anywhere what is unconfigured and everything looks right. I don’t really want to rebuild this as there are about two dozen variables sent over.
Today I’m having difficulty in merging documents into one PDF. We aren’t looking to generate a document using the tagger feature. So it should essentially loop through images (.png or .jpg) or pdf files (already in pdf) and make them one combined PDF. It’s pretty straightforward. However, I’m receiving the following error: I noticed there was an old article recommending removing special characters. Doc Generation - An error occurred downloading a file... | Community (nintex.com) I have removed special characters or ones I thought may be restricted for this action anyways which where parenthesis. “()” have been removed from all files before uploading since we can’t rename list item attachments within workflow designer. It didn’t work. My list item attachments are as followed: What am I missing? Why will these not convert to PDF? Also, which special characters are prohibited for this action? There is no help documentation that covers this! I would think acceptable characters would alig
Is there a way to mass-change one Process Expert (who longer works at company) to another Nintex user/Process Expert? In other words, for any process where name-of-user-who-left is listed as the Process Expert, are we able to change the Process Expert in ONE PLACE and ALL processes who have this “old” Expert listed will be updated to the new Process Expert/user?Thank you in advance for any insights you may have!

Hi there, I have an issue with getting updated workflow variable values to apply to different branches within a run parallel paths action. My workflow variable is set to Go, and in branch #1 later changes to Stop (labelled “a” in snips, step 51 in workflow testing) if certain conditions are met, but this updated status does not apply to temporally subsequent actions in the second branch. The workflow variable in branch #2 only has the initial Go status at the log an instance and conditional branch (labelled “b” in snips, step 63 in workflow testing). We can see that WF_Reminder_Status = Stop at 8:49 AM (step 52) and = Go at 8:50 AM (step 62) without being further updated.. As a result, Reminder emails are incorrectly being sent. I have increased the “Pause by” durations, it makes no difference. Is there any way to get the workflow variables to be updated across the workflow/get the two branches to “talk” to each other? Otherwise they should just call them branch variables, if they are
In my tenant, we have user reported that seeing forms under My Nintex > Submit a form screen. We checked the form access level to make sure the user not part of access group. But the user still reports seeing number of forms. This is only known happy to one specific user, it doesn’t happen to other users. How can we trouble shoot the issue? Thanks.
I have a use case where we must include a QR code in receipts generated for tax payers. The app has been built in SharePoint 2019. I see NWC has a QR code generator, but (as far as I can tell), there is no way to get the QR code image or, alternatively, the generated receipt into SharePoint 2019 from NWC. I tried the below REST API but it requires the contents of the file be converted to binary I believe. Anyone who can help me out will be a life saver. https://[[server]]/sites/[[site]]/_api/web/GetFolderByServerRelativeUrl('[[folder sever relative URL]]')/files/add(url='[[file name with extension]]',overwrite=true)
Hi there,I am new to NAC and need a bit of help. I created a workflow that takes the data from one multi-text field called ‘Updates and Tracking Notes’ and moves it over to another field called ‘Total Updates and Tracking Notes” along with the name of the user(modified by) and the date and time of the entry(modified)Anyway the workflow is working, however, it is not only updating the one record in the list but ALL records in the list. How do I isolate so that only the record that the user updated is updated and not all of the records? am i somehow creating a loop? i just dont know where and how.WF-Run If Field ‘updates and tracking notes’ is not emptySet workflow VariableBuild String
Hi everyone, welcome to the Nintex Community! We made it! This post has tips for getting started: To report a post that’s outdated or a link that’s broken, send a message to nintex.community@nintex.com. A few housekeeping items: Posts migrated from the old Skuid Community were added July 8-12, 2024. They came in roughly in age order, with the oldest posts first and the newest posts near the top. If you posted during this time, your post might have been buried, so feel free to reply on that post to “bump it up” to the top. During the migration period, you may have gotten multiple automated emails encouraging you to select the best answer to your old questions. Do it! This makes it easier for others to find the answer. Access your groups here: https://community.nintex.com/groups. If you can’t find one of your previous groups, email nintex.community@nintex.com with the name of the group and we’ll get it sorted. Links within legacy forum posts to other posts no longer work. We
Can we create SMO for OData similar as K2 REST API Task to get users tasks
Hi all, Document generation is such a simple yet valuable method of getting quick wins on your automation journey. You are saving your users a bunch of time putting repeatable documents together and you're also reducing errors. This article takes you through the process from start to finish and we'll use a combination of information gathered from a form and data stored in Nintex Tables to populate the document. Imagine a scenario where you are a council and you want to provide a service where customers can run a search of public spaces available for hire for weddings etc. The output will be a nice one pager with a summary of their request and a list of the spaces in the area they have chosen. The person making the enquiry fills out a form similar to this one: This blog won't cover how to make this form - have a search in this Community or the help documentation if you need help with that. The thing to keep in mind is that we'll be putting some of these values into the generated docu
Hi Is there a way to generate a report that shows the count of how many times a certain Minimode link has been viewed?Cheers!
Is there a version history limit in NAC? We are missing versions on a workflow that we actually need back - version that was in production - and it stops at version 32. I logged a ticket, but stumped because nothing in limits or version history help documentation mentions anything about version history limitations. Please advise, we are in panic mode, as we cannot revert back to production version.

Can someone please confirm how the retention works in Nintex Automation Cloud for the following components/sections of NAC? Tasks for a user (My Nintex) Workflow tracking for business owners (My Nintex) Instance data (Automate) Tasks data (Automate)Note: I have looked and looked and cannot find help documentation on this. Did I overlook this somewhere? We need to know for audit purposes, we have customers asking us about it. Thanks!
I have a document library in SharePoint and want to query documents metadata by a SmartObject event in a workflow. When using SmartObject Services Tester tool I am able to execute the “Get Documents Metadata” method and add a custom filter. This configuration returns the desired documents metadata. Now I want to configure this SmartObject call in Designer in a workflow event. But I really have no idea, how to apply the custom filter in Designer. Thank you.
