I am using a Request Approval WF action to send an approval request to a coworker.  I would also like to CC another employee in the same email and have them be able to only view the task form.  I understand they will not be able to approve/deny the request, but I am wondering if it possible for them to be able to view the task form with everything disabled (as usual).

After the CC'd employee gets the email, they try to click on the task link and are sent to this:

Note: The main approver is able to see and approve the task, but the CC'd employee can't view it at the least.

I know that the "You are not authorized to approve this item" verbiage is at the top of the task form when it is anyone but the approver viewing it, but it's showing up here before the CC'd employee even gets to it.

Any input helps!

having the exact same issue, will reply here if I find a solution

I haven’t tested this but Task lists are lists like any other Sharepoint list. There are some unique things about them but nothing too outstanding. Can you use a “Set item permissions” action in your workflow, look for the task in the task list, and give whoever is the CC’d person Reading permissions? You should be able to use the task id to find the task, when you assign a flexi-task you can store the task-ID in a variable to use in the “Set item permissions” action.
