Nintex Workflow

I am attempting to create an item into our onPrem Sharepoint (2016) from Workflow cloud.  I have the connector up an running and I can see all the lists within the site.  However, I am unable to see the various site columns (other than title) within the particular site I wish to create an item.  The "Add Field" button does not allow me to choose the site columns.  I've checked other lists within this site and I can choose list columns.  Is there something I need to setup within the list? Maybe some permission level I am missing?  I've looked at the various lists that I am able to select columns, and I cannot seem to find a difference.  Any help here would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I would like to create a tracking number for each workflow submitted (Form Summitted) that is logged into multiple SharePoint lists with different field information. Any ideas on how to accomplish this.

Hi all, I've created several NWCs that connect to a Salesforce sandbox and eventually need to promote these NWCs up to higher sandboxes, and then production. What is the best way to do this? Do I need to go through each Salesforce action and update the connection to the new sandbox, or is there a way to do this en masse? It would be tedious and error-prone if I have to update each action with the new connection. 

Hi,   Just ran into a small issue that i am trying to figure out.  I have a workflow with a form component, which then sends an email. The form itself has a date field to capture a dob, but when i pull this field into the email it then appears to change timezone when the email is received ie I am in NZ time, but it appears to change to UTC.  From checking the settings in Nintex, it mentions that the default timezone is picked up from the user browser, but the browser shows the correct timezone so i am a bit puzzled about where or why it is changing.  Are there any suggestions out there? I can manually add the format date to string action to change it back to what it should be, but reluctant to add an extra step in every workflow for something that should be simple.   Many thanks in advance     

I am looking for a way to produce a workflow which puts users into groups (group A, group B) so that when group A is viewing the list, they have access to all entries of said list. While when a user from group B is viewing the list, the list will only show items which have been recorded within the last 30 days.   I have looked everywhere for a fix but mostly have been for an older version of Nintex. I am pretty new to Workflow so if this is an easy solution please be mindful 🙂

Hi,I am trying to design a simple form, where we type a number and it looks up that data in a stored procedure located in SQL. The place where I am having difficulty understanding is:When adding that variable from the Form and trying to take it and enter it in Stored Procedure, the value does not show up and leaves an empty {{}}I am trying to do this in two pages of the form, where one place they enter the data and the other it shows it, the procedure works as I have tested it on SQL - the char is a nvarchar in SQL. Maybe I need to convert it, but unable to configure that functionality, if anyone knows how to perform this task. Please let me know as I have been having

The NWC WF action 'Pause for duration' takes a number and unit value of time to pause, and the number will accept decimals. So, 0.5 Minutes is a valid setting, but I've read on the O365, SharePoint WFs this the minimum is actually 5 min - unless you do some facy work with PowerShell.  So I've read the help docs and this doesn't provide an answer. Does anyone know if pauses for <5 minutes are possible with this WF Action in NWC?

Hello,How do I clear or remove all unused variables from a Nintex Workflow? I declared several variables thinking I would use them but really don't need them now. I don't want to go through the laborious task of identifying and deleting the variables one by one manually... Does Nintex Workflow have the intelligence to identify and remove all unused variables through a command or some sort of action? Thanks and regards,Smita

Hi all   I am looking for extract the comments in an Express approval task in NWC. Normally in express approval, you just need to reply to the e-mail with the outcome of the task, then optionally you can include comments by adding  comma after the outcome, then typing in the comments you wish to add. eg: Approved, my comments here How do you extract these comments to use later?

Hi everyone   I want to use a Sharepoint Online group in the Assign a Task action. Is this possible? I only have the option to select a user from AAD.   Regards Kirk 

I created a Scheduled Start workflow that will run weekly. One thing it will do is to query a SharePoint list, looking for certain data in the list items. Then it will loop through the results N times (where N = number of results found in the query) to perform certain actions. I'm using the Loop N times action because I anticipate that there may be more than 250 iterations of the loop (which is of course a limitation of the Loop for each action). As I was creating this, I noticed that as soon as I saved the workflow, the Loop N times action disappeared from the menu. It was there until I saved it. Fortunately I had already added the action to my workflow before saving, so it was still there. But if I had wanted to click and drag another such action to the workflow, I wouldn't have been able to. Is this expected behavior? Is anyone else seeing this?

We setup a data lookup field that using active directory to populate a list of individuals in our organization by position. We have it setup however it will only allow us to pull back emails not a list of name. Is it possible to have it pull back names?  

Hi @butlerj First piece of feedback on the data source variable in the NWC form. I created an Azure AD data source to use in a label.I'm trying to get the Job Title and Department attributes of the current user context.The Azure AD data source query works as I can add to the label control the count of items returned (being 1) and the first value but it only returns the user email. In the Insert popup I was expecting where it has 'first record' for an object to break out with the attributes of the user account. Am I missing anything on making this work? Thanks,Gavin 

I have a control list with a checkbox list called "Stage": 1a.  1b.  2a.  2b.  2c.  3a.  3b.  3c.  3d.  3e.  4a.  4b.  5a.  5b.  5c.I created a dropdown/radio field above the list I mentioned called "Decision" and want a specific value out of the five possible values to hide steps 2a. to 4a. So far, the rule I created would just hide the steps completely instead of showing 1a., 1b., 4b., 5a., 5b., and 5c. for the specified value I want. Is this something even possible to do? Hi there to anyone reading who may be able to help. I have a form - lets call it 'Form A' - that contains quite a lot of fields (there are 7 pages to this form). Employee 1 submits this form, which needs to be reviewed and approved by their superior (employee 2). The problem is, with Express approval, employee 2 gets an email saying 'approve' or 'reject', but there is no way to view Form A. If I include Form A's URL in the email body, this doesn't work as the link tries to resolves to  http://tf_5cc128c4b09d4683af7740c7c1c04362_form_url/  which is just a broken link, I guess because we've moved on from that step in the workflow.  So, unless I'm mistaken, express Approval would require me to present all the data from Form A in the approval email via variables, which would be pretty awful, because, like I said, there are 7 pages to this form with up to 10 fields per page, and I'd need t

I am trying to take a collection results and replace comma separated with line or paragraph breaks. So far, I have converted it to a text string and now I am trying to apply a regular expression or modify string to get my desired results. I don't know the replacement text or substring to use to perform a line or paragraph break. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Can anyone explain to me what the difference is between Row, Table, or Section when adding repeating data to a Doc Gen action? Repeating sections are repeating sections, so I don't follow what the difference is in output to the document. I added one by table and one by row, and there's no difference in the tags.

Dear All, I would like to know if we can find out the all tasks based on instance (similar to Nintex for office 365). We can find all associated tasks in NO365 if we go to the workflow details page. I am missing this option in NWC as this is very important when you want to do troubleshooting of workflow. Even instance filter option is not available in task page from the UI. Also I tried the APIs provided by NWC but i don't see the instance id/name property in the object properties of task. RegardsAnkur

Is there a way to format the Yes/No tag so that it is displaying "Yes" or a tick... or a ticked yes box instead of 'true'.

Hello,I am just getting started with NWC and have created a connection and data source to our companies Azure AD. I am able to successfully retrieve data but now have some questions to get it to work for my use case.I am attempting to add a "People Picker" on a form that will return the Display Names for members of a specific AD group.Question 1: In the configuration of the Data Lookup control on my NWC form, I only see "emails" as the option for Option Label and Option Value. Because of that, it will only display the users email addresses in the lookup control. How can I get it to display names instead of emails?Question 2: When trying to filter the retrieved list of users by adding a condition, I see very limited attributes and no "member of" option. How would I be able to filter the dataset by users belonging to a specific group?Thanks for the help!@rhia  

Hi community, I've spend hours trying to fix and issue that is either a Nintex bug or just illogical. I'm sing NWC. In the Generate Document action I've created an image, using a URL as the access method. The image is absolutely accessible to anyone on the web. I've tried putting the image in Dropbox, OneDrive and in the image folder of an website. If I login to an incognito window in Chrome they all display fine, but all fail in Nintex. I open the document tagger, copy the tag, and paste into my word doc. But the program keeps crapping out when trying to insert it. Although the error message is as useless a flyscreen on a submarine, I know it's the image insertion that's causing the problem because if I remove that tag, it works just fine. I've attached some screenshots and any help would be really appreciated.To anyone from Nintex reading this, it would be really useful if you had some error messages that were act

HiI have a NWC workflow that is attempting to bring back URLs that are in a rich text multi line field in sharepoint o365. Rather than bringing back https://<domain>.sharepoint.com/....it brings back:https://gbo-app-znc.nintex.io/...Does this have something to do with whitelisting or is it something else?
