 Especially in the domain of contact centers, today's consumers demand quality service. Here are a few examples of what we mean and how RPA can help:  -88% of customers won't wait more than 5 minutes for service-72% expect customer service reps to already know what they have purchased-67% admit to having higher standards for customer experience than ever before.  So what can RPA do to help ensure a better customer experience while saving businesses the time and stress involved? Objective of this project is to ask vendors and partners fill out a form with their company details. This information needs to be saved in SharePoint for internal team to look over and process further. The supplementary documents uploaded with this form also needs to be available internally. The attachment control in NWC form uploads all the files to Default file storage. The available locations for default storage is Dropbox for Business, Box, Citrix ShareFile, Google Drive and MS OneDrive for Business. Files cannot be saved directly into SharePoint (as of now). For this example, I am utilizing MS OneDrive for business to store the files. Here is what my workflow looks like:The first step in the workflow is to create the item in the SharePoint list using the information submitting in the form. This blog describes how to enable "Document Generation" feature on SharePoint 2013 on-premise server.Prerequisites: Nintex Live is installed and running on your farm.Go to Central Administration > Nintex Workflow Management > Nintex Live and external Settings Click on "Enable" next to "Enable prerequisite service" on top. Under Nintex Live heading, click on "Activate" next to "Document Generation capability" feature.The above steps makes the "Document Generation" feature start and running.Now, you have to add "Document Generation" workflow action to allowed workflow actions on your farm.Go to Nintex Workflow Management > Manage allowed actions Check/Select "Document Generation" workflow action. Click on "OK".Now, make sure you see "Document Generation" workflow action available for use. For that, create a workflow and from workflow actions, type in "document generation" or go to "Lists and Libraries" category, you see the "Document Generation" workflow action available.

Today we released both RPA Central 2.4 and Nintex Bot 17.4 that includes Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). This is a big milestone for RPA to bring a new level of management to botflows. Thanks to all of the people involved in getting this feature built, tested, and released! If you were helping us test the beta, you can upgrade to these new builds. Summary of the RBAC FeatureNew in this release is an additional role – Participant. Those in this role are able to run botflows and view instance data. This means there are three roles in RPA - Administrator, Designer, and Participant. Nintex RPA is also introducing a new concept of Botflow Permissions. What you can do in RPA is based on your role and botflow permissions. So, for example, if you are a Designer in RPA but don't have permissions to a particular botflow, you will not see that botflow in the list of botflows that you can open and edit. If you're a Participant, you can only run botflows that 1) are Published, 2) are designed to

IntroductionThere are certain scenarios where a running process will need to wait for input or a trigger from an external system or process. One can always create a polling mechanism in the process, but that adds unnecessary overhead and is not a real-time trigger; if the external call comes back a second after the polling mechanism checked for updates, the process will need to wait another full cycle before processing is initiated. Example scenarios include waiting for an external system to complete batched or nightly jobs, long running transactions potentially involving multiple line of business systems or even something simple as a human completing a task in an external system. To cater for scenarios like these, the K2 platform has the concept of an asynchronous event, where pretty much any SmartObject call can be configured to wait for an external call before proceeding to the next step. Here is one approach to creating a holiday booking workflow that excludes weekends and bank holidays. The logic of this workflow is based on creating a collection variable containing the date range of the requested holiday dates, a collection containing the bank holidays and then checking these dates against each other to filter out the bank holidays. The key to this working is enforcing the date formats throughout the workflow. STEP 1: Create a custom list called HolidayBooking with 2 date columns for DateStart and DateEnd.
