Here is one approach to creating a holiday booking workflow that excludes weekends and bank holidays. The logic of this workflow is based on creating a collection variable containing the date range of the requested holiday dates, a collection containing the bank holidays and then checking these dates against each other to filter out the bank holidays. The key to this working is enforcing the date formats throughout the workflow. STEP 1: Create a custom list called HolidayBooking with 2 date columns for DateStart and DateEnd. The end user will use the DateStart and DateEnd to define the duration of their holiday.  STEP 2: Create a list workflow on the HolidayBooking list with the following variables:

This blog outlines how to enable these new features in your workflows. Initial task email attachments Task email attachments, a highly requested feature on Nintex UserVoice, we understand the importance of providing participants the ability to quickly review documents and then respond to the task - without having to log into SharePoint, speeding up the task approval process. To use task email attachments in your workflow, you first must enable 'Lazy Approval' in Assign a Task or Start a Task Process action.  

I was asked by a partner recently on the availability of Signature pad in Nintex Form, and I am sharing how I did it using the jSignature library from jSignature. This is to demonstrate how to embed a Signature Pad in Nintex Form for Signature capture, store, and display using the said jSignature.min.js javascript library. The data of the signature is stored in a text field for redisplaying when the form is opened. What you will need is just the jSignature.min.js file to be uploaded to your site for later inclusion into your "Custom JavaScript Includes" of the Form, also don't forget you will need the jQuery liabrary to be included as well if it is not already done for the site or site collection level. The result of the steps here is shown in below screen captured - Nintex Form with Signature Pad for signature drawing capture,

Business user-focused timeline for K2 While the K2 Viewflow serves the purpose of providing end-users with a live bird's eye view of the actual workflow/process itself along with each action that has been completed, but depending on the audience, the Viewflow can be too technical and complex to fully grasp what is going on. By using K2 out of the box features (Smartbox and a list view) and a bit of CSS, you can provide your users with a beautiful and useful graphical timeline. The idea around the timeline is that you populate a Smartbox with event information of your choice and use a K2 list view with CSS to provide a graphical outlay. Since you are in control of what is going into the Smartbox, you can add any information you like from the workflow or a form and with the CSS you can change the look and feel to be aligned with your organization's profile.

So I came across a problem with updating repeating section XML and was not able to find any conclusive answer on previous posts or answered questions so decided to share it in the hope that it would help someone else.  Scenario:We are building a Purchase order system to be the middleman between the user/requestor, approver and SAP. in this process we are calling budget data from SAP by Line item, which works great but the moment you update XML it replaces values in all entries for the specified Xpath item, i.e. the budget value is overwritten for all lines in your repeating section everytime you loop through the next line item and check budget.  In one question I saw a reply where the user was advised to use the Index value used in the For Each loop to find which line item to call, this however failed. Why? because my index default value is 0 and not 1... this means the first update is trying to update line 0 which does not exist. Solu

 What will you need? Any version of Kryon RPA with the REST API advanced command feature (v19.1 and above). You’ll also need a SMTP server to send outbound emails from Kryon Console, if one is not already available.  Here’s how you can get started:  1) Make sure you create a Pushover account before getting started.  After creating an account, you’ll be provided with a “user key”. In addition to the user key, you’ll also receive an “API Token/Key” that can be found at the bottom of your dashboard. By using both the “user key” and the API Token/Key”, you’ll be able to authenticate the Pushover API and send push notifications.  2) Download the Pushover app.  You’ll need a host app on your mobile device. You can do this by downloading the Pushover app from the App Store/Google Play and permit the app to send push notifications to your mobile device.  3) Send a test push notification.

In this post, I am going to show how to include a "Timeline" diagram in Nintex Form using just pure CSS technique.  1) Design your wizards for optimal performance. This means avoiding static pause times. Instead, use variable waiting mechanisms, such as programmatic loops, the “Wait for object to appear” action for visual elements, or the “Wait for window to appear” action for windows.  2) Record you wizards for optimal performance. When you record your wizards, you can visually optimize them to improve robot performance. One way to do this is by optimizing the click area settings. This way, the object can be found within the smallest click area, rather than falling back to searching the entire screen.  3) Prepare for all eventualities with wizard error handling and fallback. Ensure that all possible outcomes of a given wizard are handled, so that the wizard can always end in a timely and clean manner, even if things go awry. Doing so can potentially get a robot back to work quicker, even if a wizard cannot perform successfully.  Download our comm

You’ll need to have MS Office and a PDF viewer tool set up to verify input and output. (Kryon Studio Access). Afterward, you can break the process down into two steps.  The first step: Using Powershell code. Powershell is already available on each Windows OS. This saves you time, as you don’t need to make any changes to get your results.  The second step: You’ll need to utilize the code in Kryon. There are a few pointers to keep in mind. Powershell uses the “$” sign to denote a variable. However, in Kryon, we use it to utilize declared $Variable_Names$. What is the Form Recognizer service in Azure? It’s an AI-based service that enables the extraction of field data from structured and semi-structured documents for use in your wizards. (Ex: Invoice data or form data).  Once you’ve set up Form Recognizer, you’ll have everything you need to use the Form Recognizer with Kryon, including:  -An API key-An endpoint-A model ID With the above, you’ll be able to use the model to Analyze a Form (i.e. extract field data from a scanned document).  You’re now ready for your next step: analyzing a form using Kryon. You’ll need to use the cURL advanced command in Kryon Studio. The Workflow History List is a particular type of list in SharePoint. In terms of structure and functionalities, it is a normal list in SharePoint, nothing special, but it has the following particularities:It's used only by the workflow engine to log all the activities of the running workflow instances. By default, the logs are only kept for 60 days to avoid problems with the number of items limit in the list and also for performance reasons Every site has, out of the box, a Workflow History List. It's a hidden list, so don't worry if you don't find it in under Site Contents.
