Use Python script to calculate difference between two dates

"Eventtype", "keystrokes" and "combinations" values in PD_RAW_DATA table.

The Kryon Process Discovery database contains several tables. This topic is about the PD_RAW_DATA table. This table contains all recorded data. The screen images are encrypted, but the recorded meta data can be used for reporting. You can export this table with your query tool of choice, for example HEIDISQL. Export the PD_RAW_DATA table from MySQL or MariaDB to Excel. Some data is using key values. Find below a list of the most common corresponding values. Most common event type value. Steps to change the server FQDN after an installation of Kryon Process Discovery.

By default the Process Discovery installer will take the (Windows) server name and domain name as the endpoint for the console. The steps below are required when end-users will use a different DNS name when browsing to the server. You need to change the following config files when you need to change the server FQDN post-installation. This is for PD version 20.6 but most of these files work for prior versions as well. Change the wrong FQDN (windows server name) in the correct FQDN (server.domain) here. Unattended licensing use cases

By default, each combination of OS_user+machine will require an additional unattended license. However, it is possible to optimize license usage for a specific use case.  1) Single OS user that logs into multiple machines. A simple configuration you can add to the client’s appSettings.config file and it will always send a specific machine name to the console. As long as connected with the same OS user, this will use the same license. Add the following config key with any textual value (for example : “CustomerABC”): Note:Make sure to set the config before registering the robot You can have only one robot connected at a single time – we do not support multiple robot connections using the same OS user and the same machine name.  It should be done for all robots using the VDI pool and can be seen in the Admin to enforce them all. 2) Multiple OS users login to a single machineEach additional OS user login will require one more unattended license. PD Server on GCP/Discovery Bots on AWS

Dear all,did anybody attempted to install the PD Server on GCP and the discovery robots on AWS ? Are there any possible issues that you had to deal with during the set up? I read the documentation about setting up the discovery bots on AWS workstations, however I couldn't find a use case of setting the PD Server on GCP and the discovery bots which run on AWS report to that server. I am thinking that the set up process should be the same since the server still has an IP, Port ,etc . However I have some concerns about having a different cloud provider for bots and PD Server. Thank you for your time.

Custom Encoding Fix for older versions 19.1.3 and below The Custom Encoding option was a feature request which was introduced in 19.5 so the default encoding is cp1252 on the older versions. However, it is dependable on the system default setting, which can be altered. Workaround: 1) Close the Kryon Studio2) Set the System Environment Variable for the Python IO Encoding:Variable name: PYTHONIOENCODING Variable value: UTF-8 (or other encoding)3) Re-start the Studio4) Default encoding is now changed from cp1252 to UTF-8 Can be verified with the below script (Tested with Portuguese):print("Vinícius - João - Márcia - Ângela") Old results:Vin�cius - Jo�o - M�rcia - �ngela New results:Vinícius - João - Márcia - Ângela .lwiz attached

Limiting/restricting access to PD (sub-) sites/areas via nginx

TIP: You can easily restrict access to certain (sub-) areas/sites in PD by making some configuration changes (nginx). This is handy in case of security/access concerns, etc.: In the file “kryon-console-locations.import” you need to add the “allow...deny” directive to each location you wish to limit/block. I.e. see the following example for blocking the console: Note that the IP I specified there must be the actual local ip of the machine, not “localhost” or “127.0.0.1”. Doing the above for the locations you want to block will result in an error when access from outside the server system:

The remote server returned an error (504) Getaway Timeout error

In case you are not able to connect Client (Robot or Studio) to the server and receiving the error "The remote server returned an error (504) Getaway Timeout", the below configuration can resolve his problem:Increasing of proxy_read_timeout value from 10s to 60s in file kryon-discovery-locations.import (IDPAerobaseData ginxconf.d folder) solved the issue.

Customer verification for RPA 20.3.2  In case you're running Migration Script after all Services are up, one can fail to edit the trigger (in SEQ, it occurs as Controller logs of a trigger that doesn't exist). The workaround:Stop all the services, including new Console services (currently manually).  Start all the services, including new Console services. Correct procedure:After Upgrade installation, stop all the services include Console services.Run Migration script Start all the services, include Console services The reason: The controller does not recognize migrated triggers due to a lack of subscription (during code creation or Controller service up). https://kryonsystems.atlassian.net/browse/RPA-3483 The workaround is to enter the trigger and edit it from the trigger page: Activate and Save.

Something useful that you can use in either Testing or when upgrading customers with Kerberos: Our LDAP settings have an option to use an ldap filter so that you don't import all users from a customer's Active Directory. Some customers may not want this and it's understandable. This is why, before you do a sync in Keycloak, you can add an ldap filter like the one below:(&(objectCategory=Person)(sAMAccountName=*)(memberOf:1.2.840.113556.1.4.1941:=CN=Domain Admins,CN=Users,DC=KryonAWS,DC=com)) This filter will import all AD users that are within our Domain Admins container.
