K2 blackpearl

Dear Experts, I have done K2 Blackpearl 4.6.8 migration for my client previous time. My client wanted to migrate the K2 server and SQL server to a new environment. The migration has completed successfully. So what steps I have done as below:Clone K2 server and SQL Server from the current ones. Change the cloned K2 host name, K2 Account service, the cloned SQL host name and SQL account Join the cloned K2 server and cloned SQL server to a new domain. We have a K2 Package that created using the K2 Package and Deployment tool.  The package is used for installing workflow/smart objects/service instance into the production server . The production environment of k2 has only the server installed in it. When we run the package using the powershell script we get the following error while installing the smart object into the k2 server Could not load file or assembly 'SourceCode.WebDesigner.Management, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=16a2c5aaaa1b130d' or one of its dependencies. The particular screen shot is as given here   Resoultion: We copied two dlls manually into k2 sever   SourceCode.WebDesigner.Management.dll:  should be copied at the following path under the K2 blackpearl installed folder: “Host ServerBin" SourceCode.WebDesigner.Runtime.Management.dll: should be copied at the following path under the K2 blackpearl installed folder: “Host ServerBinhostedservers” The k2 server has to be restarted after placing the abov

I have a requirement where user can save the form, open it later and submit OR submit directly. If the data is saved, i do i open it in same form, since workflow is using that particular form's submit button clicked rule to start the workflow. Anyone accomplished this..please share how to. 

Background: We are currently running K2 BlackPearl 4.7 with March 2018 Update.  Problem: The tasks fails to open for traget users when using Out of Office Tasks.  Error Message: Worklist item could not be opened. 24411 K2:DomainDomainUser from 172.xx.x.xxx:xxxx is not allowed to open the worklist item with SN=29531_44 Issue: Currently when a user sets their status as out of office and fowards all assigned tasks to a delgated users, the user is able to use the Out of The Box Worklist to access and action tasks, although when using the customer worklist the user recieves an error listed above. Hi, I'm interested in using a ReCaptcha type element to a form in order to prevent spam, has anyone here managed to encorporate this type of security steps in a k2 Form? i.e. ReCaptcha, Solve a maths question, identify an item for example? I'm on v4.7 blackpearl, so would appreciate any help in how this can be used in a form and how the process would work? Thanks

HI,I have a button in the view, when user click on this button I show the subview. I am accidentally delete this button without remove the subview rule. Therefore I still have a subview rule in my view.  I try to remove the subview, but I could not delete it because it said "The items cannot be deleted because they are in use. See below for more detail". I did try to go the view where it used the subview, but I can clear the subview either.How I get around it. Thanks.

We currently allow users to authenticate to SharePoint with their Office 365 user accounts and upload a file to SharePoint. This is all done with K2 for SharePoint and SharePoint K2 web parts. Is there a way to configure the smart object to use a specific user to upload to SharePoint, and not the logged in user?

I'm wanting to test an SAP RFC in K2 Connect Test Cockpit.The function I want to test is BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFYThe documentation says I must call BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_SAVE, then call BAPI_TRANSACT_COMMIT. How do I test calling these three functions in the same session from Test cockpit? Or do I need to chain the functions together in Visual Studio and then publish a service object, then create a smartobject to test this functionality? Test cockpit seems to work great with functions that do not require followup calls like SAVE and COMMIT.Functions that require save and commit do not seem to be so easy to tst. Please advise.Thanks.Hao Ngo.

Hi All,  We have the challenge to migrate all the workflow live instances from K2 4.6.11 to K2 4.7.Here is the situation :We were using K2 4.6.11 version running with several live apps and now instead of upgrading the same server, a brand new server has been set up with K2 4.7 and all the old version apps are getting upgraded separately on some other dev server and then deployed on the new server. Most of the apps are deployed and has gone live using the new K2 4.7 server.But there is one app where we faced a lot of issues while upgrading but finally, it is upgraded to K2 4.7 with the package ready to be deployed on the new server (K2 4.7). The challenge is we have thousands of workflow live instances running on the old version which we also need to migrate to the new server.What we cannot do is to take a backup of K2 database from the old server and restore to the new server and run config to pick up restored K2 database to update the changes as we have apps running on the new server

Hi,I have installed full calendar control for k2 smartforms and when i'm running my form an error shows up saying : "there was an error while fetching events!".Also, when i'm editing the events with a custom View by utilizing the calendar-Clicked Event, the same error shows up again.Does anyone have an idea about this error or how to be fixed.

Hi there, I'm a newbie at SmartForms and I'm building one where in I have 2 dates. A start Date and an end date. The start date can only be today and future. And the end date obvioulsy is greater than or equal to the start date, so the end date should automatically only show from that date onwards. So for example, if the user is on the form today Jun  26th 2015, the picker selection should only allow June 26th onwards in start date. Let's say the user selects October 1st as the start date then, the end date picket should start from October 1st, without the user having to click multiple times. I don't see such a setting in the properties of the Date picker. Let me know how can I achieve this. thank you

Hi there, I have a drop-down list in my view with 3 static options A, B, and C.  If user selects A or B, I hope that in the amount payable field will show "$10". If user selects C, the amount payable field shows "$30".  How can I achieve that? After that, user has to choose the reason for submitting the form which I have created 4 choices using button list control.  If user selects the first reason in the list, the amount payable field will change to $0.  For all other reasons, the amount remains unchanged. Again, how can I achieve that? Thank you.

Hi, We currently have a hybrid Exchange setup and are currently testing Office365 Mailboxes. We have a group of Authorisers, one of which we moved their mailbox to Office365. Then i sent a form request to these authorisers, but when the Office265 Authorisers approved the request (via offline approval i.e. reply with approved to email for example), nothing gets actioned. If another Authoriser (with a regular exchange account) approved it, the request got actioned. Any ideas or guidance on how we can get O365 mailboxes to work as well with K2 offline approvals? Thanks 

hi,i have created a DLL files in asp.net (Visual studio 2015) for getting google calendar events to display in the list, for error and steps passed we stored that in the log file, for getting this google calendar events, i have created a project in google developer console and i have generate the Client ID and Service account with OAuth 2.0 credentials and domai-wide delegation.

so I ocasionally make use of environmental variables, because if I want to be able to test in Dev, I don't want emails going to production distribution lists, I just want them going to myself.The problem is that even though in Dev I have a different value for Dev Environment Library and another value for Prod Environment Library, when I package and deploy, it always transfer the Dev value from Dev Instance to the Prod value in Prod Instance (which means the Prod value in the Dev instance has no effect), also are they live? because even when I go and change the value in my Prod instance, it still uses the original values. So does the workflow save the values from when it was made? or is it supposed to use the value that the variable has at the moment? I'm very confused.

What are inactive users in License report?Are they being included in license counts? These inative users don't show on Licensed Users page so I cannot remove their licenses. Mose users are terminated, how can we remove their licenses if they are included in license counts?Thanks 

Please do NOT answer if you don't have a solution for a specific post. Looking back at the posts on this page there are answers that DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE (or the answers make a little bit of sense but they don't provide a solution). Would be nice if we can identify on a post the responder that waste everybody's time, is very fustrating. Hopefully there will be others that feel like me. 

I have an application that every time a user accesses the application it records their name and the date they accessed it. Is it possible to create an expression that when the user opens the application it presents the last date they used it. I have created a list view that in the application which filters by the user and then there is a formula that finds the maximium date on the filtered list. But this does take time and as more users access the applicaton over time it will get slower. Is there a quck way that this can be acheived. Regards Andrew
