Nintex Workflow

I have 4 forms for parents to built  In Nintex Workflow Cloud  -The forms are built-in Nintex workflow Cloud (Authenticate -)  I would like for the person to log in ( authenticate the user)-  before they can complete the form Where and how do you create the login information - is this possible? or how do you authenticate the user ? Once the form is submitted the information is stored in SharePoint Online O365  (This works) I would like to know how to Authenticate the user/person filling out the formthen Get the user Email address And the User IP address if possibleIs this possible - If yes, can you please let me know how to accomplish this ASAP.  Any assistance would be appreciatedCarol  

Hi,  I'm very new here so apologies if this has been answered somewhere else already but I couldn't find anything while searching. I'm trying to create a payment approval form so our dealer network can request and receive approval to work quickly and easily.  To do this, I've created a form that asked the dealer for the case number of the job they're working on. What I want to then do is retrieve the details of that case from Salesforce, including other relevant customer information, to then pass to the approving managers for approval. the Salesforce info will mean the managers do not have to manually look up all the info they need to make their decision as it will all be present for them in the approval request email they receive.  That's the concept anyway.  So far I've created the form and have been able to successfully query salesforce with the job number and get a result (I think, it says it worked but I can't

Hi team,I am using the "SharePoint Online - Retrieve an item" action in a workflow. Why can't we set the "SharePoint site URL" parameter by using a variable?The "SharePoint Online - Update items" & "SharePoint Online - Create an item" allows for us to insert a variable.  This is extremely useful when switching between Dev and Prod sites. Hi Team, I set two steps to generate files from merchant. On Start Event Form, I put a "file upload" option. Then I used "create a folder" and "store a file" options. "Store a file" overwrite file is "No" because I just want to store all files. On Assign a Task Form, same steps with above. Then I test the workflow, but it failed. The reason is "File with same name couldn't be stored in one folder". Maybe is there any method to store files with same name and not overwrite files? Thanks!

I've got a form with a repeating section, but it needs to go through several layers of authentication by the management hierarchy. Sometimes this will be passed back to the original form-filler. Is there any way of passing previous answers back into the repeating section? I'd rather the original form-filler wouldn't need to start again with an empty form, if it's rejected for something minor. I can do this for non-repeating forms by saving answers to a SQL database, then recalling the answers using a SQL SELECT statement. I then turn this into a Collection and extract the answers I need into variables, which are used to pre-populate the answer. This doesn't work for repeating sections however, as there doesn't seem to be an obvious way of targeting a specific row in a repeating section. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got a workflow where a user will create a 'to do' list, generated by their answers to questions. This is a particularly large form, so the 'to do' list can get very large. I populate a string variable for each page of questions to keep things neat, and none of these will ever exceed the size limit of that variable.When I add the variables to a 'Assign a Task' email, I get a truncated error, which seems to point towards a string variable being too long:500 - "The property value exceeds the maximum allowed size (64KB). If the property value is a string, it is UTF-16 encoded and the maximum number of characters should be 32K or less. RequestId:566b0f79-8002-0070-3c9e-2fb567000000 Time:2021-04-[TRUNCATED]When I add the variables to a stand-alone 'Send an Email' email, I get no errors. It would appear that the 'Assign a Task' email has a character limit, while the 'Send an Email' email doesn't. Is this correct?Although I've solved this by sending 2

The signature control is very tall and takes up a huge amount of real estate, very different from other controls. It should be possible to adjust its height.  What is strange is if you put the signature control in the same row as other controls, then it gets shorter.  The wider the other controls -- and the width of other controls can be adjusted, the shorter the signature control. it should be possible to adjust the height without putting it on the same row as other controls.

Hello, Can the text of a workflow email be changed from the generic "nintex@workflowcloud.com"? I don't want to change the address, just the text ‘Nintex’ so users do not mistake it for spam when a task email comes in. I am working on Sharepoint online. Thanks

I'm using a NWC task form as a survey.So the assign a task action has the mulitple outcomes disabled. The form has 6 choice controls. All with a values of 1,2,3,4,5We capture the results and store into a SQL db table. Is there a way I can access the title property of the choice control?I'd like to dynamically capture the title of the choice control and save that into a field in the SQL table.I had a play with form variables, etc but could not see how to access the sub properties of the control. My idea is that if the question changes but editing the task form design the updated question text / title is also available to be captured in a variable.

Looking at the list of actions that are Non-billable / Exempt:Subscription Pricing Cheat Sheet (Updated as of 29... - Nintex Community I was wondering if the new 'set instance name' action will be non-billable as well? I see it as very similar to the 'set workflow status' action that is non-billable on the other platforms. Thanks,Gavin

Hi all, I'm trying to create a workflow which queries a Sharepoint list (multiple columns and rows) and generates a document from a word template with the list data appearing in a table.   I can successfully query Sharepoint and loop through the resulting Collection data but can't figure out how to get all that data passed to the Document Generation task to populate a table.  I haven't found anything in help/videos that covers this scenario.    Attached is a picture of the workflow.  The email task is just to help me debug to see if the Loop is iterating through the rows of the list (it is). Thanks, Jeff

This is what I am trying to accomplish:Each user will receive a link to a published Nintex form.  The form acts as a purchase order. Each link will include a unique, obfuscated URL parameter, like:  "Code=AG13AS", which will be available to the form as a variable. Each code corresponds to several values stored in a separate data source (like a SharePoint list).  For example, the code might represent commercial terms that are unique to that user, which can be retrieved based on the code.  The data source has these columns:  Code, Price, NumberOfUsers, Duration. I want to show in the form that the user completes the terms from the data source, so the user knows what they are agreeing to purchase.  Each term would be stored as a variable with read-only access.  I also want those variables available for the entire workflow, such as to save elsewhere, include in a generated document, etc. Is there a way to take a URL parameter fo

Help... Here is the issue I am trying to resolve:I have a form that needs to be sent to two different external users. One first, then another. Within the workflow, I have placed run if's, so that as soon as form signer #1 signs and submits, an email notification gets sent to form signer #2 to open link within email (not sure how to place this within email body because all data is within Sharepoint and there is no form ID that will take the user to form already signed by user #1) sign and re-submit form for final approval. Someone mentioned turning this into PDF... but then, user #2 would have to print and sign, instead of doing it all electronically.

Hi Everyone,   I am fairly new to Nintex and am attempting to create workflows for an employment application process that we intend to demo to a potential client. In the form, I use repeating sections for data related to employment, education, etc. What I am ultimately attempting to do is populate the information from the repeating sections into table format using the DocGen action. I understand repeating sections are collections in NWC and I can loop through the collection, but I still have no way of using this when placing tags in my template. I have also tried using the Create a text string action to at least get the information from the repeating section into a text variable, but am not sure how I create a new line in the action. Any help is appreciated!

I am trying to use NWC to start a list workflow in SPO because it's a second workflow on the same list and I want to use a different form to launch it. You can't call an SPO workflow from NWC, so I need to create an Xtension, but I am totally lost reading the descriptions of how to do this. Has anyone else done so, and if so, can you share an example with me of how to do it?Or, does anyone have a better idea of how to have two forms for two workflows on the same list? Is there any way to create a form for a site workflow, which would let me call it as a component workflow?

I've been running up a proof of concept form for a school and thought I'd provide some feedback on using the data lookup control with an Azure Active Directory data source. For this school in Azure AD there are approx 2300 student accounts, 750 staff accounts of which approx half are teachers (350), and maybe 3000 parent accounts. In my scenario I would like the students to just be able to select a teacher user account from the data lookup control. So the first feedback is the ability to filter accounts on the data source.Clearly this does relate to what attribute values we push into Azure AD for staff accounts.I was able to get some of the way there with filtering on the City field but I wasnt able to filter out non academic staff. (One solution is that we push different attribute values for academic staff into other AD attributes but that may cause some other issues for us) The most useful way to sort through su

Hi, I am new to Nintex and Nintex Workflow Cloud. I am trying to create a form that save to Microsoft SQL Server in a VM in Azure and to access the database in azure we set a specific port (not using a default port). But when I try to add a connector, the database host doesn't allow me to add ":"  or ",". Is there any other way to connect the database with a specific port? Thanks, Suharmin   

hi, I have an existing MS excel form that i am trying to move into the nintex platform.  The excel file has two tables, the first one contains details of an asset being requested and the second table are requisition details relating to that asset.  For example, if you buy a car as an asset you order the car but have to include insurance, fancy wheels, leather seats etc so each line in the second table should link should link to an asset.  I have tried to use a repeating section so that each asset is filled out, but i need the next page on the form to link to that asset too.  So i am trying to figure out if i can make each line in the first page able a variable and then it can create a new page dependent on how many rows are created?   hope that makes sense, happy to answer some questions if not clear.  I have added screenshots of the excel file and cloud form cheers thomas 

Is there a maximum size for workflows in Nintex Workflow Cloud? I'm currently extracting a lot of items from Collections into variables in the workflow, for use in pre-populating a form. After my latest changes, Workflow Cloud won't save the workflow - it seems to time-out each time. This has been happening all day, but only for this workflow (other, smaller workflows are saving ok). Is it possible that my workflow is now too large to be saved? 

hi, just new to the product and trying to figure a couple of problems out.  One issue is that i can seem to work out how to do document generation without the option of using of a connector.  according to the help instructions, you set a connector and use the template from there, however when i configure the document generator the connector option doesnt appear.  I have read one other forum post that talks about using variables but unsure how this would work.  Are there any suggestions?  Just looking to create a pdf using form entries, had it working when i trialed the software last year but now it doesnt appear to be working so not sure if there is a new way to do it.  all help would be gratefully received.   cheers   thomas 

I have a NWC form and need to capture the data that users enter. Using SharePoint is NOT an option. Can I collect the NWC form data in an excel file? If yes, can you advise how to do this. Thanks.

I have seen similar posts involving SharePoint lists, but that is not the case here.   I do not want to have to first copy the data over to SharePoint.   I have a workflow in Workflow Cloud that includes a form.  Is there any way to periodically export the data that has been collected, in bulk, to Excel or CSV?  This could be done manually or through an automated process.   For ex, take the last 100 form entries and export that all to CSV?   If so, is it also possible to include data in other variables collected by the workflow that are not part of the form data?

I have an approval that has a limited time frame.  If the person who is supposed to approve does not respond within a set period of time, then a default response is taken and the workflow is ended.   Guided by other posts, I implemented this by setting up a parallel flow that sleeps for that set period of time and when it wakes up checks to see if a response was provided. If not, the default action is taken and the workflow ends using an End this Workflow Step.   But I noticed if the approver later clicks on the link in the approval email after the workflow has ended, they can still complete the approval form and are told that the task was completed successfully.   How can the approval task be canceled so that the approver is notified that they are too late in responding.  I assumed ending the workflow would have done this automatically.
