Overwrite Box files

I was hoping when I overwrite files in Box, they will create a new Version rather when using workflow they just delete the previous file and add the new one

Is there an option to overwrite and keep version history?

    Hi Aadhawan,

     

    It appears to be a limitation in the Box API available, it doesn't allow for the option to retain history unless the file IDs are the same which is most cases for using NWC this will be the case.

    Hey Jake,

    Thank You for your help,
    My best solution will be to run another loop in my workflow and look for the same string name and change the file name.
