Hello, I currently have a form from which the user must select a specific customer, the list is organized as ID: CustomerName. Currently, the list has 1900 items. I am using the drop down list. I would like the search to be dynamic, rather than a pop-up full list. Does anybody have an idea?
We had Infopath previous which allowed us to paste the form in the notification email as a pdf for quick review. Given that the email link directs users straight to the approval form without viewing the document that they are approving, this is a necessary feature! Otherwise our team members are having to click the link (one click) which takes them to the approval form which they then have to click a link (one click) to see the form they are being asked to approve and then having to click back or navigate back to the email to approve. (one click... a total of 3 clicks) Ideally the workflow is: 1) Email received with full form and can approve or reject with comments from email (one click solution) if not then 1a) email received with full form and routed to approval form (one click) to approve or reject (one click.. total of 2 clicks) 1b) email received and routed to form (one click) to approve or reject from that form (one click... total of 2 clicks) .... NOT rerouted to the approval/re
Goodmorning all, Recently I tried to assign a flexi task to person X. In the step above I set the item permissions to 'design' for this specific person. When person X opens the mail and goes to the flexi task, he will see an error message: "you must have editing rights for this task item if you want to respond". Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Looking forward to your responses Marco P.S. in case some 'weird' english words appear, or sentences which don't match Nintex' language, please forgive me using Google Translate 😉
In Nintex I am trying to limit bad data input by the user using CSS. The data needs to be in all caps, with no spaces. The all caps portion is easy via.transformToAllCaps {text-transform: uppercase;}.However, I have no idea how to not allow spaces. Can anyone help me out with this? Is this even possible in CSS? or would I need to use another setting in Nintex?Â
Good Afternoon, I have a form that has a first item which is Request Type. The last item on this dropdown is Other - Please Specify. When this is selected, it unhides a single line text field (Other) for the User to fill in. I want to make this field mandatory if Other - Please Specify is selected. I haven't been able to get this to work thus far. Any assistance would be appreciated.Â
Hi Forum!A bit of a head scratcher for me here - I'm trying to use the format date inline functionhttps://help.nintex.com/en-US/nwc/Content/Designer/Functions/formatDate.htmI'm doing a build string activity and have tried: fn-FormatDate({ItemProperty:EventDate},"MM/DD/YYYY")and fn-FormatDate({ItemProperty:EndDate},"ShortDate") from the docs, both of those should work. The outputs I receive are 09/DD/YYYYandS11orPDaPe What kind of goobledey gook is that?I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Best,Erin Â
Hi, We are currently running a new 2019 farm, after migrating from SP2013. We've noticed that workflows are not starting as we would expect. We believe that the issue is described in https://help.nintex.com/en-US/nintex2019/current/#sp2019/InstallGuide/EnsureSvcsRunning.htm?TocPath=Get%2520started%257CInstall%252C%2520upgrade%252C%2520and%2520migrate%257CInstall%2520Nintex%2520for%2520SharePoint%257CInstall%2520Nintex%2520for%2520SharePoint%257CPlan%2520your%2520test%2520and%2520production%2520environments%257CSet%2520up%2520topology%2520for%2520installation%257C_____1 (the first note). The linked article was removed by Microsoft, so we are no longer able to find the instructions. With some searching, we believe to have found an article that lists the steps, https://blogs.msmvps.com/haarongonzalez/a-quick-tale-from-the-sharepoint-support-trenches/. Since we are running WFE+cache and app server minroles, we tried method 3 in the article, yet this completely goes against the spec for the
Is it possible to do a validation rule where I can get a button to only be visible to the person who's name is entered in my Administrator field? Â

We have SharePoint, Project Server 2013 & Nintex Workflows 2013 based web application where SharePoint is configured with Claims based authentication. Â We got a requirement to convert from claims to SAMLÂ based authentication in order to implement SSO with IAM. Â I am looking to understand if On Premise Nintex Workflow 2013 supports SAML based authentication with SharePoint Server 2013 & webservices and if there are steps will be require to update existing workflows using SharePoint/Project webservices.
I am trying out ways to extract List items from SharePoint list and convert them to CSV file using Nintex Workflow. Trying similar solution as posted in Click here , i have managed to pull out data from SharePoint ,But i am facing some issue with the XML2CSV conversion node in nitex. I have this piece of code , <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"><xsl:output method="text" encoding="iso-8859-1"/> <xsl:template match="/child::*"><xsl:for-each select="child::*">{WorkflowVariable:textXSLChunk}<xsl:text>
</xsl:text></xsl:for-each></xsl:template></xsl:stylesheet>But when ever their is an "," in the remark field , it is considering it as next field. How can i make it skip the "," entry in the field value.
I have an issue where one of my disable rules is causing form fields to clear out. In researching this issue I see that it is a bug that was fixed in the past. See below. Anyone else having this issue? "A bug has been fixed that previously cleared any value in a column when the connected control was disabled for editing by the Rules functionality. Values displayed in disabled controls are now retained." source:https://community.nintex.com/t5/Nintex-for-SharePoint-Forum/Nintex-Forms-2010-Release-Notes/td-p/86918 Â
I am using NINTEX FORMS, no previous experience, and I want to set the value of a tag's text based on the value of a key I send through the query string. What I am trying to accomplish is something like this:If(fn-GetQueryString(TipoSolicitud) = "X", "Text1", "Text2")But this doesn't work at all. Anyone knows if this is possible? and How to do it?

I have a form that I need to open in 3 stages based on selection. I am using not([Form Mode].[Is New Mode]) to open the second group on the form after "Submit" and I need to know how to get the same effect for the Third section to do the same based off a selection from Group 2. I have a rule set up now to unhide section 3 based on selection but I do not want section 3 to show until after the form is submitted. Any help here is greatly appreciated. This is how I have Group 2 set up.Â
Hi guys, I have a question. I have created a workflow that runs if todays date < project date and if the progress equals 10%,20% and 30%. Then a list item gets updated with the text 'Project Date Is Expired'. After that the third action comes up which is again a Run If Action and is set up that when todays date < project date but the progress is changed to 40%, 50%, 60% until 100% the same list item gets updated as 'Documents Are Sent Out'. But when I again change the progress to 10%, 20% or 30% I want the list item to get updated back to 'Project Date Is Expired' and this doesn't happen. How can I let the workflow start over again and run through the same steps as when it begins. Please send help 🙂 Thanks in advance!
Hi All, I’m currently facing an issue with my nintex form. On of the fields of Nintex form was disconnected from SharePoint list column. Hi all, I am having trouble with Client ID and recording it into the SharePoint list. I have two single line text boxes that displays the name and surname that’s being pulled through from JavaScript. This all works fine. I am trying to combine the first name and the surname in a calculated field that is connected to Full Name in a SharePoint list. This does not work, but when I manually type in values to the text boxes, it works. I am not sure what the problem is. Any assistance will be appreciated. Form that is Manaully typed: Form that gets filled in by the Javascript: The SharePoint list:
Hi Folks, This is a repost from a direct message thread between @MegaJerk and me that we thought would be useful to others in the community. I need to dynamically populate the title field of list items. The string will be comprised of a selected date from the form, the selected frequency from a choice control, some literal string characters, and the date and time that the save/submit button is clicked. additionally, once the field is set, it should not be updated by subsequent saves. Huge kudos to @MegaJerk for his patient assistance with this and his "above and beyond" level of explanation to help me learn JavaScript and how to apply it to Nintex Forms!-------------------------------I have been messing with this and here is what I have come up with to get the date formats how I need them to be. The record name is NOT dependent on the item ID so I am good with naming it at "save time". //======================================= // Set the Consolidated CDRL Report Name //===============
I'm fairly new to Nintex and i need help with hiding a section of my form when the form is in new mode.I'm not sure how to do this and all the information I have found the screen shots do not look like my current Nintex. Should it be a Rule or a Variable? Here is the section of my form i want to hide. Here is the Form Variable section Here is my Form Rules sectionCan anyone assist?Â
I found an interesting community thread: https://community.nintex.com/thread/3009 What I gleaned came from Andrew Glasser:The URL had to be something like the following: Site URL/_layouts/15/NintexWorkflow/StartWorkflow.aspx?List={List ID}&ID=ID&WorkflowName=MyWorkflow&Source=Item URL This works as far as it goes--but it leads me to the Start Workflow Screen for that Workflow. I want to go farther. I don't want my user to see that screen for my workflows there is nothing I want them to set. I want the workflow to just run--not stop at the Start Scree. Gerard Rodriguez came up with observation that WorkflowName could be subsituted for TemplateID. I'm going to try this with links I've created for Site Workflows as well, since everytime I recompile the link is not valid since the templateid changes. Â
Hi there, I have two related forms one is for users to complete which is very lengthy and the other is for the committee for their review and approval. When users completes the first form and submit. I have inserted and configured a Create item in another site action so it pre populates related fields in the second form. A notification is generated to the committee to review and make their assessment. What I want to do now is to hyperlink the list items according to the IDs for the reviewers/committees convenience. When they get a notification and open the form it should also have a link to the previous completed form as a reference. Apologies, if this is not clear enough and awaiting any suggestions or solutions
I have a Send Notification as part of a workflow in SharePoint 2013. This workflow step sends emails to a large group of people that is maintained on a SharePoint site via a list. I have "Send individually addressed notifications" checked. I'm running into a problem where occasionally people have left the company, and hence emailing them causes your email to bounce back. This causes the workflow to error out immediately and anyone in the distribution list after the person that caused the workflow error, doesn't receive an email. Is there any way around this? Manually auditing the distribution list isn't feasible because it's huge. Is there any way to just ignore the error on the Send Notification step and let the workflow continue?
I want to start a workflow when a text field is updated. For example I the from I currently build has two fields where comments are entered to provide status updates for the request. I have tried the following condition: I tested the condition but the workflow starts even when this fields have not been updated. Is there a way to trigger a workflow to start when multi-line text field are updated?
