I am attempting to set a form variable using JavaScript. When the form loads there is an error in the developer tools console log that one of the variables is not defined. NWF$(document).ready(function () { NWF$('#' + varRequestorManager).click(function () { NWF.FormFiller.SetValue("MyRequestorFormVariable","New Value"); var val = NWF.FormFiller.GetValue("MyRequestorFormVariable"); console.log("Form Variable Updated" + val); });});
Hello! Is it possible to prevent users from entering in characters such as “~” or “\” or “/” in a text field? I see that you can use a regular expression but am having a bit of a tough time getting this specifically… I do need to be able to allow the “$” to the field though... Thanks in advance!

Why does the Nintex Workflow Schedular timer job keep getting removed from my SharePoint SE farm? It seems that after evey install of the monthly SharePoint SE CU, the Nintex Workflow Schedular timer job is no longer in the list of farm timer jobs. I have to run the command “NWAdmin.exe -o InstallTimerJob -job ScheduledWorkflows -url https://someurl.com” for each web app for it to appear in the timer job list. Why am I having to add it back to the environment every month or every so often? When is this job initially created by Nintex? Why does it keep dissappearing?
After installing Nintex Workflow for SharePoint SE, The Nintex workflow and forms timers jobs are not displayed in the Job Definitions page in Central Admin. The only timer job displayed is the Nintex Forms Purge Job. The Nintex dbs are connected, web applications activated, action settings are set, Nintex forms feature activated on all web applications, Nintex workflow is enabled on the sites. I initially installed version 6.0.7.10 and then upgraded to 6.0.9.0 with the same results. The workflows do run but timer jobs are missing. Any assistance/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Lately we received email regardingMicrosoft SharePoint Server Support Ending- Nintex Migration Action Recommended I need clarification on several key points to help us plan our migration strategy:1. Nintex Workflow for SharePoint Support Timeline:Will Nintex continue to provide support for Nintex Workflow for SharePoint after July 14, 2026? If yes, for how long will this support continue? What level of support will be available (bug fixes, security patches, technical support)?2. Migration Requirements:Is migration to either Nintex Automation CE or K2 mandatory, or is it simply recommended? What are the consequences of staying on the current platform beyond 2026?3. Migration Process and Timeline:What is the recommended timeline for completing migration? Are there any migration tools or services available to assist with the transition? What are the licensing implications when migrating from our current Nintex Workflow for SharePoint to K2 or CE?4. Cost and Licensing:How does the pricing
We have recently upgraded from Nintex Forms 2013 (2.9.0.0 ) to Nintex Forms for SharePoint 2016 - International version: 4.6.11.10.In the older 2013 version, fields that are form based only, and not connected to a Sharepoint list column, had validation rules that fired on submission. However the validation rules no longer trigger after we upgraded to latest Nintex Forms 2013 version 2.12.9.0, then to Nintex Forms for SharePoint 2016 - International version: 4.6.11.10.Has anyone had this validation issue with Nintex Forms and unconnected controls, and if so, did you find a way to rectify? We need some controls ie controls in Repeating Section, to be unconnected AND also have validation.
I am trying to capture a Completion Date. The SP 2019 Column is Date and Time and in the workflow I am setting it to Workflow Context Current Date, but every time is set the time as 12:00 AM. Is there a way to make it append the time? I need to calculate the time of resolution from Created Date (the time the item is created) to Completion Date. I am using Nintex Forms and Workflow 2019 an SharePoint 2019
My Flexi Tasks use to send out reminders but stopped 3 months ago.
I am running into an issue where attachments sometimes do not open/download from the nintex form they are attached to. The issue does not occur on every form submitted, and there isn’t a particular file type that seems to be the cause. I’ve cleared my browser cache, but the issue persists. If I open the site in Incognito mode, the attachments do open. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this issue?
Hello,I have 2 pages setup (configure pages settings) in a responsive form. Is it possible to print out one of the pages? I notice that when I print, it wants to print out both pages that I have configured but I only want the “print” section… Is this possible? Thanks!
We have a classic Nintex form in SharePoint 2016 on-premises with a label control that contains some static hyperlinks to documents related to the form which users may need to reference when filling out a new item form. When creating a new form from the “+ new item” link at the top of the SharePoint list view, the form opens in a dialog and clicking on the hyperlinks in that control opens the documents in a new tab. However, if the user opens the NewForm.aspx in its own tab so the form is not a floating dialog box, clicking on the same hyperlinks will not open the documents in a new tab and navigates them away from the form page, therefore any information the user entered in the form up to that point ends up being lost. Does anyone know if there is some way to configure the links/control settings so they will always open in a new tab regardless of the mode/method used to open the new item form in the user’s browser? This is an example of the HTML source from the text format of the lab
ProblemWe are trying to publish a workflow with some modifications in a productive environment (the server is divided in 2, one as App server and the other as Front End server). The problem is that at some point if we add one more action we get the error shown in the image below. We had the similar problem in the development environment (a single server instance) but we solved it following the resolution of the following case: Unable to publish or run workflows after installing SharePoint On Premises July 2021 CU | CommunityIt does not seem to be related to the size or limit of actions because, as we said, in the development environment it works normally. In addition, in the past we also configured “EnablePreParseSecurityCheckForWorkflow = $false” according to: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/some-scenarios-of-sharepoint-2010-workflow-are-affected-after-applying-the-july-security-update-for-sharepoint-server-kb5004862-be361cd6-9f54-48c4-b890-2c4b7cf49d13 Otherwise workflows s
How can I add a textbox(s) to a Nintex Form 2019 Look up, with ability to add a new item if it doesn't exist? In this example, I have a lookup that goes to a Customer List and pulls up the Customer name. I want to add something to the Form, if the Customer doesn’t exist, they can add it. The Customer List has these columns: Customer; CSR; Notes
I created a conference room calendar reservation request. The requestor submits a start date and end date. My workflow creates a variable where it calculates ‘end date - 10 minutes’. I have used both update field and set field to this new variable and the item will not accept the new date/variable.Configure Action:Update Item
We have a large Nintex form attached to a SharePoint 2019 list that multiple users need to go in and make edits - but when two people are in the form at the same time someone’s changes will not be saved. Is there a way to lock it down so only one person can have the form open at a time to avoid these mishaps?
I am using SharePoint 2019. I have a site for which I have created several site workflows using the Nintex workflow product. Periodically, there will pe a problem where the workflow internal status shows “Failed on Start (retrying)” and the workflow instance continues to show up under “Running Workflows”, though the workflow appears to work correctly when I check the results. Following is a screen shot:I am looking for a method of canceling and removing all instances of this workflow (in particular those that show as “running” that are in a “failed on start” condition) in a batch mode with a tool like PowerShell or with some sort of timer job. I want to do this in a batch mode rather than having to go into each job individually and terminate each one. I have found PowerShell scripts to terminate running list workflow instances, but I haven’t found much on site workflows.A bonus would be to schedule something to run automatically on a periodic basis, but I would be happy to have so
Can someone tell me how I secure/limit a text field so that only members of certain groups can input into that column? What is the formula? Thank you in advance.
My company was recently renewing licenses for Nintex On Prem, and heard that Nintex will no longer be issuing licenses beyond April 2026. I understand that Microsoft has deprecated the workflow engine, but as far as I am aware, it will simply no longer be updated - not entirely removed from existing on prem installations. Is it the case that Nintex will stop issuing licenses for all existing installations of the Nintex Workflows On Prem product for all on premises SharePoint installations?
Hi,at a customer of us there are duplicate entries in workflow inventory. They use Nintex for SharePoint 2019, 5.2.12.0.I found out that in the Nintex content database there are rows with an invalid WebApplicationId in the tables dbo.Workflows and dbo.PublishedWorkflows. In fact there is no WebApplication with this ID, and there is only one Nintex content database. As it seems to me, when the customer publishes such a workflow, a new row is created with the correct WebApplicationId. So workflow inventory shows a published version and a version 0.1 of the workflow. Is it safe to update the WebApplicationId in dbo.Workflows and dbo.PublishedWorkflows and to remove duplicate rows from dbo.Workflows? That way it would try to solve the problem.Regards, Andreas
I have a Nintex form where there is a panel that should be locked down in edit mode unless the person editing the form is a member of one of five groups. I read that this fn-IsMemberOfGroup function is limited to only two groups. This caused an error in the form - where some of the other approvers received an “this item had not been shared with you error”...fn-Or(fn-Or(fn-Or(fn-Or(fn-IsMemberOfGroup(“Group1”),fn-IsMemberOf(“Group2”)),fn-IsMemberOfGroup(“Group3”), fn-IsMemberOfGroup(“Group 4”),fn-IsMemberOfGroup(“Group 5”))))) && Is Edit ModeBasically, we don’t want the Created By/Requestor and their “manager” (a people picker field) to edit that panel...if the fn-IsMemberOfGroup is limited to only two groups - is there a different rule I can use to prevent the requestor in updating that panel?
I have created a list and form and sharepoint and have successfully submitted to it on previous occasions. Suddenly I am getting this error when I try to submit a new form. "Something went wrong. The outcome control is a requirement of the task. Please make sure it is available on the form"Firstly, I haven't created anything task related. Secondly, what is an outcome control?I have created a brand new list based on my existing list and have been able to submit an out-of-the-box SharePoint form to it successfully. It is only when I use the Nintex form that I get the error. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
There are two SharePoint 2013 lists, each with a Nintex form. Let's call them forms A and B, each attached to a workflow. Form A was connected to workflow A; and Form B was connected to workflow B. Everything ran fine. Then I must have done something, I don't know, but now a new list item for form-A runs workflow-B. In otherwords, I create a new item in list-A with form-A, but workflow-B gets triggered. It's been like this for a couple of weeks.Any ideas?
