I have a partner asking how to bring the URL of an attachment from a list item to the task form, allowing the approver to click the url to open the attachment. I recalled something I have done before which I haven't got a chance to blog it for sharing. So, here I am trying to extract part of the previously done workflow that is relevant for the objective of the discussed topic - "Assigning the attachment URL to a column of the same list item". 1. In the solution, I have a list with a column named "PictureUrl" (i.e. Single line of text) as shown in below diagram (i.e. this column is what I will need to store the attachment URL). 2. IssueI just discovered that renaming a repeating section on a form is not something that you should do if you already have items submitted into a list. Below is what the repeating section looked like originally.And this is what was displayed after I changed the name of the repeating section and re-published. RecoveryThe fix is to change the repeating section back to its original name. After doing that, the contents displayed correctly once again. So, if you (or someone else on your team) renames a repeating section, please be sure to capture its original name before you publish the change.

In this blog post I'd like to show how you can use the data submitted by Hawkeye beacons to create meaningful Power BI dashboards.  The emphasis being on pivoting the table data to use the beacon properties as columns. Before you create a Nintex Hawkeye Process Lens, you need to add some beacons to the processes you want to analyse.  These process beacons will log additional data and properties about the item based on what business rules were applied by the workflow.  In my example, I transmit the following properties using workflow beacons:Buyer Name City Country Purchase Classification Gender Purchase Amount Requested Discount Percentage Discount Amount Discount Applied Approval Status Once my workflow is running, Nintex records all this process beacon data and allows me to create a process lens in Hawkeye and export the Power BI template to Power BI Deskt

Question: I would like to have a repeating section in my leave request form that contains 4 fields.  When I put the fields into the repeating section, the fields lose their link to the list columns in SharePoint.  Could you direct me to a video or send me some documentation on setting up repeating sections?  Also, is it possible to have each repeating section create a new entry into the SharePoint List? This post intends to show printing correctly filled out Nintex forms without validation error summary messages and highlighted fields. Question:  Can I use “Is Edit Mode” to lock a form during editing? For example – someone submits the form and the workflow sends it to a group for review – group is Reviewer A, Reviewer B, Reviewer C. When I first started using using NWC back in the early preview days, the first workflows that I created used various Start Events from both Nintex (Public Web Form, Nintex Mobile, Scheduled Start, External Start) and some external connectors (like Salesforce & Dynamics CRM). As I jumped into NWC and started creating some workflows, I would pick a particular start event (say Public Web Form) and implement my workflow logic. Then I might decide that I want to test the same workflow logic but using a different start event, perhaps Nintex Mobile or Salesforce.  However, one cannot simply change Start Events if there are any references in the workflow to the Start Event variables.  These need to be removed before you can change the type of Start Event. After developing a few processes with Nintex Workflow Cloud, I realized the best bet is to always put your core workflow logic in a workflow using the External Start Event.   Then you can creat

Sometimes when you use an Action Set to execute and/or group some actions, it appears when part of the main flow.   It happens that when you have actions nested inside others, you'll have the possibility to mark them to run as the workflow owner only from the principal one. Only actions at the root path of the workflow will have the Run as Workflow Owner option.  If you have an action in any branch, this option will not be available.
