I would like a Workflow to be triggered when changes occur for documents held in a document set, but I do not want a Workflow to occur if a new Document set is created or properties change within the document set. In short if there is any modification made to the underlying documents or a new document is added to the document set then I want the WF to run ? Is this possible ?
Users must be able to get approval inorder to get access to a site. there is request form which will allow them to choose the site. after submitting the request it will go through approval proccess. So my question is ho can i get site owner's email address and use it for lazy approval.
I have been asked to take an excel document that is being used to capture data and turn it into a SharePoint form. The form will then be used to create a Tableau dashboard. (see example of form in screen shot). Background: Currently all the information is being gathered in an Excel document After the information is gathered in Excel, it will be enterd into the SharePoint/Nintex form The form will have several column types (Single Line, Multiple LInes, Choice, Date and Time, Person or Group, and Yes/No checkbox) From there a Tableau Dashboard will be built off the data in the SharePoint formprol Problem: What is the best way to capture the information in a Nintex form? Using repeating rows? or is there something else available? In the Excel document I already have more than 300 rows of data If I use Repeating Rows I need to make sure the data is accessible so it can be used in a Tableau dashboard. I am using SharePoint 2013 and Nintex Forms 2013. Also I am on a work enviromen
We have just updated today our environment SP 2016 from version 4.3.1.1 to the newest 4.4.1.0. The CSS formatting is no longer working. Badically, the form includes Choice buttons that are rendered as radio buttons in order to toggle the visibility of the Nintex form . Those radio buttons could not apply custom CSS (min-width and min-height properties). These styles cannot be applied even through the browser developer tools. This is an issue only on the farm that has the newest Nintex release. CSS styles work perfectly on the farm with the previous version of Nintex. Nintex versions Old: 4.3.1.1 New: 4.4.1.0 We have tried de-activate/re-activate the Nintex forms feature on the webapp level in CA, but that didn't fix it. any thoughts?
Hi,We have Sharepoint online and plan to start using it soon. One of the first uses of the company will be the Performance Review process.I've created a Sharepoint team site (currently a private site with me as the owner with full control, and my teammates as members with contribute permissions).I created a list, and a Nintex form and Nintex worfklow. The default permissions to the list are: Owners (Full Control), Members (Contribute), Visitors (Read). Each person should be able to create a list item via the form, and after he/she submits the form, the permissions should change. All permissions should be removed and then added as following: Site owners (full control), HR team (read, for the test I put me and another team member as HR personnel), the employee (read), the employee's managers (read) - which are in the members group. The workflow has a few steps of Updating Item Permissions (according to the previous explanation).I've created a Shared site and user administration connection (
I'm using Document Generation and on a trial Nintex Sign account. I'm trying to generate a document which will be sent for signature to different people. It appears to me that Nintex Sign is looking for a template to send for signature. Does anyone have a workflow example that can be shared to show how Nintex Sign is set up so that documents created by Document Generation can be sent out for signature? Thanks Andrew
I hope this post isn't too confusing. I'm including screen shots with markups to help explain what it is I'm trying to do... I have a form with a main "Parent" section. Below is a repeating section with "child" fields. The "Parent" section has a "Parent TSR" and "Parent TCR" field (currency values). These values can remain $0 if there is only ONE child in the repeating section. However, if a user clicks "Add New Row," then the "Parent TCR/TSR" would become required to be greater than $0.00. The validation rules I have set up on the "Parent TCR/TSR" fields are that if the total "Child Rows (repeating section)" is greater than 1, then the "Parent TCR/TSR" must be GREATER than $0.00. If there is only ONE row (no additional rows in the repeating section), then the "Parent TCR/TSR" is not required to be greater than $0.00. BUT... For each child row, the "Child TCR/TSR" cannot be treater than the "Parent TCR/TSR" if there is more than ONE child row. The combined sum of the children
We have migrated Nintex Form from SP 2010 to 2016. Below was the code to read selected value from dropdown in 2010 which is not working in Nintex 2016 forms NWF$("#" + ddlCountry).find("option:selected").text() We have used the below to fix in 2016. Do we have any other approach to read the dropdown value? NWF$("#" + ddlProduct).parent().find('select.nf-client-control > option:selected').text();
Is it possible to have a Submit (or Save) button on each page of a MultiPage Responsive Form? Thanks, Tom
I have an External Content type connected to a USP on an External SharePoint 2010 list using Business Connectivity Services. In a second associated list, I have no problem looking up and displaying an external data column and associated columns on the list view. However, in Nintex Forms, only the source column can be seen when I configure an External Data column. There is a section for Additional Fields available, but I can't figure out how to get these to show in the form. See the example below:The result I am looking for is to enable a user to select a project number from an External Data column, and to show the project client and description on the form. Any help in accomplishing this is appreciated.
I need to route a capital funding request spreadsheet stored in a SharePoint 2013 library as follows: 1-Manager form validation If approve, continue to Operations Manager If reject, end workflow If updates to spreadsheet are needed before continuing, notify requestor who will modify spreadsheet (once updates are made, start approval from the beginning) 2-Operations Manager Approval If approve, continue to Finance If reject, end workflow If updates to spreadsheet are needed before continuing, notify requestor who will modify spreadsheet (once updates are made, start approval from the beginning) 3-Finance Approval If approve, continue to President If reject, end workflow If updates to spreadsheet are needed before continuing, notify requestor who will modify spreadsheet (once updates are made, start approval from the beginning) 4-President Approval If approve, end workflow If reject, end workflow If updates to spreadsheet are needed before continuing, notify Finance who will modify sprea

We have a library that uses Nintex workflows (2016 on prem) to query a SQL database and update certain columns in the library. Sometimes, data changes in the underlying database and the user needs to get that data updated in SharePoint. We have a manually started workflow that the user accesses from the Item menu. However, the Nintex Start form opens in a new tab, and when there are several documents in the library that need to be updated, all of the new tabs that are created are annoying for our user.Is there any setting or other method of not creating a new tab when this Nintex Initiate Workflow form opens?
I am a newbie so I greatly apologize up fornt as this maybe a very simple solution and I am overthinking it with all the different ways of doing this. I've created several types of workflows however might be making it more complicated on rather to start off with Parallel Actions or into a switch or Branch by condition, value or state. Submit Form information for approval Status: moves from Draft to In Review Send Email Notifications & Request for Review & Approvals (send all at the same time) Email notification sent to group "watchers" Informative only. No action needed to take. Email notification /Flex Task sent to 3 different "Reviewers" that are required to update Status Columns and Comments in the log. The items log has a different fields to track their status & comments separately for each of them. Review Fields: for all 3 reviewers Reviewer Status - (AS) In Review Reviewed - w/Comments Reviewed - No Comments Reviewer Comments (AS) Reviewer Status - (RF) In
I have created and published the workflow and have full control permissions in the library (SharePoint 2013 ). All other users have contribute permissions to this library. If I start the workflow it works perfectly and the “Update item” actions update correctly throughout the workflow (ie. “Release State” and “Workflow Status” fields get updated) even if other users play the role of Checker or Approver but I have to start it. However, if any other user starts the workflow these fields Remain in WIP and do not get updated throughout the workflow until the last step when the item is Approved and the document is checked in. all other functions in the workflow work and tasks are issued and can be completed. I would like to also mention that I put the whole workflow within an action set. If I click the elevate permissions button and run the workflow then I also have the same issue as all the other users. The workflow status and Release state fields stay in WIP until the last step. The gen
Hi all, I am pretty sure that this is not supported, but let's give it a try. I need to open a new window after pressing the save button in Responsive Forms - so no JS. I thought about something like this: Possible? Cheers mai-kel
Hello, Currently I am using a List Lookup column type so users can select a "Transaction Name". With this, I would like to also pull the "Transaction Number" associated with the "Transaction Name" to use within the workflow. The list I'm referencing (Transaction List) resides on the same SharePoint Collection site as the Form. How can this be done? Thanks in advance!!! Hey! So, I'd like to get some functionality set up in my form and not sure how to go about it. To set the scene, I have a repeating section in my form, and one of the controls within the repeating section is a checkbox (yes/no). The end of the form has a button which is used as a 'Final Submission' and shouldn't be used until the actions which are all within the repeating section are complete. So, my problem, I want to be able to disable that Final Submission button until ALL of the checkboxes within the repeating section have been ticked but I'm not sure how to do this. Appreciate any assistance! Thanks, Mike.
I have an issue with Lazy approval. It is not functioning correctly. Below are the steps that I followed. I assigned a task using “Flexi Task” action. The task was rejected using Lazy Approval. When the outcome is rejected, I have a “Send to email” action that will send Reject notification to the requestor. What I noticed is that, in the rejected notification that is received by the “requester” (shown below), it includes the original “Task notification email” between the body of Rejected email (highlighted in Red in the below email) I expect it to show only what I specify in my “Send to email” action and not include the original Task assignment notification. Most importantly it gets embedded between the email body randomly pushing some of my sentences down to the bottom. I have the following two workflows; Workflow 1: Is scheduled to automatically run every night at 3pm to automatically update a date column with today's date. This workflow is needed because i have another condidtional column that uses the date to tell me how long until a document is up for renewal. Workflow 2: Workflow two does a few things, but most importantly it sends out an email when a document is updated or added to the sharepoint list. This issue i am having is that every night at 3pm when the SharePoint library updates the date field, it triggers the other workflow and sends out an email for each document in the SharePoint library. I only want Workflow 2 to trigger when a document has been added or modified. I tried terminating workflow 2 by adding an action in for terminating workflow in workflow 1, but that didn't work. Does anyone have any recommendations to fix the workflow so that workflow 1 does not trigger workflow 2? I have added picture of the two workflows.
1. I have created a NINTEX form with tab like functionality. 2. I have multi-line textbox (MLT) in Tab1 or MainForm. Let's say this is MLT_Tab1. 3. I have another MLT in Tab2 or Workflow. Let's say this is MLT_Tab2. 4. When I create new item, text color of text in MLT_Tab1 is gray. Then I have to click on Save and Continue button to change it to black. After clicking on Save and Continue button, it changes it's text color to black. 5. When I change the tab from Tab1 to Tab2, text color in MLT_Tab2 is gray. Then again I have click on Save and continue to change text color from gray to black. Now, if I click on Tab1, text color in MLT_Tab1 is gray. 6. I am not facing such problem with single line textbox. In short, I would like to keep the text color of all multi-line textboxes in all tabs to be black all the time. I don't want to keep on clicking Save and Continue button everytime. Is there a way? Thanks. Refer to attached photos.
Hi All, I am new in sharepoint and i have a requierment to convert Nintex form in to PDF and then need to send it as an attachment in email. Can someone guide me how it possible. Thanks MIS
HTML emails are tricky even outside Nintex Workflows. Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, etc all render html differently, so trying to format an email that looks good in all of them is tough. However, there are a couple of bits that I can suggest that can help.1. Put content inside a HTML Table: This is probably the smallest amount of work for the biggest gain. If you present your information inside a 700px wide table (transparent) it will render correctly in almost any size view. I've found that 700px is a good size for "mail previews" like Gmail and Outlook. I do this by having a the code (see attached text file), either first in last in your "build string" for email, OR the first thing (and last thing) in any build string repeating process (as well as the ending as noted in file. NOTE: The code also sets a consistent font type and size for anything inside of it.2. Forget CSS use Inline Styling: Some email clients will respect CSS others won't, easiest way to cover them all is to set any styling
Hoping this is an easy ask and surprisingly I didn't come across any forum questions of the same. In SP2013, I have a currency field that is set to 2 decimals. It is a static field so in the form, this field populates when you click edit item. The field however, is not showing the dollar sign in front of the number. Any ideas? thanks!
Hi all, I was wondering if there is a way to make a Nintex form or the SP list verify when an item is being created if a similar item already exists and, if it does, forbid the item creation. I have a form where the user insert two company afilliates and a USD value. What i wish is that if someone tries to create an item between affiliate A and affiliate B by "X" amount, but this item already exists in the list, that the form/list forbid the creation of the new item, avoiding a duplicated item. I found something about "enforce unique values" in the SP list but I'm not sure if it would solve the situation, since i would have more than one logical condition. Is it possible to do it in a Nintex form or SP list somehow? I couldn't find a solution online, maybe because I don't know how to ask the right question Thanks a lot!
