Nintex Workflow

I have a workflow that includes the following features:A form collects information from a user The form includes a signature The workflow generates a document from the information in the form (including the signature) The signature and document are stored in OneDrive When I view the instances, I see all of the form data there (in the Instance Start Data), which includes a reference to the signature path (but it is not clear if that is the path in OneDrive). My 3 related questions:Does Nintex store the generated document or it is only stored in OneDrive? Does Nintex store the signature or is it only stored in OneDrive? For the other form fields, is there a way to have the data removed from a completed or failed Instance after a period of time, either automatically or manually, perhaps by deleting the instance? I don't see a delete option.  Alternatively, is there an option

The current capability that Nintex Workflow Cloud has it to update a SharePoint list item based on a field which it works great but when I try to add an attachment to an item I required the ID to be able to attach that document. When you create a new item you can pull the ID to attach the documents but if you are updating an item you do not get the ID your are updating. Is there anyone out there that have a similar issue and came up with something, or is there something I'm missing or I don't know how to do? Any help will be appreciated.

I have a Nintex Workflow Cloud form that generates a PDF.  This form allows users to upload multiple pictures.  I am looking for a way to embedded the pictures into the PDF that is generated.     Does anyone have a solution for this?

I am assigning a task to a user with "Assign a task" action.  I have a requirement to show this Task URL in a dashboard in SharePoint. We are using a workflow to kickoff an approval task. The source system triggers the workflow API, we lookup the approver and send them a task. There are some situations where the submitter would want to "recall" the approval request to make a change or cancel the request where they'd click the button in the source system and I need it to update my workflow. I'd LIKE it to set the task status to recall to end the task and move to the next step of updating the DB, etc. but I'm struggling to find a way to do this. If I have the "recall" button terminate the workflow I lose out on all the updates I need to happen to the DB, etc. Any ideas how to program this?

This new Assign a task to multiple users function is confusing me. I have a form that must go first to multiple users (with the first response completing the task). This task has a form with it too, which contains a lot of the data from the start event form. So the first of these multiple users (reviewers) completes the task by completing the second form and submitting it. If the reviewer approves the form, it must then go to another, single user for final approval. This, too, is with a form. But here's the thing: for this third form, I want to pull data from the second form. But I can't! It's all grayed out and I can't access it.Using the Assign a task function, you can pull data from one task into a subsequent task - but it seems that with the Assign a task to multiple users function, you can't. Is it supposed to be this way? And if so, why?

I have a form variable that will be populated from a query string parameter.  But I need to make sure that this value is populated and is not removed from the URL.  Is there any way to require this value, perhaps by showing an error when the form loads to indicate that a required value is missing and not allow the user to submit the form?

The past few days while putting on the finishing touches of a workflow I've been developing for 3 weeks, I am getting this frequent error message "operationId is required". In the Instance activities, the last row I'll see is either: Update items (Waiting) or Retrieve an item (Waiting) with a Status of Failed in red. Expand it and I get 'Detailed error message is unavailable for this action.' No other details are given. This seems to be related to only SharePoint Online actions. It happens either during SharePoint 'Retrieve an Item' or SharePoint 'Update Items'. (I'm only updating 1 row though, the row the flow was triggered by). This is a hit or miss situation, sometimes the actions work fine and move right along to other parts of my flow. The errors happen at various different SharePoint actions within my flow design so it's not always the same action failing. I have about 10 SharePoint actions at different areas in the flow, all running sequentially so

I have a form that will include Terms of Use or similar language.  This will be several paragraphs of formatted text (headings, bold, and even some links).  I would like to save this language along with the other form fields each time a form is submitted, in part because this language may change over time and I want to track which version the user agreed to. I can't use a straight label for this, because the label text is not a field that can be saved elsewhere (like SharePoint).  I am trying to use a text variable instead.  The text variable can be saved with the form and I can embed the text variable as the content of a label.  Therefore, what the user sees on the screen will always match what gets saved. However, the text variable has a few shortcomings:1 - It does not natively allow for formatted text. Instead, I need to manually embed html tags into the string.  It would be great if variables supported rich text natively.2 - If I embed

Hello, I am using Nintex Workflow Cloud and I have about 20 Yes/No toggle switches on my form. I think because they are Boolean, that when I generate the document, the Yes becomes "true" and No becomes "false". I have been trying to figure out a way to change those values so they would continue to read "Yes" and "No" in the final document generation. Is there an easy way to fix this? I do not want to change from using the toggle switches. Thank you very much for any guidance you could give me!

Hi there,  I currently have a workflow where I need to get the current day of the week (Mon,Tue,Wed etc), so that I am able to add the correct amount of business days before the workflow auto approves. I was previously using an API to retrieve this, but it seems that API stopped working. I would prefer to use an in house Nintex function, and wondered if this was possible? Thanks for your help!

Using NWC, I will distribute a form where the form URL will include a parameter that corresponds to a form control (using getQueryStringParameter).  The URL parameter will be unique to each recipient.  I do not want recipients to see the form control in the form, but when the form is submitted, I want the value of that form control (provided by a parameter using getQueryStringParameter) to be available. But if the form control is hidden using any standard technique (the field is not visible, there is a rule that hides the form control or the form control is in a hidden group), then the value is not available. The best I could do (i.e., kludge) is to give the form control label generic text (like "Thanks for filling out this form") and set its styling so that the field itself blends into the background of the form. Is there another way to do this, such as using custom CSS?  I don't know of any way to apply custom CSS to a NWC form and this ca

My company uses SharePoint online and since yesterday Nintex Workflow Cloud.   Is there a way to create a news article in SharePoint Online out of a workflow from the Nintex Workflow Cloud?     The workflow should look like this: When a new item in a list is created, the workflow starts, takes the data from the list item and creates with it a news article in Sharepoint Online.

I'm using a Data Lookup to display data from a SharePoint list. It displays the picklist values on the Start Form. But, how can I set this field so it has a value preselected? i.e. "Default Value". The need for this is: Start Form shows a bunch of fields, one of them is a Data Lookup which displays a list of 50 US States. The user selects Maryland. (The ID for Maryland is 23 back in the SharePoint list of rows) The workflow then runs and stores all the fields into a new row in the "purchase order" SharePoint list and it correctly sets the "State" field to ID 23. State field is a Lookup datatype in "purchase order" SharePoint list. Then, the workflow routes to a manager so they can approve/reject the form. The manager needs to see and be able to change all values. I then load from SharePoint that freshly new row (using SharePoint - Retrieve an Item) and can put all the values on the form so the manager can see what the employee entered. I can even put the

Hello team,This is a multi-part question/problem, however, I'm trying to achieve something so common and simple. Here is the scenario.I have a list of schools, and each school has a list of buildings with the data stored in a SQL DB. 1) Using a NWC Form, a user selects a school (for review) and a reviewer and starts a new workflow. 2) A Task is assigned to the reviewer selected in step 1.3) The Task is opened and the user can see the details of the school (multiple fields) and a list of the buildings that need to be reviewed. Here comes my first of Issues:  - In order for me to populate the Task form with data from SQL, I need to create a 1 SQL statement action for each field I wish to show on the form, then I need to "Get an Item from the collection", within the workflow (Pre-Task) and finally I need to create a Form Loaded rule to display the value on the form. Hi all - I'm very new to NWC, so I concede that I may just be overlooking some simple step.I've developed a form with a Data lookup field that queries a SharePoint Online list. Everything (data source, connector) seems to be set up fine, and when I test the workflow the lookup works perfectly and provides a dropdown of the choices from the list.However, when I publish the workflow and run it, the field is empty - the dropdown says "No data provided."What's happening here?Thanks for any help that can be given.

Is there a way to append a file with (2) if a file with the same name already exists? Currently, the 'Move a File' connection for Box.com errors out if a file with the same name exists and the entire workflow ends.  THANKS! 

How deep can Call a Workflow actions be nested? I remember having read some time ago about a depth of 2: One workflow can call another workflow and that is it. But my simple test today showed that I can call deeper in NWC than 2.Can anyone shed some light here? Was the limitation of 2 maybe from NW Online? I'd like to know the real limitations. Any link to documentation that I couldn't find apparently is appreciated.

I am putting a date in a list using NWC, and trying to build a site workflow comparing the date stored to the current date. I want to pull any items with a date less than today's date.  In the site workflow, I created a variable to store the current date, then in the O365 list query, I set it to look for any items with dates less than the variable and send them to a collection. My sample data has 2 items with dates less than today, and one in the future, so this should be pulling the two items.However, I got an empty collection. So I logged the date variable and the collection items and here's the results:It displays correctly in my list:The only reason I can see that it wouldn't

Hi, Will the turning off of SharePoint 2010 workflow functionality in SharePoint Online have any affect on the Nintex Workflow products for the cloud?? And if not, will turning of SP2013 workflow functionality in the Cloud in the future affect the cloud Nintex Workflow product??

Hi, all - NWC newbie here with another question. Is there a way to have the Submit button act as a 'Cancel' button?I have a form that really doesn't need a workflow. It's basically just a worksheet to help certain employees determine which IRS form they're going to need. Form data isn't being submitted or saved anywhere. So what I'd like the Submit button to do is just clear all the data from the form and start over (in case the employee wants to do that).I tried having the form redirect to itself upon submission but that doesn't seem to do anything.Any way to do this?
