Upgrade Completion Rules for assigning a task to multiple users

I find the completion rules for assigning a task to multiple users restricting. In case all assignees must respond, the workflow itself will always determine the outcome based on the majority outcome:“When all assignees have responded, the workflow will proceed using the outcome with the majority of responses. In the case of a tie, the majority outcome with the first response is used.”This frustrates me. Some examples:If I assign an approval task to 20 assignees to Approve/Decline a request and one assignee declines, I want to be to determine the task outcome. Now it will always be Approved If I assign an approval task to 20 assignees to Approve/Decline a request and 15 assignees decline and 5 approve, the task outcome will always be Declined. But who determined that I needed a majority to approve the request? That is our internal evaluation.I am forced to create a work around for both task outcomes by looping trough the task outcomes and determining the follow-up tasks based on that.M

How do I filter Instances for Nintex Scheduled Start events

I want to monitor all my Scheduled Start workflow but its difficult as the custom filter in Instance does not have a filter for Nintex Scheduled Start events. My current workaround is to include a keyword into the Workflow name

How to disable the Subscription warning in Automation Cloud NAC

Is it really necessary to show the expiration warning to everyone? Can the Subscription expiration warning be disabled for...Priority: MyNintex Users and Business Owners Designers  Just limit the expiration warning to Admins and Global Admins

Prevent admins from seeing form submission data?

is there a NAC setting to prevent automation and global admins from seeing form submission data in the workflow instance UI? one of the workflows is managing confidential HR data that even admins should not see.Thanks!

SharePoint Conneection not available in Nintex Automation Cloud

I am a Global Admin in our Nintex Automation Cloud environment.  I have a connection to Sharepoint which I have used before.  The permissions for this connection show that I am the owner and everyone is a user for this connection.  I tried to use it in a workflow today and it didnt appear as a choice of connection to use. I had another user also test and she could not use the connection either.  She was not an owner of the connection.  I looked at my previous workflow that used the connection and its broken there too.

People Picker returning text to send in an email

Hi all, I have a people picker in my form that I want the end user to add multiple names to. I am then trying to get the email and the name of the people in the picker, and include it into an email.I’ve tried many different methods to do this (loop for each, text to string, get item from collection) and I either get just the last person added to the people picker or everyone that is in the people picker with lines and lines of code.Thank you in advance!

Best Practices to capture a NAC Workflow for Documentation

What is the Best Practices to capture a NAC Workflow for Documentation purposes?Since NAC doesn’t not have a feature to export or print the workflow, what can be done to capture the workflow for Documentation purposes? Some methods which I currently utilize is to:Screen capture - snip and stitch into a single large image. + Great for a single time. -  Painful if have to do it weekly. Configuration is not capture Diagram it with Visio, Lucidchart or Draw,io Write Pseudocode using a programming language like Python + Linear and conditional flow is easy to replicate - State Machine harder to replicate with “switch” structure.  Is there going to be a PRINT or EXPORT feature for NAC?

Nintex Automation Cloud - how to the user's check-in comment on publish major version

I have an automation cloud workflow that fires on the SPO Check-in and Publish Major version event, however I am not able to get the user’s check-in Comment from the Start Event - it’s not available as a start value nor as a value from querying the list/library after commencement.Apart from having to a HTTP request as parse XMLor JSON, is there an alternate method to get this?TIARob

Create a reusable workflow for auto numbering a form ID with prefixes and year change?

Hi there,I need to be able to have a a reusable workflow to Auto Number the [Title] field or other selected field based on other fields.The number must be 3 digits i.e. 001.  (to 999 max)Example AB-[Year]-[Type]-001Where the combinations of year and type is different the number will reset to 001 (year change).This will be activated on new forms with the option to be included on edit form.Has anyone done this? Can provide support? Might be able to purchase this solution/support if reasonable?Any ideas/pointers please thanks.

How to archive or export NWC workflow if no longer in use

What is the best option for decommissioning or archiving workflows in Automation Cloud?  In the on-premises environment, we could export the workflow before deleting it which allowed us to easily recreate the same workflow if a similar workflow was needed in the future.  The current export functionality only allows you to move to a new environment within 3 days which is not optimal. It looks like the only other option is to make a copy and keep in draft format which makes it difficult to manage when you have hundreds of workflows.  Is there a future feature that is coming to allow archiving or similar functionality?

Two step form

Hi all, Nintex newbie here, so sorry if this is a super basic question!What I am trying to accomplish is basically a two step form. Step one will give basic details about an incident that has occurred and the first step will send a notification to a distribution list as well as a link to the reporter to complete the second step. The second step of the process will be a kind of continuation of the first form - with further detail of the incident that has occurred. The details of this will be saved into a Sharepoint List.What is is best/easiest way to complete this? Any tips would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

Trim DateTime from SharePoint and embed in Loop for Each

Hi I am trying to trim date/time extracted from SharePoint to date only and embed it in a message after Loop for Each.The date/time field may be empty.The message i receive is populating duplicate dates from a line item for blank fields. Is there a way to solve this?Thank you.

NAC Form - Set People Control to logged in user

Is it possible to populate the people control in a Nintex Automation Cloud form that is set to Authenticate users in this tenant with the authenticated person.I note in Nintex Forms for O365, there is a way to do this with a rule as is shown in this video.But I don’t see an option to set the value of a people control in the form rules. Customizing the Form Plugin - 4 Column grid with Sorting

Hi @SeeDee  The 4 Column grid with Sorting is a great start. Is there going to be an updated version of this Grid PluginIs there any plans to improve the plugin in the next release (current release is ver 1.1) The plugin does comes with several limitations.Need to increase the Data size to 20k from 2k characters Shorten the “ColumnHeader1” - This uses up data string length (in Item #1). Suggest “Col1”, “Col2” etc Enable the Grid Plugin to have Pagination features. Add → pagination: true,  (default of 10 items per page)   Enable the Grid Plugin to have Search features  Will this form plugin feature be extended to O365 New Responsive Form?Hope to hear updates about the Form Plugins

Latest release: May 2023 - Release 1

Reuse Repeating section Form control: If you add a Repeating section control to a form, you can now also reuse it as a start event variable by dragging and dropping it onto a task form. This is a great added feature but still lacking on functionality. You can only display the repeating section from a start form to task forms. This is still very restrictive for all business needs that are out there. We are still lacking the following components for repeating sections in NAC that make it difficult as we migrate from Nintex Workflow for Office 365 to NAC.  Make repeating sections open for editing after drag/drop or add default value on repeating sections to pass start event variable through to this configuration. They should act as a default concept and editable if we allow it for task owners to edit if needed. Not all processes include just reviewing data on a task form. Some processes actually involve task owners editing information on the task form and handing it over to another queue

Date/time variable conversion in Regional settings Regional settings allows you to set a Timezone and Locale for your workflow, which will convert and format Date Time variables in text fields within emails, tasks, Generated document actions, etc., without the need for manual conversions. I strongly suggest to use a large date value such as 20, 28, 30, 31 to clearly differentiate between the Date value and the Month value.Use 30th Sept. to remove the ambiguity. Readers will be able to differentiate between the Date value and the Month value.Using 3rd Sept is a poor decision in the Workflow Setting screen

create an item at SharePoint only if it does not exist already

Hi I am trying to find a way to add an item to SP list only when it does not exist before. Below is my workflow, however by using Loop for each, it will create duplicate items depending on the number of items already at SP. Is there a way to fix it? Maybe adding a condition in Create an Item action or add a new action to delete duplicate items? Thanks vm!

Nintex Workclow Cloud form: Order form with ArticleNr lookup field and auto-populated article metada possible?

Hey there!I’m currently trying to migrate/recreate an order form to/with Nintex Workflow Cloud. The main challenge is a field called ArticleNr where the customer enters the article number and in the back a lookup will find the corresponding metadata (article type, article description etc.) and prefill other fields of the form.The article database contains of 40.000 items. I tried to keep the solution “slim” and used a sharepoint online list as my new “not best practice and not best performance” database. Now I tried to get the data and logic into the form, but...I already tried the lookup control with a configured data source. But there's a limitation of 5.000 items per lookup. I wanted to query the sharepoint list - but as far as I can see only the workflow engine can do that, not the form itself. Some forum posts suggested a webservice Call against the list, but I guess this is a reference to old Nintex forms where JavaScript was possible.Has someone already done something similar or

Send email from SP list without duplicate/missing item for the last individual

Hi I have a workflow where i want to sort the list from SharePoint by email and send a table/list to each individual on a weekly basis (Scheduled start).However I am encountering an issue with the last person in the list. I am either missing the last item in the list to the person or sending duplicate item to the person when I have the Branch by Condition action built in. Below is the workflow I have atm.Not sure if I could make the email to recipient clear enough.This is a follow-up question to the one posted last week:
