Nintex Workflow

My Nintex Automation cloud’s workflow makes use of a Nintex form, On Form submissions my Nintex Workflow cloud form is creating SharePoint list items and then initiating a multistage(Branch By Stage) workflow. Due to some issue in a specific Stage of th workflow several instances(up to 100 instances) failed. My SharePoint list is not having the Instance ID stored in it. Is there a way I can map my List Item IDs to the failed instance IDs and export the Failed instance data so that I can see what all Instances/List Items failed?I have a workflow variable that tracks the SharePoint list item id from the Create SharePoint List item action, can it be retrieved using the Nintex Workflow Cloud API.I’m referring to SharePoint Online.

I have looked for an example of this and unfortunately cannot find anything for what I believe is common operation: Get the value of a specific column by name using JSON Path Query Sharepoint list - easyLoop through the collectionGet Item from collection     this is where I get lost,     must use a JSON Path Query but all examples I find expect a header for the data.      Like this:       my data is like{“Column”:”data”, “Column”:”data” etc. .. }How to query for the value of a specific column????? Thanks you

I am building a simple workflow to save a web form to a SharePoint site. The workflow runs as follows:Start Event: Form > Get a file > Generate document > Get item from collection > Store a file > Workflow complete. The SharePoint document library was created with columns to match the form variables in the workflow.  When the file is stored, is there a way to auto-populate the SharePoint columns with the data entered in the web form?

Hi all,Wondering how you keep track of the number of workflow executions against your licensed allocation? Are you on the per-execution license model or the old per-workflow model? We’ve had two Nintex consultants try and create a workflow that would tell us how many workflow executions have occurred during a license period (ie. a year).  Neither has been successful. The only way we are currently able to check how we’re tracking against our allocated number of executions is manually using Nintex analytics - a really poor solution for an automation platform!!!!It was suggested we do a once-per-day report so we can at least know if any of our workflows are going crazy - which has happened to us twice. The first time we exceed our license allocation 10x and the second we used 50% of our allocation in four days.  As it stands, there’s no way of being alerted to this or limiting the number of times a workflow executes.Has anyone else done a daily workflow execution report or similar?Really ke

I guess I just realized something. I have a document library in SharePoint Online that is storing items (usually PDF documents) put there by an NAC workflow, using the Store a file function. There are now over 2,700 items in this document library and I need to set up a means, presumably through a Scheduled start workflow, of deleting some of them on a regular basis (say, after they’ve been there for 90 days). But it seems that there is no NAC function for deleting files in a document library. Is this right? NAC will store the files but it can’t remove them?I tried the Delete items function but it's meant for a SharePoint list. I can select the Documents folder as the “list” from which I need to delete items, but the items I need to delete are in a subfolder within the Documents folder. I don’t see a way to drill down to that subfolder and delete only certain items within it.Is this not possible to do in NAC?

Hi all. Wondering if others have had the misfortune of creating a recursive workflow/infinite loop in Automation cloud?  If so, how did you detect it and how many workflows did it trigger?

Hi All, I have created 2 workflows: Main Workflow and GM Workflow in Nintex Automation Cloud. In the Main Workflow, General Manager approval is required at the 2nd stage. In the GM Workflow, when an email is passed, it finds the General Manager's name (refer attachment). I created this separately so that in the future, if another workflow requires GM approval, I don’t need to repeat the same logic and can retrieve the name from the "GM Workflow".I would like to use the GM name in the "Main workflow" for the 2nd stage approval task once the Main Workflow initiator's email is passed to the "GM workflow".Please can anyone help if this is possible else will merge GM logic in Main workflow. Thanks & Regards

HiI’m still newbie to NAC and this might be a basic question sorry if that’s the case.  When working in a start event form, I’ve noticed that I cannot use anything dynamic (besides what’s available in the Context object) in any field’s Default Value property.  I find that a bit weird, I know I can use rules to do pretty much anything, but why can’t I just do something like below: Let’s say I have 2 text fields txt1 and txt2, and I want the value of txt2 to be the uppercase of txt1.  Simplest solution would be to set:txt2.DefaultValue = UpperCase(txt1.value)but I can’t. Instead I have to add a rule as follows:If txt1.value is not blank, then txt2.value = UpperCase(txt1.value) What’s strange is that I can do exactly that in other properties, such as Visible, Required etc… in other words, instead of using a rule to set up field visibility, I can write a formula using the txt1 value (or any other field or variable) e.g.txt2.Visible = txt1.Value == “something”  Am I missing something there

Attachment is not showing on the taskform. I.e approvers can't see the attachments on their form when approving the task.

I am attempting to combine multiple Collections and then export to an excel file.I hope I am missing something easy. The form is a new user form where the requestor needs to select multiple items: Business Units, Applications, and Roles. The output needs to have a row for each combination, including the user ID.So each user could have multiple BUs , multiple apps , and roles unique for each app.I am finding it a challenge to combine these all together. I hoped to create one big Collection.Merging the collections does not work because the some values (BU and APP) must be repeated many times.I can’t see where I can I can add a “Property name” for a field except in a merge. I woukld think I could fo multiple For each loops but I cant see how to add into a collection I can used with Doc Gen repeating data.I can force it by hard coding the BU or APP name into it but then I end up with gaps of empty space if items are not selected. I have created secondary collections that just have one value

Can document generation support a multiple-choice action in a repeating section? I created a repeating section with two multiple-choice actions; however, the document tagger gave me a ‘Nested Collections are not supported’ message. I cannot tag these variables. See a screenshot of the document tagger with the error message.

HiI’m coming from a Sharepoint+Nintex backgroud, and there is an out of the box global delegation that we can set up very easily for when someone goes on prolonged leaves. Is there a way to do this with Nintex AC ? I can’t find a built in option to perform this, nor can I imagine a way to do that via a workflow.Maybe there’s an API ? Thanks in advance

How to put label background color in the form

Hi I have the following use case and not sure how to go about it. Our nintex AC form has a few fields that should only be visible for selected people and of course to the person who submits the form. My problem is that once the form is submitted, any workflow participant (anyone who gets a task or approval basically) will be able to see the original form, including these fields I don’t want them to see.  Is there a way to do this ?  It’s an authenticated form so I have the current user from the context (and I can tell if they should see the secured fields or not), but where I’m stuck is how do I know if the form has already been submitted and is showing in “read mode” ?

In NAC we keep hitting the workflow design limit of 20mb. We are re-designing the way the workflow has been built to mitigate this. However it would be very useful to know the current size of the workflow design so we can figure out how close we are to this limit again. Anyone know how to find this out?

I’m trying for the first time to create multiple (separate) PDFs with the Generate document action. My workflow will generate up to five such documents. All of these documents are using the same Word document as their template. Some of the data will be the same on all documents; others will be different on each one.It seems that I need to save up to five versions of the same Word document, and tag each with the data that applies to it, in order for this to work. Is that right? Like I said, this is the first time I’ve tried this particular functionality. I’ve reviewed the Nintex University course on this topic and it doesn’t seem to contemplate this scenario where the workflow is producing separate documents based on the same template.

How I can put condition on the decision, if the credit limit more that 7000 disable approve choice and automaticly choose escalatenote that, the credit limit is feild in the form

Hello,In the last week or so, it seems that all of the Smartsheet actions only return the first 100 sheets available in the connection. Previously, it returned all of them (as far as we could tell). Now, we’re unable to create or change actions that deal with sheets not included in the first 100. We have a custom xtension that’s working fine, but we’re telling it to return 999 sheets instead of the default 100.  Can anyone else with Smartsheet confirm that this is happening in their environment as well? We have a case with support, but so far I don’t think we’ve heard of any changes.  Thanks!

Hi!I am trying to update a column in a SPO list for a single item when a form is submitted. The column updates but I can’t figure out why my Title is being changed at the same time and being identically named to the item I just created…You can see below that item on top was 12 but when I added the 2nd item, it changed the Title to the same name.

I have a Nintex Automated Cloud form link that is being sent to all members of my company that when filled out and submitted the data will be used to update a specific list item. How can I restrict users to only be able to submit the form once as their user data is not captured upon submission?

When I create a document template using Microsoft Office and then upload it to Google Drive and save it in DOCX format . However, when the generate document action occurs, there is an error as follows. Is there any solution for this?

Is there a way to automate the the the data n the new Tables feature? We have a desire to use the tables but also want to update the data once a week. We would prefer to not manually upload every week.I checked the API documetation but did not see anythinghttps://developer.nintex.com/docs/nc-api-docs/f3b160a1aa841-nintex-automation-cloud-api

When using the Date/Time form control, is there a way for make the first day of the week Monday instead of Sunday? That would line up more for Europe.I have tried to set the workflows default time zone  local format but that does not change the form. The regional settings on the form are grayed out.

Hi all! So that users of my form know that they are using the correct version of the form that I have built, is it possible to display on the form what version number of the form and potentially the date of publish (not necessary) without having to do it manuallly? Thanks in advance!
