Using on-prem SP & Nintex 2016.I need to copy the value in a managed, metadata field called Route. The javascript client ID is vRouteMMD. The target field is called RouteCopy with a javascript client ID of vRouteCopy. RouteCopy is not connected to any column. I have used the follow javascript (note the "alert" returned 'undefined' when un-commented). RouteCopy does not get populated. I have tried numerous variations on this code, but no joy.    Its seems so simple . . .NWF$(document).ready(function(){var varRouteMMD = NWF$('#' + vRouteMMD).val();//alert(varRouteMMD);NWF$('#' + vRouteCopy).val(varRouteMMD); });Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!-Ken

In Nintex Promapp, I used a Process Search report to get the list of required processes. In the generated report, I noticed that some of the processes were listed as Unpublished status and some with In Progress. I tracked the Unpublished process in Promapp. The status of the process in Promapp was In Progress. What is the significance of the Unpublished status in reports?Â
Current Version V1.8 Below is a link to a video that will help you create Multilingual forms. http://www.k2.com/multilingualsmartforms_video V1.8 Translates tab header text. V1.7.1 Translates both normal and data labels. V1.7 If you used the resource editor to generate a language file from a webpage, any words ending with three dots ‘…’ would cause a smartform the break. This has now been resolved. V1.5 Changes made to work with k2 smartforms 1.0.2. (use V1.4 for k2 smartforms.
Hi I created a workflow and I have a loop that is set to start if changes are made to four columns. Lets say my columns are f1, f2, f3, or f4.   Let say I have 10 columns but I want to start the loop only if f1 or f2 or f3 or f4 have been modified. Can I set a condition based on when a column was modified?   How do I do that?Â

Hello, I have 2 individual sites, one keeps records of Contracts and the other keeps records of Legal Issues. Recently I was asked to Merge both the sites so that it can be controlled based on the Area of Expertise (Contracts or Legal) the respective form will load. I got the concept of views where the person logged in will see only those which he/she has submitted, so if i can manage both the Forms as Web Parts - first based on the Area of Expertise the form will load and in open cases it will show only those records that of the active user logged. Â The Second challenge is when the Admin is logged he/she needs to see all the records - Open, Closed, Cancelled. The data is in 2 tables, with few fields in common, the record id would be unique but naturally. Need help in understanding how to get the 2 forms active and the data view for all the records categorized - Contracts | Legal Thank you in Advance. Venkat
Over the last several weeks we have defined what operational excellence is, highlighted the approaches for a Center of Excellence (CoE) and how to structure it. Within the CoE we discussed what business maturity is and how it can impact your CoE and wound up the material with governance, funding and how to measure success of your CoE. So, is a Center of Excellence right for you?  While a CoE can certainly add value, it’s not always going to be the most appropriate delivery approach. Before investing in, and setting up a CoE, a few questions need to be answered:  Is a CoE a fit for all Organizations?  Not necessarily. Establishing a full CoE will not be a fit for everyone, however certain elements of the CoE material might that we’ve discussed may still be relevant. For example, if an IT department is being overwhelmed with requests from the LoB to build solutions, they might just need to define an engagement process to formalize how requests are made, assessed, built etc. rather th

If you’ve got this far in our Blog series, it’s safe to assume that you see the value that a Center of Excellence (CoE) could bring to your organization. Establishing and running a CoE however is not free, so in this post I’m going to explore the different approaches that you can take to funding your CoE.    To begin, let’s consider the costs that are involved in establishing and running a CoE.  Your fixed costs are the expenses that your CoE will incur even if it doesn’t deliver any use cases, such as the salaries and on-costs of staff, the materials that are used (from stationery to office space), as well as any shared infrastructure. There also may be some licensing costs that you consider a fixed cost – Promapp for example is often considered a fixed cost as it is typically procured and then opened to the business for general use. Your variable costs in contrast are the costs that you incur to deliver specific use cases and will often involve licensing (for example delivering a u
In my workflow I need to convert a date string into a date. The input language is Dutch ("maart" being "March"). What did I not configure right? I'm getting a conversion error saying the input value does not match the date format. (I looked up the culture at http://www.basicdatepicker.com/samples/cultureinfo.aspx)The conversion works fine with English language input:
In our last episode we discussed the importance of Governance and presented a Framework to help guide you through the process. Our ideas have been designed, developed and deployed but how do we know if we have been successful? This week we discuss ways to measure the success of your CoE.  Defining Measures of Success - you need to determine what success looks like for your Center of Excellence. Once your OPEX machine starts ticking along you’re going to identify far more use cases than your Center of Excellence can deliver, so having a clear idea of what success looks like will enable you to decide which request are worth building, as well as prioritize your backlog. You can also use these metrics as a baseline for improvement and report progress against them.   Referring back to the Governance Framework, once an idea has been generated, it needs to be assessed by the Project Review Board to determine if it should be built or not. As part of this assessment, the use case should
Hi all, This is a quick video to show off the new List Lookup control with cascading.Â
Last week we went through the structure of your Center of Excellence (CoE) setting out the need for an Executive Sponsor and the necessary staffing required to be successful. Now we will examine why Governance important for a successful and effective CoE.    If you add every idea immediately into your book of work, you are bound to create solutions that really shouldn’t be created; either because doing so would breach internal or external rules/ regulations or simply would not be a valuable use of your CoE’s resources. To avoid this, you need to establish a governance framework. This governance framework is structured to identify opportunities, review those opportunities, resources the development and delivery of a solution and conduct a retrospective of each. Let's walk through each stage.           Idea Generation:   At this stage there is outreach to teams, business units, individuals soliciting input.  Often a campaign is initiated with a moniker of "transformation, opti
In the broadcast today, Pat said how important communication was to keep everyone updated. So do people send a communication only when there is something new to communicate or is it better to send something at least once a week even if there is not much to say?
Using an ipad to navigate to SharePoint (on-prem) through safari I open my responsive form and add some information. I am able to add information into managed metadata control and the options available are from the correct term set. I select a country "United Kingdom" and save on the tablet. The item is saved but with no data in the managed metadata column.Has anyone else experienced this?
After exploring the various delivery models, you might have now decided that the best way for you to run your Operational Excellence (OPEX) program is by setting up a CoE. You’ve got the green light from your leadership team, so the question now becomes where do you start?  To paraphrase the formal definition that I gave for a CoE in my earlier post, What is a CoE?, I called out that a CoE is comprised of highly skilled people who develop and deliver best practices within their area of specialty.  A good starting point then would to be decide who these highly skilled people are, and how they should work together.  To do this, you will need to design a structure for your CoE. While there is no one structure that will work for every organization, here is a framework that you can use as a starting point:   Let’s take these one by one:   Executive Sponsor  Your Executive Sponsor needs to take ownership of the ‘Leadership’ component of OPEX. This is done by setting the vision of ho
What is business maturity and how does it influence your CoE?  To summarize what we’ve discussed so far, your CoE can take one of three approaches (Centralized, Decentralized, or Hybrid) and the approach that you select will determine how you structure and staff your CoE.  So how do you know which is the best approach and structure to adopt? The simple answer is that you should align your approach with your maturity level and, as your level of maturity changes, so should your CoE.   There are literally hundreds of maturity models in the market today, some are so complex that in the end it is virtually impossible to achieve the highest stage. Most organizations will find their own level of maturity that is right for them to accomplish their desired goals. In the model presented here the intent is to move from an Initial stage, let’s say you’re still doing things manually with paper and pen, to the fully optimized stage, leveraging technology in a state of perpetual improvement. Â
I have Nine(9) Text Fields updated with CurrentUser Email Address  Each user must be logged in to add their email address (Validate for Current User Email) No one should be able to change the previous person email.  Problem When the next person signs it gives an error message - because it is trying to validate the previous person or the persons who filled out the form before. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to resolve this. @eharris04 @har
Is the New Responsive Designer, Universal Forms? Yes, the New Responsive designer is using our Universal Forms engine. This engine is used across NIntex Workflow Cloud, Nintex Workflow and Forms for Office365, Nintex Mobile and in the future Nintex for SharePoint.  Can I use the New Responsive Designer? Where is it available? The New Responsive Designer is now available in all Nintex regions (US, EU, JP, AU) for Nintex Forms for Office365. The New Responsive Designer will come to SharePoint 2016 and 219 at a later date.  Will the New Responsive Forms Designer replace the existing Responsive Forms? Our long term plan is to replace the Responsive designer with the New Responsive designer.  What will happen to my existing Responsive Forms?
