Creating a List workflow for a Certification list for employees, so management will be able to track ending certifications. Employees will enter their certifications in a form (each cert, date of cert obtained, and their expiration). Leadership wants each cert (could be as many as 6 per person) to have a separate email notification fire off at different time intervals prior to the expiration date as a "red flag" to get their cert updated. (180 days, 150 days, 120, 90, 60, 45, 30, 21, 14, 7) until the user changes the expiration date (essentially updating his record). Currently, I have a parallel action set up for each reminder: Action Set Calc Date (Calc "Expiration Date" -column- minus 6 months, store in variable "6monthreminder") Pause Until (6monthreminder) Send notification When I tested this current set up - Ex. a cert ending in 45 days, they got ALL notifications 180 down to 45 days (6 different email notifications) versus the one that was most relevant. What am I missing?
When publishing a form it warns me, "Warning: Data in these controls will not be saved to a field." And "Control 'CPIStatus' is connected to field 'CPI Status' on layouts: Desktop" On testing, it indeed does not save. CPI Status is a Choice control and it is connected to matching column. If I delete the control and recreate it by dragging it from the List Columns bar the result is the same. We are on SP 2013 and Forms 2.11.5.20
Hi All, I have parent and child list, in both lists, the column/field is lookup field only. whenever an item is updated in parent list, i have to update the lookup field(item already exists) value in child list with the same value(parent). I am only talking about existing tiems in both the lists. Regards,
I have Nintex 2013 running for Sharepoint 2013. I have 2 workflows, A & B. Workflow A is set to run when item is created. Workflow B is set to run when item is modified. Both A and B will send notification out. For a new item, workflow A will undate some columns on the item. It triggers workflow B to run since A is making modification. So I always received duplicated emails. I want to set a condition to avoid the duplication. I need to know the trigger point for workflow B. So I can set the condition at right point. What's the trigger point for workflow B? #1. Is B triggered immediately when columns are updated in A? #2. Is B triggered after workflow A is finished? Appreciate for any help!
Is it possible to migrate this scenario? If not what are the alternatives Can you have 2 web apps each using their own Nintex content and config DB?
I have a list which contains account information: Account Name - Account Type - Account Number Within my form, I'd like for a user to be able to select the "Account Name" and then the remaining fields be auto-populated once the "Account Name" has been selected. Any suggestions on how to do this?
Unfortunately I was not able to find anything similar to this one and our company doesn’t have PowerApps configured so trying it from a Nintex perspective. Any help is appreciated. I was thinking of it from an Announcement perspective as well for them to enter the email information each time and select who to send to on submit. Here is the Request below to assist in why we are not using groups, etc. Multiple groups (filtered views) would get different emails. Use a SharePoint Contact List for an overall Program Roster Use columns on the Contact List to designated Market / Product, Workstreams, Functional Area, and Role within each For instance, we’d have filters for: Executive Committee Steering Committee Regional / Market Leads Business Owners IT Owners I know I can do this with SharePoint Groups but I’m hoping there is a way to leverage a single list (i.e. no duplicate maintenance) and be able to send emails to certain groups. We may have to move to Active Directory email distribu
Hello, I have a form with two panels side by side. They are not behaving as expected. The first panel contains a lot of fields, and the second panel is being used as a message center. As more and more messages are entered in the panel on the right (message center) the one on the left moves down. So to see the responses in the left you have to scroll down. Inconvient. How do I prevent this? do I need to put the two panels inside of a panel? or increase the length of the on on the left, leaving a bunch of blank space at the bottom? or widen the one on the left and move the one on the right into it? Thank you,
Hello everyone,I'm new to Nintex and I'm currently trying to get the following solution going:A SharePoint list contains certain users, issues and a due date.I want to design a workflow, which runs daily and checks if a due date for one of the issues is approaching. If there is an entry in the list which due date is in 3 days, the workflow has to send an email notification to that specific user.So I would schedule the workflow to run once a day and check the due dates. This is what I have so far, but it does not seem to work. The solutions I have found only we're mostly for sharepoint tasks and usually more complex than mine.It would be great if one of you could pinpoint me into the right direction. Thanks!
The Worklist Service Broker enables the retrieval of user(s) work list items so that you can quickly create custom work lists and reports that incorporate standard work list data with line of business data within the same view. This can be accomplished by using one of the two service objects provided as the basis for your SmartObject methods and then by building a composite SmartObject that contains the additional data you would like to incorporate resulting in a custom work list. In addition, y
I have a flexi task with multiple outcomes (Approve, Reject and Request Review). Is there any way that in case I selected Request Review, to keep the action with me and send it at the same time to multiple users for review.
Hello, Our main Nintex content DB had been splitted to help us to migrate Sharepoint site from Sharepoint 2010 to Sharepoint 2019 one by one. During this process, first of all we stopped the web sites and stop the sptimerv4. Then we splitted the main Nintex contentDB into several ones (one by application) using the following commands for each application : . wadmin.exe -o moveData -Url <url to a specific app> -SourceDatabase <main Nintex contentDB connection string> -TargetDatabase <splitted Nintex contentDB connection string> Finally the web sites and SPTIMERV4 service were restarted. (The split was made on Sharepoint 2010 servers) On top of that each splitted site is mapped to its own splitted content DB. And they all appear in the list of databases. After several days, our team tried to get workflows inventory, but the page is in error (in every sites using Nintex, not just splitted ones). In fact it says that the current login doesn't have acces
I have read several posts in this forum about form validation rules not behaving correctly. I can't figure out if my problem is with custom form rules or JavaScript or what. I have removed everything from the form settings JavaScript section and removed related JavaScript calls, published and retested, with no change. Here is an example. All fields pictured are required (list column required property is set to Yes). Only two of the fields have the red outline. What is that clue trying to tell me? This issue is also affecting my custom form validation rules not firing (some work, some don't). I have removed and readded the custom form rules one at a time and am not seeing where the problem lies. Any clues appreciated.

How can a Nintex for Office 365 SharePoint workflow determine if a list item is new or updated?
Every once and a while we will get requests from customers on how to create SharePoint Groups with workflow in Office 365 given that this is no longer a native action function. While @TomaszPoszytek has a pretty good answer to this on a former post, I wanted to post up some detailed steps on exactly how this can be accomplished to help some future workflow builders ;)
I would like a choice box to auto populate if the induvial creating the intake is a selection in the choice box. Example, choice contains A, B, and C. The person creating the intake is person A the choice would auto populate with A, but if the person is X then X has to choose A, B, or C.
Hello, I need some assistance resetting my calculated value based on a list lookup drop down. I have a reference list with the lookup values (for example A= 1, B=2, C=3, etc.). I created a JS button to reset the drop down value to Select Value, however that doesn't trigger the calculated value to update back to blank. I used this post to clear my selected dropdown value: https://community.nintex.com/t5/Nintex-for-SharePoint/Reset-Dropdown-list-using-JavaScript/td-p/43207 If I manually select Select Value from the dropdown, then my calculated value will go blank. However if I use the JS Button then the calculated value will still stay the same. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!
Example: Workflow has 4 steps (A B C D) with 2 steps within each one. Every step is working as it should be and sending appropriate notifications except one. Step C has the same RunIF conditions based on that field and notifications go to the same folks as all the other steps however notifications for only step C are not working. Any thoughts?
The Create Site action (SharePoint on-premise 2016) will work if permissions are inherited from the parent site, but I am unable to even save the workflow if the Site Owner is specified. Any idea why this would be broken? In the screenshot, I am using my account with Site Collection Admin rights. I have also tried Initiator and the Farm Admin service account.
Hi I am trying to find a solution for a Nintex Workflow Tasks issue. Is there a way to delegate all the tasks pending on a user based on a workflow to different users.
I have a form with a Choice field. 2 location choices are available. When 1 is selected i populate a set of People fields with specific SP groups. This is done in the change event of the Choice field. Would anyone know how i can set the focus back to the Choice field after the updates. I have tried various options mentioned in other posts without success. The focus ends up in the last updated people field.
hi I'm having this issue where using the common reference "Web URL" in my workflow returns the server name e.g. "http://app-server01" instead of the site name e.g. "http://website.com"Is there a way I can manually set the value of this reference?
Hi, I’m new in Nintex workflow world. I have a SharePoint 2013 list where several documents will be attached and need to be reviewed from several people in different groups. I have a Nintex workflow where the attached documents will be available to modify inside the task (another workflow running within). I have few requirements and not sure how to accomplish them: a. I’m using “Request Review” action to create a task for 4 people to go in and review a document(s). There will be a time when some will have comments (modifying the documents) and some wont. If some of them won’t have comments or won’t review the documents, how do I send a task to the next group of reviewers without stopping the workflow? B. When the next group of reviewers get their task notification, they will go in and review the documents. They may need to upload new clean version of the document without removing the existing one then click OK on the task. These new documents need to be available to review inside of th
Hello! I'm trying to create a workflow which uses a list item's information to create a subsite from an existing (and working) template. However when I try to publish, it says that the following fields must be configured, and then proceeds to give me nothing. Any ideas?
