Nintex Workflow

Hello, I am trying to create a workflow where the initiator would fill out a form and then it would be sent to a reviewer and the reviewer can reject or approve. If the reviewer rejects, the form would get sent back to the initiator and the initiator would have to modify the form per the reviewer's comments and then send back.  So I make use of the branch by stage but the main issue is trying to have the variables of the start form be changeable/updated when the initiator fills out a form (that resembles the start form)? I will explain further. I have the initiator fill out a new form that resembles the start form since there does not seem to be a way to go back and have them work on the already filled out start form but modify that.  In the attachments, form.JPG, I created a new field called New Campaign Description in the form where the initiator would fill out and the default value would pull the original info

I have a NWC Form which allows the user to attach a file which I then upload to a SharePoint online library.  In the upload action, I created a folder using the Firm Name which is entered on the form.  I have run into an issue when someone enters special characters in the Firm Name as SharePoint don't allow special characters in the naming of folders.   I've tried using Apply a regular expression action but I'm really bad at regex.  I've been able to get there somewhat by use the Replace operation with expression [^w] and using an underscore character to replace. But what I really want to do is remove the special character entirely but the Replace text field cannot be left blank. Help!   

Hi all! I have a form that is essentially an issue tracker and the manager of the group that is responsible for resolving these issues wants to be notified if an issue hasn't been touched/modified in 48 hours. I tried using the Condition builder in NWC and the Modified column isn't available to set a condition on.  Any ideas on how to set up the workflow to only go out if a list item hasn't been modified in 48 hours? Thank you!

I need to know how to turn this feature off, we do not want users re-submitting forms. We have workflows triggered by SharePoint list item data and updating information throughout the entire process. The information captured at the time of the original form submission is not the same upon approval, rejection and causing major issues if this option is pushed by a user.    How do we ensure this feature is not available to participants? We want them to be able to print/download a copy of the completed task form, but do not want them having the option to resubmit the task form. 

Hello.  Nintex Workflow Cloud workflows can be started on a recurring schedule basis by configuring the start event control with the appropriate settings, such as every Monday.  However, we don't see an option to run the workflow every month on the first business day of the month.  Is that even possible? Thanks.

Hello, I am trying to configure User directory lookup in Nintex Workflow Cloud as per User directory lookup (nintex.com) When I try to setup the account, I get the following error.  I am using service account which has global read in Azure AD. What level of permissions is required for this action? Since this is a lookup I assume a reader is enough? Thanks in advance  

In NWC, for "Assign a task to multiple users", is there a way to capture the date of each approver's action?

I am using NWC.  When I try to use the “Send an email” (Communication) Action, the email is not received.  The Recipient email address is hard-coded.  If I use the “Send an email” (Microsoft Exchange Online) action, the email is received.  I would like to use the former (Communication Action) as that action has more options to customize emails.  Can you tell me why the “Send an email” (Communication) Action may fail? On a side note, emails sent from Tasks are received.

Hello,I am trying to update a list and I get the following error.  Do you have any idea what may be causing this error:Received an error response from the connector: BadRequest: SharePoint returns exception: BadRequest, ResponseStatus: Error - The query is not valid. Hello - I'm creating a job application and want to have available job titles from another list in the same site just displayed as text on the form.  Nothing fancy  I'm a bit of a novice.  I've set up the External Data connection and then also a variable to pull the collection of Titles from the appropriate list.  All I'm receiving is commas displaying on the form. I'm using the the following:convertToString([External data].[Job Title 4].[Records].[Title]) What is returned is: Job Title 4,,,,There are indeed 5 active job postings from a list of 150 or so, so the number of commas are correct, I just can't get the text of the Titles to display.  What am I missing?  Thank you for any help!

How do I force a workflow start event to refresh so that newly added list columns can be used?  I've opened/closed the workflow, opened/closed the start event, clicked the start events connection refresh button, clicked the start events retrieve lists button, changed the start event list & then changed it back... none of these things seem to do anything...  am I missing something? It'd be nice if there was a 'refresh list' button inside the start event options (and any other applicable actions)... with some sort of confirmation that the refresh has occurred... Thanks.

Greetings: I'm just getting started with Nintex Workflow Cloud (NWC) so I apologize if this is a simple question. I've created a connector to a SharePoint online list and am able to query it in a NWC workflow. Great. Then I added a column to the list I'm querying but it doesn't show up in among the properties of the object that is returned from the query.  Clearly something has to be refreshed somewhere when I do this but I can't find where that should be done. Do I have to delete the Query a List action first and then add it back? Thanks!

HI,  i am trying to get document generation,. Can someone please explain on how to get a template file from OneDrive/SharePoint and use Document Generation in Nintex workflow cloud to generate a filled template.  I have watched the videos on youtube but they refer to the old fields i.e. connector etc, which are not available anymore.  any help in this regard will be appreciated.  thanksKam

Hi everyone, I have a running process that includes a responsive form, but I have to change some fields in the form without stopping the instance. Do you know if it's possible or not?

I am trying to pull data from a repeat section control on the Nintex Form.  The repeat section control allows user to add rows as they need when filling out the form.  For this control type, you cannot connect it to a list field, therefore I cannot drop the field in the DocGen template.  I am trying to figure out how to work around this so I can get the data out and sort it.  Any Suggestions? Basically, I would like to find out if there’s a way to display repeat section data sorted by date when using DocGen? I want to use DocGen to grab all the data in the repeat section, sort them by date and put it in a MS Word template.

Hi there all,  I know I am close... but not getting it... I want to count the items in the repeating section, I am able to get the count per repeating section but I want the total... from the total I am creating a rule so they can't click more than 5.I am able to count how many total rows and the section, and I can count how many Sold Option are in each section. But I want to total them. I tried sum(countCurrItems)countCurrItems = count (current section.sold Option) Any suggestions would be great. 

I have a large form that is used to start a workflow.  The form has one section that is a repeating section which collects contact information for 1 or more people.  I am sending the content of this form in an HTML formatted email (Exchange Online connector).  Because of the repeating section, I am creating a loop prior to sending the email that dynamically builds the tables used to display the contact information for the 1+ people.  The variable that is storing this HTML is then inserted into the email along with other html tables. When I place the HTML directly into the email body field the HTML paints properly with tight spacing on the HTML table. When I insert the dynamically created table into this same field the spacing is twice as large as the other tables.  I have tried pasting in just the HTML template and not modifying it at all and the same issue occurs.  Whenever the HTML is stored into a variable and then re-used, the formatting is off. 

As title suggests. The office 365 version of nintex has a nice formula userProfileLoookup that helps to retrieve valuable information. I was wondering if we have a similar function in cloud.

Using Nintex Workflow, I know how to create a custom action that simply executes without passing around data. But how do I create a custom "Set a Condition" action? In particular, I want to know how to communicate the result of the action (true or false) back to the workflow so that the appropriate branch can be taken. Thanks.

NWC currently does not have the feature to insert a Repeating Section into a Task Assign Form.The workaround is to generate a HTML Table using loops  Form with Repeating SectionAdd a Repeating Section.Add some controls into the Repeating Section Filling out the form Creating HTML Table - Method 1This is one possible route. 1. I have a start event form that allows the user to complete the form and sign using the default signature control. This form then goes through a task process where the next level approver needs to see the completed signature from the start event form. How does one access the start event signature control file/image and then bring it into the task form display.   This then shows the task form approver the signature image from the start event form in the approver task form.   I see you can bring previous approval information or other fields into the task form but not a completed signature control file/image
