Hello everyone,With a list workflow, I want to create an item in a folder in another list. The action I used is "Office 365 Create List Item or Document Set".But I have an issue with this action. Here are some screenshots to explain the problem :1) The action's configuration : We can see here that I wrote "France" for the folder, I tried many things like the entire path of the folder or a lookup on the list with the folder's name.2) The list with 2 folders : 3) The error I always have : Of course, this is not a permission problem. I am totally admin with the account.Am I doing something wrong ? I saw a similar case here :  But it works only to create folders (I tried it, and yes it works).Have you seen cases like this?Maybe I am not seeing the right thing? Is there another action I can use? Thanks for all your answers.Regards,Â
Hi, We are using Set Item Permission control in which we are restricting the inheritance and Providing full control to only approvers. Sometimes it is failing to set the permission after stopping the inheritance which affects the following Log in History List control and workflow is errored out by throwing the following error:Nintex.Workflow.NWActionExecutionException: Failed to log to history list. --> System Exception: Cannot find item with id 3629 in list. Check the user has at least read permissions. Is this already a known issue? Can anyone please help on this?
Hi,I having problem updating a SharePoint list ‘Status’ field via the Returned Value option from within multiple buttons in a Nintex task form. It only seems to take the values retuned from the first button, and ignore all Returned Values from all subsequent buttons, as I try to change form status as different users fill out the form. I would like to check the form Status field on form load, similar to InfoPath, and update the same Status field on the form via a Returned Value on a button. The Status field is used in SP workflow to send an email to the next assignee with a link to the task form.Status field value: 'New' (default on first load), 'Pending_Acknowledgement', 'Acknowledged'.--------------------------------------Also, how do I show multiple instances of the same column variables on a form? Thanks.
Hi allI am attempting something new. All my other forms have been created using Infopath & it is easy to get the form itslef to appear above the list - making it easier for users to add in new items & recognise straight away what page they are on.I have just designed a page using Nintex forms (I also designed it using Infopath but don't like it at present!) & have got the layout how i want it.I am unable to get the form to display as a web part at the top of my list & wondered if anyone knew how i can resolve it.So i want to do this:But i want to do it with a Nintex form web part rather than an infopath web part (as shown above). When i try to configure it i can get as far as this (i can get as far as "list form" in my web part):You can see the red asterix's what do i type here & how do i find out where these items are?Any ideas?Pete
My 2 questions are :- can we have other values than Approved / Rejected ?- can we customize the text added on emails ? "This task has been assigned to you. Reply with one of the following phrases on a line by itself at the top of your email:Approved Rejected Need help?" thank you
We have an approval workflow which are running on the SharePoint list item. It starts when new item created in the SharePoint list.Daily instances are running for this approval workflow is approx 100. This error (Nintex failed to start workflow. the given key was not present in the dictionary) occurs in approx in 3-4 months for some of the instances of the workflow.Below is the error stack Nintex.Workflow.NWActionExecutionException: Failed to start workflow. ---> System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowKeyNotFoundException() at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.get_Item(TKey key) at Nintex.Workflow.KnownWorkflowTypes.GetWorkflowType(String type) at Nintex.Workflow.Activities.ReportingHeaderActivity.TryCreateWorkflowInstance(NWWorkflowContext ctx, ActivityFlags parentFlags) at Nintex.Workflow.Activities.ReportingHeaderActivity.Execute(ActivityExecutionContext executionContext) Nintex Workflow 2
We have power users who create great no code solutions. However, creating solutions is not in the user's job description. So when they leave, they are not always replaced with someone who has the same aptitude. We have some ideas but I am interesting in hearing how other people handle this issue.Â
Hi, I'm able to add new terms to the Lazy Approval, in "Lazy Approval Settings" from the SP Central Administration, but these new terms are only related to de OOB outcomes "Approve" or "Reject" is there any way to do the same with custom outcomes? Thanks in advance.
Dear All,I am on SharePoint 2013 with Nintex Workflow 2013.My all workflows are pointing to workflow task list for many operations (like querying, filtering in custom page and few more). Is there any better alternative when Workflow Task list exceed 5000 limit? Â I have tried targeting another view but didn't worked. I also tried <ViewName> but it return all records from AllItems.aspx view. Any Idea?
Symptoms Error in workflow deployment: The Workflow Server field does not exist in the Development environment Diagnoses The first place to check when encountering this problem is the Environment Library field and ask yourself these questions:> Can you see the field "Workflow Server"?> Is the field "Workflow Server" default value set to True? Resolution The answer to both questions (see diagnosis section) should be yes in order to resolve the problem.Â
I have created a workflow that copies an item within the same list. Due to some requirements, I used the 'Create Item' workflow action to duplicate the item and have the new item ID stored in a workflow variable. How can I configure the workflow to end by opening the copied/duplicate item on Edit mode?
Hi allWe have a problem which seems to have been caused by the following behaviour:1) User changes network password.2) User opens Nintex Mobile Apps on a Samsung Galaxy S4 without changing his password.3) Users starts filling out forms. All the forms are subsequently stuck in the outbox. Hello,I'm working with SharePoint 2013 and Nintex Workflow in order to set permissions to certain lists. These lists can hold 5000+ items and for each item a workflow run to set unique permissions. This proces works flawless.Every month I import a new batch of items by PowerShell, this way I can add thousands of items per run. When that happens a few thousand workflows start, which is not possible due the Nintex workflow limitations (which is fine, otherwise my server would probably hang). But every workflow that is put on hold will sent a mail letting me know that it failed to start. You can imagine my Exchange department not being to happy about the thousands of mails. Anyone know how I can disable a mail notification based on this specific event (delayed start).Thank you
I have several libraries within the same site, using the same site columns, added to the same generic content type at the library level. Some are choice, some are lookup.I have created a form using these columns with filtering enabled in three lookup columns based on the other site columns. The form works as expected.I exported this form and imported it to several libraries. For some of the libraries the form retained all of its connections for the site columns. However for some of the libraries, when the form is imported the connections were lost just for the site columns. All of the other fields connected properly including those added to content type that are not site columns. The controls that lose the connection populate the data with the choice options, or in the case of the lookup table point directly to the source list. They are not however connected to that libraries list. For these broken controls it is possible to go to the ribbon and re-connect them with the "ID connected to
I am Working on Automation project ,where i am doing workflow development . i need to prepare workflow Development Standard document .So can any one help me with the same any kind of template for workflow Development Standard .
I am using NINTEX workflow for SharePoint (Version 2010).I have a site workflow which picks up a xml file from a SP list. This xml file is used to retrieve the data and create an email template. Subsequently, we send a notification to the intended recipients and delete the control file from the list using the "Delete Item" action. However, sometimes the workflow errors out with the following error: "The workflow could not delete the list item. Make sure the list exists and the user has permissions to delete items in the list." All the intended users that are initiating this workflow have contribute rights to the SP list and should be able to delete the item. This is an intermittent issue and doesn't occur every time this workflow is executed. Please can you suggest any remedial action to over come the error.
Symptoms  Although these users are a part of the Sharepoint group with 'Solution Designers' permission and the group sync was performed via 'K2 for Sharepoint Settings > Synchronize Groups', these users still experience the error: Access Denied To design K2 applications, you must be a member of a Sharepoint group that has K2 Solution Designer permissions. If you have recently changed Sharepoint group membership, please contact your K2 Administrator to use the 'Synchronize Groups' option. This does seem to work in other site collections.  Diagnoses  It was determined that the site title in question made use of the colon (:) character. The site title is used when provisioning K2 Group Providers and was failing to resolve these Sharepoint group due to the colon characters. Hi,I just made a multi-step form according to this tutorial: How to design a Multi-Step form with Nintex Forms for Office 365Now I have a question: Is there a possibility to skip pages if a checkbox is active or not? I only want to show page 2 if the checkbox is active and skip to page 3 if it's not.I tried to add an if condition to the button:'if(Checkbox==true) {goStep(2)} else {goStep(3)}'but it always goes directly to 3. Never to 2.I also made a button with 'alert(Checkbox)' which always returns 'false'. I'm really not good with JavaScript so maybe this is a very stupid error but to me it seems that the checkbox doesn't affect the result at all.
Symptoms DateTime field is converted to UTC when used in email event Diagnoses N/A Resolution As this datetime value was only used for display purposes, using two separate controls (a Calendar and a Time control) and storing the value in a text field will store that value that is needed and will not be affected by the UTC conversion.Â
Symptoms The error we are receiving is:Service: [URL]Service Guid: [GUID]Severity: ErrorError Message: The specified user [ID] could not be found.InnerException Message:orService: [URL]Service Guid: [GUID]Severity: ErrorError Message: The specified user [FQN] could not be found.InnerException Message:When using the Group's ID (top error) or Group (Name) item reference (bottom error). Diagnoses Group (Name) was returning the FQN of the group. SharePoint isn't able to understand the FQN as it is a K2 creation. SharePoint needed just the group name for it to be able to target it with the new permissions. Resolution Used the Group's 'Title' item reference to reference the name of the group. Using this reference as the target, all functionality worked as expected. Â
I have a multiple line of text column in Nintex form as belowAfter I have created a word control in word and use Update Document component in Nintex worflow. the word will show the multiple line of text column with html tag like belowI would like to know is there any way to remove those html tag and display the content in word content as format in sharepoint multiple line of text format?
Hi, I built a Workflow in Nintex 2013 (3.1.4.11), with the editor in French mode. I created and FlexiTask OOB, but with a third option too (Questions) when I try to answer a Lazy Approval mail with the Word "ok" the server is returning an error message: Your response was not able to be interpreted. Please try again with a clear indication of your chosen outcome. Valid outcomes for this task are: - Approuver - Rejeter - Questions  But if I look at the Lazy Approval configuration in SharePoint Central Administration, I can see (French): and (English):Therefore "ok" answer is set in both languages, but it seems Lazy approval only let me answer with the exact literal of the Outocome task, with no synonyms.  Is this a bug? How can I fix it? Thank you!!
Dear Nintex community,We are trying to APPROVE /REJCT the workflow from an external JavaScript program. We have 2013 SP site.We got some details that using the SOAP method ProcessFlexiTaskResponse2, we can do that. We were successful in approving the workflow from SOAPUI but we are looking for the equivalent REST service which can allow us to approve the workflow item from our program. Thanks for your time and help.Regards,Pooja   Â
Symptoms When using a list that has a "space" in the SP name, using the 'Link to Item' reference builds the URL with a space in it, breaking the URL. Diagnoses Found workaround by hard coding the URL by replacing the space with '%20' and using the ID item reference at the end of the URL. Resolution Logged with Labs, should be fixed in a future update.Â
