I have built a form that also has a SharePoint form Validation formula. This validation formula works fine when I:Create a new formUpdate a new formRun a list workflow (Nintex) with update fieldall have no issues. The problem comes up when I created a site workflow and try to update a field. This will give me The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of informationHere is my validation formula=IF(AND(CM="Yes",[CM Status]="No CM"),FALSE,IF(AND([Date Completed]<>"",[Work Start Date]=""),FALSE,TRUE))The validation just checks two parameters: If the field CM is set to yes and makes sure that the CM Status is not set to "No CM"If the Date completed is filled in, then make sure the Work Start Date is also filled inThe Site Workflow is trying to updates something that is not even related to the formula, which is to update the item Due Date.If I take the validation away, the workflow runs without any issues, put
Hi All,I wonder if someone has any recommendations to my issue. Essentially I've built a list that contains a field that essentially allocated a business ranking number which used another List to allocate the number using math calculation plus 1. The issue I have is that a user would like to revise the business priority # to perhaps 1 for a specific item that has a ranking number of 15 for example. What I need is a workflow that will refresh the existing allocation business priority # to accommodate for the newly allocated priority of 1. This would only occur when the item has been modified.Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Marian Hatala‌ -- I love your script from your posthttps://community.nintex.com/message/42747?commentID=42747#comment-42747 ... and you have assisted in validation on a form. However, I'm trying to capture the value from your script when an attachment is added to the page. I'm trying to get this to update a variable which updates a field that corresponds to that attachment to "Yes" for me to use in a workflow. Once all attachments are uploaded the workflow can continue. In the screenshot there I'm testing 2 things I have a calculated value with an If statement that should change to yes if (GetNumberOfAttachments('attCtrlSec')<1) and the other is a calculated value that should show the value of GetNumberOfAttachments('attCtrlSec'), but as you can see once I add the file to upload it doesn't change. It also does not change on submit. NOTE: I have validation using your script so we know it's firing.
Hi All,I have many state machine workflows running on my Site collection. All of them are having flexi task creation action for getting approvals. Now a days users started to receive error messages saying "No item exists at http://url/Lists/Workflow Tasks/EditForm.aspx?ID=3144", Â when they click on the approval link in the email. It happens only when the user tries to click on the email as soon as the email is received. If they click on it after few minutes then they are able to approve it without any error. Can any of you help me on this. I searched with the correlation id and i was unable to find anything more than this No item exists error message. It happens only to task form which is edited using nintex forms. If it's not edited then there's no issue. Also it takes approximately 1 minutes to load properly.Thank You,Sreejith
Hi,We are populating the Nintex Form dropdown from another list using external javascript which uses SP.Client context and CAMLQuery. All the above works fine but the problem is when we try to save the form we get the below error"Sorry, something went wrong"I did go through few posts but dont see any solutions to get this fixed . Our form is very dynamic and requires the data to pulled from other lists and further requires data massaging using JavaScript before we populate the data into dropdown or textbox.
So I am trying to connect the accounting software Procas to my Sharepoint server, so that I can utilize the values from the Procas accounts in a Nintex Workflow.  I have heard that this connection is possible, but have not seen it implemented for myself.  Both programs are on separate SQL server 2012 R2, and I believe that the best bet would be to use a merge replication with the Procas as the publisher and the Sharepoint as the subscriber, however, I was wondering if anyone here had any knowledge on this or has done this same connection in the past.  I would appreciate any feedback or knowledge anyone can bestow upon me.  PS I am not sure which place to publish this in, so I am trying InstallationÂ
So I am trying to allow Nintex Workflow to communicate with our ADP Workforce Now web based server. Â I am running Nintex through Sharepoint 2013 on a SQL 2012 server. Â I have seen that it is not possible to communicate between ADP and a SQL server, however there was nothing recent that said this so I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this communication. Â Thanks.
So I need to create a workflow that based on 3 items on a dropdown called Request Type then triggers 3 different emails. I thought maybe I would do Query List but that doesn't seem to do what I need. Thanks!
Hi,Question: What client side API can I use to retrieve all workflow instances for SharePoint list item?Environment:SharePoint 2013/2016 with SharePoint 2010 Workflow platform, i.e. Workflow Manager is NOT installed.Nintex WorkflowI have the following:1.   SharePoint site URL2.   List name3.   Workflow name4.   Item IDI have already tried the following approaches:1.   WorkflowLog[] NintexWorkflowService.GetWorkflowHistoryForListItem(int itemId, string listName, SPWorkflowState stateFilter, string workflowNameFilter)http://help.nintex.com/en-US/sdks/sdk2013/Reference/SOAP/NW_REF_SOAP_GetWorkflowHistoryForListItem.htm This method is not reliable because it may return null even if workflow instance exists.2.  CSOM WorkflowInstanceService.EnumerateInstancesForListItem(Guid, Int32)The following C# example does not work: ClientContext clientContext = new ClientContext(siteUrl);var workflowServicesManager = new SP.WorkflowServices.WorkflowServicesManager(clientContext, clientContext.Web
I have a parent (site) workflow that triggers a child (library) workflow. This will need to be replicated across multiple (three) libraries, all of which are similar in the data gathered, just segregated for business purposes. The site workflow will be scheduled and it is fine to have all three libraries processed at the same time.Would it be best to have the parent (site) workflow as three separate workflows or shall I combine all actions into one workflow? Certainly, the goal is not only to be effective, but also efficient and I'm wondering what others have found to be the best practice in similar instances.Business use details: the libraries are all legal libraries with contract documents of various purposes and those documents need periodic notification to various parties. The parent workflow will select candidates and the child workflow will send notifications. Each library is basically a carbon copy of the other in terms of data fields and these all belong to the same Share
All,Nintex/SharePoint 2013 on premOutside of Nintex I can manually format a url to query a 3rd party url to receive a token for futher api work. When I use a web request action either post or get I keep receiving the following error message:"Error performing web request. The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel."For the web request action I'm using a farm account for authenticationI've looked in CA>Security>Manage Trust as per other posts. There is no 3rd party certificate for the above. There shouldn't be. Do I need one ? Not sure why as outside of Nintex workflow it works without me knowing the certificate.ThanksAndrew
how to set avalue using a Jquery on custom script for the webrequest control when its display format  lable or text box?i tried the below:NWF$("#" + webrequestval).text("");NWF$("#" + webrequestval).val("");but it fails
I have a Nintex workflow in production, with a convert Word to PDF activity. It has been working fine, but today I got the following error:"Error converting document. Failed to start conversion job. Check input url 'http://myurl/sites/mysite/mylibrary/Project_349.docx' is a valid file". Seems odd, but anyway I checked that the Project_349.docx file existed where it is supposed to exist: the URL is valid. I opened the document with Word, and it opened normal, without error or unexpected warnings. Then I used Word to convert to PDF and it did it alright. So I'm unsure as to why did I get that error, since the file is working properly. What could be the cause of this error, when the Word file actually exist in the right format?Thank you in advance.Â
I have been trying to figure out a issue with State machine workflow. While reviewing ULS logs I found that it is throwing following specific error,Load Workflow Assembly: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Nintex.Workflow.Resources.resources, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=en-US, PublicKeyToken=913f6bae0ca5ae12' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. File name: 'Nintex.Workflow.Resources.resources, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=en-US, PublicKeyToken=913f6bae0ca5ae12'   at System.Reflection.RuntimeAssembly._nLoad(AssemblyName fileName, String codeBase, Evidence assemblySecurity, RuntimeAssembly locationHint, StackCrawlMark& stackMark, IntPtr pPrivHostBinder, Boolean throwOnFileNotFound, Boolean forIntrospection, Boolean suppressSecurityChecks)   It looks like it is trying to load this assembly but could not find it.I am not really sure what could be the issue, any help would greatly appriciated. Thanks,
I'm having 2 issues with the "choice" drop down lists. Issue 1) When the form loads for the end-user it's automatically selecting the final choice option. I don't want it to automatically pick one, but leave it blank so the watermark can be seen. Issue 2) I have a drop down list that's pulling from lookup list. The issue I'm having is that the items from the lookup list are not in alphabetical order in the drop down list. It seems like it's ordering them "ID" instead. I've played with the smart object but if I change the lookup value from ID to anything else the control ends up blank or won't load at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Â
In my Nintex form a Repeating Section collects value in the fields.  The fields values are collected in a list column "Repeat Prod Details" of type multiple line.  Field values are stored in this column in XML.  By using another action "Query XML", convert it into HTML.  Following screen shot gives details of "Query XML". It is observed that on creating new item, the variable Repeat HTML_WV shows all fields properly, however if the list item is edited then Repeat HTML_WV does not show any thing. Can anybody help in resolving this issue, as I am struggling with it for many days and I did not find any material in community.ThanksSunil
My client has a SP site collection with a Content databases that is too big (over 800 GB). It contains many Nintex Workflows. Subsites need to be promoted into their own site collections with a new SP Content and Nintex WF database. What is the recommended approach for doing this in a manner that will not affect running WFs?
SharePoint 2013, "Call web service" action to "UpdateListItems" I'm passing this to update a list item in another web:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:m="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/"><soap:Header></soap:Header><soap:Body>Â Â <m:UpdateListItems>Â Â <m:listName>OIG IT Support Ticket Tracking</m:listName>Â Â Â Â <m:updates>Â Â Â Â <Batch PreCalc='TRUE' OnError='Continue'>Â Â Â Â Â Â <Method ID='1' Cmd='Update'>Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â <Field Name='ID'>1234</Field>Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â <Field Name='Data_x0020_Services_x0020_Ticket'>Completed</Field>Â Â Â Â Â Â </Method>Â Â Â Â </Batch>Â Â Â Â </m:updates>Â Â </m:UpdateListItems></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>It works great almost all the time; however, for some records it returns this error:<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="h
I created three calendars in SP 2013. One calendar is the main calendar and the other two is what appointments are being scheduled into. The main calendar just displays the appointments. I copied all fields the exact same way with the same information. I used a "Copy Item" action after a value has been selected from one field to copy the item to the other calendar that the value was triggered off of. Then it is set to delete the item from the other calendar to only have one value showing.I get the following error: "The workflow could not copy the item. Make sure the source and destination lists have the same columns and column settings."

Hi all, We have employee data living in SAP and SAP by default export data to .CSV or .XLS. I would like to refresh a SharePoint list on a daily basis with new employees. How would I do this with the Nintex Workflow in SharePoint? Kind Regards, Francois Crous
When I create a workflow with Nintex Workflows and I change the format of the text of the Task Description (eg. Request Review/ Flexi Task) and I open the task later, the format is completely wrong (font type, font size, colour, etc.) which makes it very unclear. I tried editing the html code, but the same problem persists.
What happens to a workflow if the SharePoint Web Front end server crashes?
I'm reading through this post: Demystifying Workflow History (Part 1) and I see that there are two locations that store a workflow's history, the default/hidden NintexWorkflowHistory list  in the SharePoint content DB and the Nintext DB (WorkflowProgress table).  My question is this: If I purge the list items from the NintexWorkflowHistory list, does this also affect the ability to review the Nintex Workflow History on the Workflow Details page within SharePoint (via "View Workflow History" link on the item or the site actions menu)?  In other words, does the Nintex details page source the Workflow history from the NintexWorkflowHistory list or from the database?
What does the below do....I'm not sure if the (.+] bracket is correct_+/(.+]/[*/]+SI found the above at https://threewill.com/getting-started-with-nintex/ but am having a hard time reading it and understandingI searched Google for over an hour on Google for a primer on RegEx and did not find much. Â Any suggestions would be great to help me understand the above and other basic information on RegEx would be great.
