Unlocker Doesn't work after Installing Foxtrot v15.1.13

Issue

If Foxtrot version 15.1.13 was just installed and the unlocker action that worked previously doesn't work anymore, please note that this new version of Foxtrot has a new unlocker. Please download and install the new unlocker version 15.1.13. The download can be found at:
https://help.nintex.com/en-US/platform/ReleaseNotes/NintexRPA.htm

 

If the new unlocker was installed already, and Foxtrot is giving this error:

"Unable to unlock the workstation. Please ensure the Nintex RPA Unlocker is installed," then please check registry for SoftwareSASGeneration key.

 

Error Code

"Unable to unlock the workstation. Please ensure the Nintex RPA Unlocker is installed"

 

Resolution

If the new unlocker is installed and unlocker previously worked, go to registry editor and go to:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

 

Check to see if this key is there:
Key: SoftwareSASGeneration Dword value = 1

If it is not there, please manually add it, then test the unlocker again.

 

If this doesn't work, please reach out to support@nintex.com and a Support Engineer will need to capture traces so we can investigate. 

Additional Information

If the unlocker did not work before the upgrade, it could be another issue. Please see the link below for some troubleshooting.
