This article will briefly explain when wizard versions are created.
Prerequisites: Working installation of Kryon Studio.
Steps:
When creating a wizard for the first time, opening it, making a change and then saving for the first time, you create a Current Version. Whilst the wizard is opened in the Editor window, any subsequent saves will save your changes to this Current Version. The Current Version does not appear in Version History.

When the wizard editor window is closed, the next time you open the wizard by clicking Edit, you will open the Current Version.

However, upon making another change and saving the wizard, the Current Version prior to the save will be archived to a Version and your newly saved changes become the new Current Version. Whilst the wizard is opened in the Editor window, any subsequent saves will save your changes to this new Current Version.

The above cycle repeats whenever the Editor window is closed and reopened.
