I have a tabbed skuid page and one of the tab is a combination of skuid + visual force page. So I have used PanelSet for this and included the visualforce page in one half using template and iframe. Is there any better way to achieve this?
I have reps who can’t edit or after viewing, close a template window while working in Safari. Any other orgs seeing this? The reps are able to make it work in another browser but Safari doesn’t let them make any edits. When the reps try to close, hit done, press escape - any method you can think of outside of refreshing, the popup stays. Thanks
We have a serious desire to leverage the new lightning design system within our Skuid pages. While the theme builder is a great tool for style customization, it requires essentially re-implementing styles that might already exist (LDS, Bootstrap, etc…). Will there be more support to build themes based on existing styles, and/or will there be a Lightning Design System theme in the very near future???
I’ve currently been creating a a data collection page with Skuid mobile through Salesforce1 to be used in various location with various connectivity levels. Is there any way to access the application and cache the data (image capture, etc) if the signal were unavailable (aka walking through a “dead spot”). As it exists now, the skuid page would just hang if the signal were to cut out. Does anyone know any options or workarounds for this? Caching…etc?
In the previous release you could create a before render snippet and change the series as shown in this post https://community.skuid.com/t/display-chart-series-diff. It appears that in the new Banzai release adding to the series list no longer adds a new series to the chart when it’s rendered. The snippet still runs, it just seems that the chart doesn’t pickup any newly created series before it is rendered.
My issue may be simple, but I cannot find a solution: The properties of my custom component renders property when I first drop it on the page. However, when I refresh the page or return from the XML view, I get the message: "no component/properties renderer is available for this component. What am I missing? Thanks for your help. My code is below: here is my current code: (function($) { skuid.builder.core.registerBuilder(new skuid.builder.core.Builder({ id: “CustomButton__button”, name: “Custom Button”, icon: “sk-icon-contact”, description: “Button for custom functionality”, componentRenderer: function(component) { component.setTitle(component.builder.name); component.body.html( "Button Label is: " + component.state.attr(“label”) + “!” ); }, mobileRenderer: function(component) { component.setTitle(component.builder.name); component.body.html( "Button Label is: " + component.state.attr(“label”) + “!” ); }, propertiesRenderer: function (propertiesObj,component) { // is this the right
This is really a minor problem, but I thought it should be noted. The Apps list that comes as part of the user menu only shows 7 apps (even though I have about 15), and it doesn’t show them in the order that I’ve specified in salesforce.
I have a skuid page with multiple tabs and I want to render and display tabs based on the permission set assigned for the current user,Is there a way of doing this? or any alternatives? Thanks In advance
Maybe this discussion is already out there, but it’s hard to search because of all the stuff about merge syntax…I’d like to merge Contacts on an Account. Salesforce has this functionality natively, how do we do it with Skuid?
I’m using a table and the action framework to replace what List Views and the Mass Update / Mass Edit appexchange package used to do for us. One drawback is that I can only work with 50 records at a time instead of 200 like I used to, any way to show more than 50 rows in a table?
Here are a couple of screen shots that show some things that may not be as intended. First, is what is shown when connecting to our service, DataDirect Cloud, which makes various data sources OData-compatible. When connecting via Lightning Connect, this is displayed as simply “Customers”, while here it’s “jdbcEntities.dbo.Customers”. This screen shot shows a collision amongst various fields and labels when the External Object Name exceeds a particular length. Not the end of the world, but FYI.
Minor bug.To reproduce:Open any page with a model.Click on the model’s name to collapse its fields, conditions and actions. (works)Click on the model’s name again to expand it. (fails… nothing happens). If you happen to have another model on the page, and click on that, and click back to your first model, it will expand as expected.
I’m attempting to render a number field as a picklist. Here’s what I’ve got so far:var field = arguments[0], value = arguments[1], $ = skuid.$; field.metadata.picklistEntries = [ { value: 30, label: ‘30 minutes’, defaultValue: false, active: true }, { value: 60, label: ‘60 minutes’, defaultValue: true, active: true } ]; field.metadata.defaultValue = 60; skuid.ui.fieldRenderers.PICKLISTfield.mode; }It’s working, sort of.With the defaultValue line I was trying to eliminate the “none” option, but I’m still getting “–None–” by default. Is there a way to eliminate the --None-- option? The values are returned as strings. Not sure if there’s a way to change that so that it outputs numbers. If there’s not, I can handle it on the other side with Number().Thanks!
I have a formula text field It works fine until I use it in this scenario. It show like this:
Our clinic calendar is built up of 30 minute appointments from 9 am to 6 pm. When an appointment is created, it is related to a clinical user on our org. Is there a way to list available appointment slots - that is, appointments that have not been scheduled? It could act kind of like the inverse of an aggregate model on the scheduled appointments.PS - Banzai rocks my socks
With all of the new configuration aspects in Banzai (model services, etc.), what are the recommended best practices for deployments/migrations?Thanks!
Have been playing around with External Data Source (specifically OData based) and ran in to several issues which in some cases resulted in my pages not even able to display in the builder any longer and requiring a “revert” to previous version. Here’s some high level information and feedback:1) Initially when using the “External Object Name” field I thought it was just a straight text box so I typed in the value, saved the page and previewed but saw no data. It wasn’t intuitive to me that this was a “autocomplete” as each time I typed nothing changed so I just assumed it was a straight textbox. I then decided to hit refresh and noticed that what I typed was gone which led me to determining that this must be an autocomplete field.2) After figuring out that it was an autocomplete, I still was not getting any data but had no indication as to why. I wasn’t sure if the service was configured correctly, or if I was using the wrong name for the model, etc. Possibly some messaging even if i
When pulling in data via an OData service, only the first row of data is displayed in a table even though the model contains all expected rows. I’ve narrowed this down to only seem to occur when an “Id” equivalent type of field is not included in the model. For example, using the OData test service at (http://services.odata.org/V3/OData/OData.svc/) with ODataDemo.Categories, if the model contains “Name” only, the table only displays the first row. However, if the model also includes “Id”, all model data is displayed in the table. In either situation however, the model itself contains all rows as you can see in the screenshot below with the footer indicating 1-3 of 3 rows. Not sure if this is expected behavior (if so, a doc updated might be appropriate) or a defect? Screen Capture Steps to repro: create necessary OData setup for http://services.odata.org/V3/OData/OData.svc/ Add model to page choosing the service and specifying Name field only Add model to page choosing the service an
When placing a navigation component on a page, the display of drop-down menus gets “cut-off” based on container height, etc. Placing the nav component in the “header” and the problem does not occur. One solution to this is to ensure that the container has a minimum height of what the menu would need but this is not ideal. I’m guessing the problem has something to do with the zorder and/or the js/css implementation. Note in the screen cap below the menu should display the entire SFDC Apps menu. Steps to repro: Create new blank page Add nav component and set it to dropdown for any of the options Preview Sample Page XML <skuidpage unsavedchangeswarning="yes" personalizationmode="server" showsidebar="false" showheader="false"> <models></models> Thanks!
After Banzai install, one of our pages, that has a page include, loads with the page include shifted way to the right. See pictures: Chrome… loads just fine. Firefox ESR 31… page include (or maybe just the table component) is shifted IE 11… shifted as well. Any ideas?? This is only since Banzai was installed.
I have a custom object that is a child of another custom object. I am trying to pull a table that would have all of the childs custom objects on the account not just for one parent object. For example we have a subscription custom object that has a child custom object that is called admin request. This is used to allow our sales team to request something that only an administrator can do. I would like to create a table that pulls all admin request for the account even if there are multiple subscriptions on the account. I know that I need to create a condition that does that but cant find the correct combination to work. I can either pull for one of the subscriptions or for every admin request in our system. I just want to pull all admin request for that clients account no matter how many subscriptions they have. I am new to Skuid Please help.
Record Types for objects that should not be available for a user profile are visible in picklists and table filters.I’ve come across the problem in several places in Skuid, most recently I built a table filter that uses Rows in a Model as the values, and the model is RecordType with a condition of SObject Name = Contact. A user that has no access to the Contact Record Type of Shareholder can see the Shareholder option in the Table Filter. This also happens with field editors when the Record Type field is a picklist, all users can see all record types that are available except those limited by filters, even if they don’t have access to a particular record type. It throws an error on save if the user chooses a record type they don’t have access to, but I’d prefer if they just didn’t even see the unavailable record type option.
My pages in Banzai have a ! where my icons used to be. They are there when I preview the page, but not in the page builder. Do I need to do something to get them to show up?
Our story begins with 2 models:“Members” : ordinary custom sObject model, condition where Id = Param.Id. Limit 100 records“UtilityAccount” : custom sObject, condition where Id IN any row from "Members: model. Limit 1000The trouble is that users weren’t getting warnings for bad data on page load if the error was on row #101 or greater. So I changed the limit on “Members” to 1000 records. Life was great in Userville, the page load was a drop slower but Users we’re so excited that they got errors on page load, that they barely noticed. Suddenly the Apex Heap size error reared it’s ugly head. Users were frightened and disturbed by this. Anytime there were more than 500 or so “Members” the page wouldn’t load!Enter the loadNextOffset method! This was added to the API recently, and I immediately spun up a snippet as detailed here: https://community.skuid.com/t/options-around-managing-large-datasets-and-apex-heap-siz… . Now my “Members” model loaded incrementally and all was peaceful. But then
In the “OData Use Case…SQL Server” tutorial, you detail how to add a new data source and define a Model Service for this OData endpoint. However, you say in Step 2 of “Create new Model Service” to define it as “REST”, not “OData1-3”. Why is that? Given that it’s an OData endpoint, seems logical to set the Adapter Name to “Odata1-3”, which is presented in the popup. Thanks,Greg
