Nintex Workflow

Hello Team,I am trying to configure NWC to allow Facebook authentication for external (public) users.Has anyone been able to do this?Here is what I have attempted thus far.I followed this blog post and configured our Azure AD with federation to Facebook and successfully tested this with our own Azure web app.https://www.rebeladmin.com/2020/10/step-by-step-guide-how-to-setup-facebook-federation-with-azure-ad/ I added the "Nintex Identity Platform" to the User flow (Step 7 under the section "Add Facebook federation option to Azure AD portal" in the blog post), but when trying to log in I don't get the option to Sign in with Facebook (Step 2 under the "Testing" section) Thanks in advance for any feedback or suggestions.

I'm using a Data Lookup to display data from a SharePoint list. It displays the picklist values on the Start Form. But, how can I set this field so it has a value preselected? i.e. "Default Value". The need for this is: Start Form shows a bunch of fields, one of them is a Data Lookup which displays a list of 50 US States. The user selects Maryland. (The ID for Maryland is 23 back in the SharePoint list of rows) The workflow then runs and stores all the fields into a new row in the "purchase order" SharePoint list and it correctly sets the "State" field to ID 23. State field is a Lookup datatype in "purchase order" SharePoint list. Then, the workflow routes to a manager so they can approve/reject the form. The manager needs to see and be able to change all values. I then load from SharePoint that freshly new row (using SharePoint - Retrieve an Item) and can put all the values on the form so the manager can see what the employee entered. I can even put the

Hello team,This is a multi-part question/problem, however, I'm trying to achieve something so common and simple. Here is the scenario.I have a list of schools, and each school has a list of buildings with the data stored in a SQL DB. 1) Using a NWC Form, a user selects a school (for review) and a reviewer and starts a new workflow. 2) A Task is assigned to the reviewer selected in step 1.3) The Task is opened and the user can see the details of the school (multiple fields) and a list of the buildings that need to be reviewed. Here comes my first of Issues:  - In order for me to populate the Task form with data from SQL, I need to create a 1 SQL statement action for each field I wish to show on the form, then I need to "Get an Item from the collection", within the workflow (Pre-Task) and finally I need to create a Form Loaded rule to display the value on the form. Hi all - I'm very new to NWC, so I concede that I may just be overlooking some simple step.I've developed a form with a Data lookup field that queries a SharePoint Online list. Everything (data source, connector) seems to be set up fine, and when I test the workflow the lookup works perfectly and provides a dropdown of the choices from the list.However, when I publish the workflow and run it, the field is empty - the dropdown says "No data provided."What's happening here?Thanks for any help that can be given.

Is there a way to append a file with (2) if a file with the same name already exists? Currently, the 'Move a File' connection for Box.com errors out if a file with the same name exists and the entire workflow ends.  THANKS! 

How deep can Call a Workflow actions be nested? I remember having read some time ago about a depth of 2: One workflow can call another workflow and that is it. But my simple test today showed that I can call deeper in NWC than 2.Can anyone shed some light here? Was the limitation of 2 maybe from NW Online? I'd like to know the real limitations. Any link to documentation that I couldn't find apparently is appreciated.

I am putting a date in a list using NWC, and trying to build a site workflow comparing the date stored to the current date. I want to pull any items with a date less than today's date.  In the site workflow, I created a variable to store the current date, then in the O365 list query, I set it to look for any items with dates less than the variable and send them to a collection. My sample data has 2 items with dates less than today, and one in the future, so this should be pulling the two items.However, I got an empty collection. Hi, Will the turning off of SharePoint 2010 workflow functionality in SharePoint Online have any affect on the Nintex Workflow products for the cloud?? And if not, will turning of SP2013 workflow functionality in the Cloud in the future affect the cloud Nintex Workflow product??

Hi, all - NWC newbie here with another question. Is there a way to have the Submit button act as a 'Cancel' button?I have a form that really doesn't need a workflow. It's basically just a worksheet to help certain employees determine which IRS form they're going to need. Form data isn't being submitted or saved anywhere. So what I'd like the Submit button to do is just clear all the data from the form and start over (in case the employee wants to do that).I tried having the form redirect to itself upon submission but that doesn't seem to do anything.Any way to do this?

This is a public service announcment - in case anyone ends up going down the path I did. I have confirmation from Nintex support today that unlike the 'Document Generation' action in O365, the NWC 'Generate Document' action does not support Rich Text or Enhanced Rich Text fields. This includes 'Text - long' fields/variables created on a NWC Start form or fields pulled in from SharePoint.  This isn't clear in the support docs for NWC, but there it is. If you want to include data from a Text - Long or Multiple Lines of Text filed in your Generate Document output, it's plain text only.

The country name 'United Kingdom' becomes #UnitedKingdom  in all our articles and messages. Hashtags like this are used a lot. To create these we need to eliminate spaces from the country name. In NW Online I used to do this with a regex action and replace the pattern s (space) with nothing (empty replacement text). In NWC the Replacement text field is now suddenly mandatory. Is this a glitch or does anyone know another easy way to achieve the same result?

 In Nintex Workflow Cloud the SharePoint Online - Get A File action needs the name of a Document library to get the file from. One obvious choice is almost always there: "Documents". Especially when linked to a team in MS Teams. Seems an easy pick. But when your site is not all English the URL for the Documents library is in another language while it is still named Documents. This actions seems not be able to deal with that properly.  Example: When - once upon a time - you installed your Microsoft tenant and answered "Netherlands"  to the question "In which country is your organisation located?", you're done. Hi everyone.Here is an explanation of what I am trying to achieve using NWC and a form to start the workflow.1) User uploads 1 file using the Form -> Submit2) Save the file to OneDrive (This can be achieved)3) Email the URL of the document in OneDrive to someone I can't seem to find a way within NWC to retrieve the URL.One of the solutions I tried was to extract the File Name of the attached file, but this also seems to be unachievable?Thanks in advance 😉

I am trying to compare specific "people-type" fields in my workflow to specific user in my department. We have moved to SharePoint Online. I have a "Run-If" that I want to compare "Assigned To" to a specific User "John Doe". In on-premise SharePoint 2013, I used to have a roladex icon and could select a specific user. The icon is no longer available. How do I get around this? I set up a people variable, but I can figure out how to set it to a specific person. Thanks

Hi Nintex community, I'm getting an issue where some instances are failing and throwing the following error:  400 - "BadRequest: Message: Invalid path. Paths must begin with a '/' and end with the name of the resource.. CorrelationId: (f2caaa4a-3313-4c2a-a417-41bb148b3cc4_1_1)" The CorrelationId is different each time. I dug into the workflow actions related to the failed instances and nothing seems to be wrong with it; these branches of the workflow have worked perfectly up until today. 5 of the last 6 instances submitted have failed with this error; one went through just fine. How can I solve this? Thanks in advance. 

So I have a Choice - Single field on my form, and the choices are supposed to be dollar amounts: $2,000, $5,000, $10,000, and $20,000. Of course the Options are comma-separated, so if I put those commas in the dollar amounts, my choices come out as:$2 000 $5 000And so on. Is there a way of setting these options the way I want? I guess I could create a list in SharePoint Online and do a Data lookup for it, but it seems kinda awkward to create such a small list for one little purpose. Thanks. P.S. I know, of course, that I can create the options without the commas in them, but I just don't like the way it looks for those amounts (especially the $10,000 and $20,000 options).

I'm trying to figure out the connection string format for connecting to a SQL Server db that resides within a VM. Not a SQL Azure db. The VM is out in Azure, but it is not a SQL Azure db. (This post however is very descriptive in describing what is needed for SQL Azure: https://community.nintex.com/t5/Community-Blogs/Creating-Microsoft-SQL-Server-Connection-to-SQL-Azure-from/bc-p/119768 ) Normally, within my network in SQL Mgmt Studio I simply use ServerNameInstance such as DAVE2019DEV1. This format used to work when I used Nintex on prem within SharePoint, but that doesn't work in Nintex Workflow Cloud, I get "This field has an invalid format". I am getting here by choosing "Connections" menu, Add new: Connector: Microsoft SQL Server. Hello, I am trying to figure out if it is possible to generate an excel document that contains the queried SharePoint list results? I am trying to make a form where a user can request to have the whole SharePoint list exported to excel or grab specific rows from the list based on a search form and have that exported as a spreadsheet.  I tried to see if I could add a document trigger for the collections variable to the excel document for generation but that doesn't seem to be possible. That might make sense though since the queried results could vary as it could be pulling 1 row to as many as 100 rows from the SharePoint list. I know SharePoint also has a built in option to export the whole list to Excel document and I am also curious if there is anyway Nintex can call that option in SharePoint. Thanks in advance.   

we have SharePoint list where we want to configure which field should be shown or not for a group of cascading drop down. We have three Look up controls 1. Product Line, 2.Category 3. Service Type. We also have a list to configure which field on the form should be shown or not based on these 3 look up field combination.Now how can we read this configuration list and show or hide form fieds.With Nintex office 365 we could achieve this using lookup function and variable. NWC doesn't have lookup function nor returns DataLook up control as an object.

Hi there Folks,   Am using Nintex Workflow Cloud Document Generation action to create a PDF which is then saved in a folder in OneDrive.   Does anyone know how to retrieve the link to the file saved using the Document Generation action? I need the link to use as an attachment in an email action   Best Regards   Geoff

First-time poster here. We have a Nintex form on https://www.constructiverenovations.com/vendor-application/ which, until recently (although I don't know exactly when), was working fine. This is a WordPress-based site and the embed code is in a simple HTML widget in the Elementor page editor. The iframe now won't assume its normal full height and, instead, cuts off after only about 160 pixels. I have tested the same code with other pages in the test version of the site and get the same bad result; yet, the embed code works fine within a plain-vanilla HTML page (i.e., outside the WordPress setup). We've made no CSS or other changes that would account for this disparity. Would greatly appreciate any help on this.

I wonder if there is a SharePoint connector for NWC to be used in DocGen? We're not Box users and the only option I see is for OneDrive4B. Am I missing something or should I enter this as a request on UserVoice?Just like in NW365 I'd like to store the output file in a document library on a SP site.Thanks for your reply.

In my Company we have a corrective actions nintex form and approval workflow in SP on-prem. We need some external users to access and complete the form. Our SP is an internal environment.   Would there be any way to integrate NWC with on-prem to share with external contacts and pass back the info to save in on-prem? Any similar scenarios, information are appreciated.

Pretty please, tell me someone has a solution for this. I've figured out how to update managed metadata in SP lists (most of the time - it's a little temperamental), but I absolutely cannot get those exact same columns to update on a library. This is driving me nuts. Please help.
