This technical bulletin is to notify you of upcoming end of support dates that may impact your K2 environment. These deprecations all occur in 2026, so you will need to make an upgrade plan for your K2 environment to remain supported and functioning with these technologies.
Exchange Online EWS Support
If you use Exchange Online with K2, EWS is reaching its deprecation date on October 1, 2026. Support for the Microsoft Graph API with Exchange Online has been released in K2 since K2 (5.8.1). If you do not upgrade to a supported version prior to the deprecation date and use Exchange Online, your emails may not send properly. For more information, see the product documentation for a migration guide.
.NET 8 Core End of Support
On November 10, 2026, .NET 8 Core reaches end of support. K2 uses .NET Core in several services, including the configuration service, OAuth and Claims services, and the JavaScript Service Provider (JSSP). Fix packs will be released for all supported K2 versions to update the .NET Core version from 8 to 10. For more information, see this community post.
XSLT Client Side Deprecation in Chromium
Chrome is deprecating client-side support for XSLT, which K2 uses in design time and runtime experiences. Fix packs will be released for all supported K2 versions so that K2 will continue to function after the XSLT deprecation on November 17, 2026.
There are several workarounds to extend this, based on Chrome’s features. For more info, see this community post.
Next Steps
The community articles listed above will be updated with links to the fix packs or versions needed to address these end of support technologies. Nintex recommends you make a plan now to upgrade your environments or install the fix packs prior to the deprecation dates, to allow you time to test your solutions and minimize any disruptions to your K2 environment.
For K2 Cloud customers, we will be releasing fix packs to address the necessary changes. Our Operations team will schedule a maintenance window to apply the necessary fixes and configuration changes.
Please contact your account manager with any questions or concerns.
