We are writing to remind you about the upcoming end of support of Nintex Workflow for O365 on December 31st, 2025. As previously announced on December 6th, 2023, this product is reaching its end of life. As part of this transition, we have now entered the limited support phase of our support policy (Section III.C.End of Life).

Going forward, support for Nintex Workflow for O365 will be limited to:

  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Identifying workarounds
  • Resolving critical security issues

To keep your workflows running and continue benefiting from advanced automation capabilities, we’ve introduced the Nintex Modernization Program and Workflow Upgrade tooling. This program provides:

  • Partner & Professional Service Offerings to help you transition to Nintex Workflow
  • Tools & on-demand courses if you want to tackle the transition to Nintex Workflow yourself

Your Nintex account manager is always available to answer any questions you may have about the upgrade process.

Important Update (June 1st, 2025): Please note that to assist with the transition from Nintex Workflow for O365, the Workflow Upgrade Tool has now been enabled for all customers.

I am surprised by the December 31st, 2025 date when Microsoft gives us until 4/2/2026:

Starting 4/2/2026 2:00:00 PM, SharePoint 2013 Workflow will be retired and users will no longer have the ability to run or create SharePoint 2013 workflows. Learn more.

@lonuel April 2nd is the day Nintex Workflows in o365 will no longer function, we wanted to make sure there was an adequate buffer between the end of support and the Microsoft retirement.

Hi @leighburke

so from 01.01.2026, does it mean following things:

1) When clicking on a New Item or Opening an Existing Item from a SharePoint List, the Nintex Forms which was published on the list will simply not open and the default SharePoint form will be opened?

2) The Workflows which are not completed until 01.01.2026, will run into error state and will be terminated?

@akash.saraswat

  1. This is just workflow end of support, forms support is not ending but you will need to move your Forms across to SPFx as mentioned here.

  2. This is end of support and not the product being turned off. Workflows may continue to run until the Microsoft retirement depending on your license. However we would encourage you to move any Workflows across to Nintex Workflow before the end of support date to ensure uninterrupted processes.

Dear @leighburke ,

If you upgrade into Nintex automation cloud , you can create a link in SharePoint Online page to get your New Item with Nintex , and you can create a field multitext to view your Item with Nintex , i did it and it work perfectly for me

@Maisa Are you talking about moving the List form to NAC as well?

@Maisa Are you talking about moving the List form to NAC as well?

Not at all , You steel Keep your SharePoint list ,

  • In sharePoint online  create a field exemple ViewForm type multitext (Rich Text (Rich text with images, tables and hyperlinks))
  • In Nintex automation cloud your event must be Nintex form ,

  • Under Assign a task to multiple users decision (Reject or approve)                                      - Set a variable value type text give it a name like varFormUrl and a value of the task form url

    - Create a text string give it a value <a href="{"key":"c_varformurl","valuePath":""}" target="_blank">ViewForm</a> and stock it in a variable of type test (Exemple varViewForm)

    - Update your SharePoint liste chose Your List field ViewForm  and  give it the value varViewForm

  • Once the workflow is executed it will update your sharePoint online list field ViewForm ,when the assign user approve or reject the task

  • In your SharePoint list you can click on your list item field ViewForm to view the form

If you have question call me at +14185766702

Hope that it will help you , have a good day!

@Maisa Thanks for confirming, that’s one option. We will also continue supporting Forms directly on O365 Lists, and you don’t need to use a Form in Nintex Automation Cloud if you prefer not to migrate.

In 2026 Microsoft will not support Nintex form for o365,that why the migration to Nintex automation cloud is the best option

@Maisa Nintex Forms will still be supported using the SPFx app. It is only Nintex Workflow and the legacy app that will not work going forward. You can read more here.
