Nintex Promapp - Contact your Promaster Error when Publishing or Archiving Process

Issue

The following error may be received when attempting to Publish or Archive a Nintex Promapp Process:

An error has occurred.  Please contact your Promaster for assistance

Resolution

To resolve this issue, we recommend:

  1. Copy the Process (Right click on the Process in the left hand navigation window and select 'Copy Process).
  2. Archive the old Process following the instructions in the Archiving section below

NOTE: If you would like to retain the change log for your Process you will need to follow the instructions in the Publishing section below to Publish the existing Process.  

Archiving:

1.            a. Restore the last published Process for standard Processes

  • Change to the Map tab for the Process
  • Select the 'Change Log' tab
  • Find the last published version in the Process Change Log and select the 'Restore' button on the right hand side
  • Select 'Yes' to confirm the restoration

            b. Revert to Standard for Variations

  • Change to the Edit tab for the Variation
  • Select the Cog Wheel menu
  • Select 'Revert to Standard'
  • Select 'Ok' to Confirm

2.     Archive the Process

Publishing to preserve the Process change log:

NOTE: Process Links and Documents will be left as placeholders and require linking once imported.

1.            Export procedure text from latest in progress version

  • Select the Cog Wheel menu on the right hand side of the Process 
  • Select Export > Export to Procedure Text
  • Copy the text in the Procedure text box and paste into notepad

2.            a. Restore the last published Process for standard Processes

  • Change to the Map tab for the Process
  • Select the 'Change Log' tab
  • Find the last published version in the Process Change Log and select the 'Restore' button on the right hand side
  • Select 'Yes' to confirm the restoration

            b. Revert to Standard for Variations

  • Change to the Edit tab for the Variation
  • Select the Cog Wheel menu
  • Select 'Revert to Standard'
  • Select 'Ok' to Confirm

4.            Delete all content from the Process

  • Change to the Edit tab for the Process/Variation
  • Delete all Process details by using the rubbish bin icons (you can delete an entire activity at once by using the bin icon for the activity).

5.            Import the Procedure Text and Save & Publish

  • In the Edit tab for the Process/Variation, Select the Cog Wheel menu
  • Select Import > Import from Procedure text
  • Copy & Pate the Procedure Text that was saved in step 1
  • Update any Documents or Process links - text placeholders will be left 
  • Save & Publish the Process

 

Additional Information

Internal Error Logs: Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.ProcessProcedure' with unique index 'IX_ProcessProcedure_UniqueId'.
