Issue Description

When you add a method to a class for an Endpoint Assembly Service Broker, you can prevent adding methods with the same names in different classes to avoid service object names being iterated to remain unique.

Resolution

The fix is available in:

  1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
  2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
  3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.

Considerations

A new service key is available for the Endpoint Assembly Service Instance called “Duplicate Method Name Handling”. You need to set this service key to “Block” for this change to be applied.

For existing Endpoint Assembly Service Instances, you need to edit the Service Instance from the SmartObject Tester tool. The service key will then be visible in K2 Management.

For new Endpoint Assembly Service Instances, the service key will be available to set in K2 Management.
